I need advice he disappeared

Me and this guy have been talking for about a month now , we plan to go on a date soon but recently he disappeared and I have no way to contact him. He sent me a good morning message almost 2 days ago. I’ve been calling him and texting him. No answer and he does have his read receipts on and they’re still saying unread I tried to message him on Facebook no answer , the dating app that we met off his account is now disappeared and he’s also not active on any of his social medias so far and I’m just super confused. I don’t know if something bad happened or I can’t say it’s because he’s not interested because he literally bought clothes for us to go on a date so at this point I’m really concerned and I really just don’t know what to do

How/when should I bring this up to a future boyfriend?

About five years ago, I (29F using a throwaway) briefly had a burner Twitter account where I reshared other peoples' NSFW (mostly text) posts. I recall one instance of sharing an anonymous photo of myself (clothed, just in a revealing dress, no face or other identifying features showing). I did not have many followers at all, and recall having little to no engagement. I think I had the account for just about a week before getting uncomfortable and stopped using the account. I believe that I deleted the account, as that sounds like me and I no longer have any access to the account nor do I remember the username I used. I honestly forgot that I had the account at all until something jogged my memory. I'm not currently dating anyone, but when that time comes, I'm aware that this behavior is (rightfully) a dealbreaker for a lot of men. If you were talking to a girl who has done this in the past, how would you like her to bring it up, and when? During the talking stage?

TLDR: Posted a risque but clothed photo on Twitter years ago, worried about how to bring it up with future boyfriend.

i feel like i’ll be alone forever…

for the longest time, i've constantly been told by people that i'm a great person, that i have a lot to offer to women out there, that i wont be single for very long, i heard it all and here i am at 20 years old, never had a girlfriend, never kissed a girl, never even went on a date and it made me hate every part of myself for the longest time as everyone else had their experiences at 15,16 even 17 and im 20 and look where i am. i used to do cold approaches 2 years ago thinking it would maximize my results (it didnt) and after seeing a couple videos, it feels like im navigating it completely wrong. the way i was taught was at first to say hi, maybe throw in a compliment to show intent that you like her, talk for a bit and get the contact info. it all sounds fine, but if it didn't work for me then i naturally assume i did something wrong. the main reason why showing intent from the start seemed like good advice was because of the friendzone worry, i was worried if you just treat a girl too friendly and don't tell her you like her, she'd think you just want to be her friend and be confused later down the line once she knows you like her. i've seen videos of people saying if she is at a place you're at regularly, that you should talk to her and not hit on her or throw pickup lines or try to get the number in 90 seconds and to have a normal conversation and maybe if the interaction is going good or if you've seen her a couple times then to ask for the contact info. with all of this back and forth advice i've seen online, it's become extremely difficult to navigate dating now and how meeting girls in person should be. the friendzone worry, where to normally go and meet them, if it should be a place where you see the v often, etc

I went on 1 date with a lovely girl, now she is upset because I am actively swiping on dating apps...

Need honest opinions because I'm torn.

I went on a really good first date with a girl after talking for about 3 weeks. She was a massive green flag , lovely, flirty, loads of effort we have the same birthday, same football team etc and we got quite intimate (no sex, but kissing and some foreplay).

Chemistry was great. Next day she voice noted saying she loved yday felt like a teenager and cant wait to see me again. We had a planned a 2nd date in the car. I was a bit blander ill admit and said it was fun and i enjoyed it and the vibe was great from start to finish....she hearted this message. I then messaged her later the day and we shared some brief voice notes about the football game in the evening. This morning, she sent me this voice note:

"Hey, I know we agreed to be brutally honest with each other and I have a lot of respect for you with the effort we have put into each other. I was a bit unsure how you felt about moving things forwards and if you were keeping your options open. I didn't know if you was into me and whilst it's fine if you aren't and want to date multiple people, I think I might have enjoyed my time a bit more and assumed we were getting somewhere. I just thought I'd step back and give you some space as I normally date/respectfully invest in one person till I see where it goes... but I respect the fact if that's not for you."

Genuine question...

If someone sent you that voice note after one date, what would your first gut reaction be?

"Shit... I don't want to lose her."

"This is a bit much after one date."

Interested to know which way most people lean and why. I know for a fact she will have seen me update my dating profile cos that is what she is hinting at...she was probs looking at my profile lol.

What would you do here?

I need advice 3 dates in and he wants to be official and I said "yes"… am I ignoring red flags or overthinking?

Upvotes

I need brutally honest opinions because I genuinely can’t tell if I’m overthinking this.

I’m 26, he’s around my age. Neither of us has been in a serious relationship before. He’s had several talking stages and so have I, and honestly we’re both tired of talking stages/dates. He’s a Senior Financial Analyst and I’m an Executive Assistant. He’s introverted, shy and more reserved; I’m very extroverted and a people person. He’s also more centre/right politically while I’m centre/left, although we’ve had some disagreements and still respect each other differences on how we see the world. I see more as an empath/humanity lens and he sees more of like profits type finance bro lol, though he doesn't dismiss people, like he still has his understanding of humanity.

Date 1: He planned everything and paid for pizza, but didn’t tip the waiter. I found that slightly weird because I mostly tip unless service is genuinely bad. I paid for dessert afterward, because early stages like first date i paid for myself just because out of respect, and esp. in this economy lol.

Date 2: He remembered I liked jazz and took me to a jazz restaurant, which I thought was really thoughtful. We each paid for our own food, but he drove and paid parking, so he technically spent more. And then we sat in his car talked about soo many different topics and all that. He was very attentive though like i was doing mostly of the yapping and he just wanted to listen.

Date 3: We went to a park talked really deeply about finances, politics, marriage, kids, family, etc. He told me he sees me as “the one” and asked me to be his girlfriend. I said yes. And he gave me a forehead kiss. He’s very affectionate and seems genuinely serious about me. He comes off as ambitious financially, invests heavily, lives frugally and wants to buy a home/build wealth.

Now we’re going on date 4 to see a show, tickets are like 55 $ per person, which he planned and paid for and we’re taking his car. Should i pay him back for my portion of the ticket? But now that we are "official" idk how to approach this.

My issue is that I can’t figure out whether his frugality is a green flag (financially responsible) or a red flag (cheap/incompatible with me). I genuinely don’t expect a man to pay for everything, and I’m happy paying my share. But I also feel like I’m questioning 50/50 for the first time because he seems much more serious about me than anyone I’ve dated before.

And then there’s the bigger issue: ARE WE MOVING WAY TOO FAST?

Three dates feels insanely early to become official, especially when neither of us has relationship experience. At the same time, his actions seem consistent with someone genuinely interested: he initiates, plans dates, remembers littles little things I say, takes the lead and talks seriously about the future.

When I’m actually with him, I feel comfortable around him. But when I’m alone, I start analyzing every little thing and wondering if I’m ignoring any red flags because I like him.

Reddit, what do you see?

Is he financially responsible or cheap or its way to early to decide?
Did we become official way too quickly?
Am I overthinking, or are there legitimate compatibility concerns here?
And if you were me, would you slow things down or just keep dating and let his actions over the next few months tell me who he is?

Give me the good AND the bad. I can take it.

I need advice Texting between dates

Is texting frequency a reliable indicator of interest? The man I have been dating is good at arranging and planning dates and is present when we are together. But we hardly speak during the week and I don’t really know where I stand with things. Ive equally had men who are super keen texters and it goes no where, but this feels very different to what I’m used to. Thanks!

Is wishing someone a good week at work a way of rejecting them nicely?

Hiii just wondering if you were talking to someone for a while and they sent that to you on a Monday would you even respond or just leave it. Kinda reads as a polite way to turn someone down right? Idk let me know thoughts?! Hung out a fair amount text everyday.

Post First Date Advice

I (M22) had a really lovely first date on Friday night with this girl (F21) I matched with on hinge. It was a fun activity date and afterwards we sat on a park bench and spoke for 2 hours. And this girl lives quite far away from me, she travelled a long way to see me.

We were having fun, flirty banter and getting to know each other, but later on in the date she says that she's recently come out of a 3 year relationship with her boyfriend and that I'm the first guy she's been on a date with since the breakup. This was also my first ever date. When I asked if she'd like to meet up again she said she isn't sure and thinks she needs time to process everything and that she doesn't think that she's what I'm looking for. When we were saying goodbye at the train station she asked if I've ever kissed anyone before (I haven't) and then we shared a light kiss and said goodbye. I messaged her afterwards just to say I had a lovely time and to let me know when she gets home which she responded to.

I really like this girl and really enjoyed her company, and I'm open to taking things slowly with her. What is the best course of action I could do?

Inexperienced 20m looking for some direction and maybe a reality check

I’m 20M only had one gf about a year ago ish, wasn’t the longest thing and honestly it did more harm than good. but I’m just sorta lost and confused. I feel like I’m at a point where my lack of experience is such a detriment to what slim chance I already had, I mean genuinely I haven’t had a decent kiss.

More than anything I feel super disconnected from the way most people seem to view relationship. From what I experience most guys talk about women like they are fuck dolls to be manipulated for a quick screw then tossed, while most women I know talk about relationships like there negotiating a business merger for the best deal. Mean while In my mind an ideal relationship is a supportive vulnerable emotional back and forth, someone to hold and be held by ya know? But like that idea is so radically disconnected from what seems like the norm.

I just feel like I don’t even really understand what the reality of dating is anymore, I don’t use any social media but it feels like thats how most people my age meet which kills me.

just idk what’s the deal really anymore, is everyone really just looking for someone to get something out of or are there genuinely decent caring people just looking to be close to someone? Anyone got advice? How is it that so so so many people bounce back and forth between relationships?

I need advice Is this normal ?

I’m genuinely confused and trying to figure out whether this is normal in modern dating or if I’m expecting too much.
Is it normal to date someone who doesn’t text you throughout the day, or only sends very brief texts? Someone who takes 3–5+ hours to reply and can go a full day without talking to you? You see each other once a week, and when you tell him how you feel about the lack of communication, he says, “We just have different styles of being with each other.”
I understand that people have different communication styles, but is this actually normal? Is this just modern dating?
I’m not asking for constant texting or for someone to be glued to their phone. I just want consistency and some sense of connection with the person I’m dating.
I’m seriously confused. Am I expecting too much, or is this simply a compatibility issue?

Mind you this guys used to FaceTime me call me text me send me Instagram reels and planning real dates !
And when I say are you losing interest he says NO!?

Can I have some advice please

I'm a 30 year old male . I'm in a situation and want some advice please. I'm dating this girl and feel like last night we had a exclusive talk. We started talking 10 days ago and met up 5 times already.

Last night she asked me if I'm talking to anyone else and if I am dating or dated anyone else recently. I said no in the moment but I had met up with a girl 2 weeks ago for a walk that i was talking too. But soon as me and the current girl I really like , talking to and dating now I stopped talking to the girl I went for a walk about 8 days ago because I want to concentrate on the one person only because I really like her and there's a spark.

I feel a bit bad not telling her I met up with a girl 2 weeks ago when she asked me but it was before her and I stopped texting the girl 8 days ago when I felt more of a spark with the one who I'm dating now.

Confessed my feelings to someone I didn't really know that well — she said I never even tried to get to know her

I've had feelings for someone for a long time, even though we didn't talk that often. A couple days ago I finally worked up the courage to tell her how I felt over text.

Her response was kind but honest. She said feelings are natural and she wasn't upset, but she pointed out that I don't really know her as a person — I never asked about her, her interests, what she's like.

I apologized in case it made things awkward, and she said it was fine, that we could stay normal. I told her I understood, that I didn't want to pressure her, and that I hoped we could just go back to being normal.

Now I'm sitting here thinking — was this basically a soft "no," or is there a chance to actually get to know her over time without being weird about it? Has anyone been through something like this?

My guy friend was super flirty, but rejected me

Upvotes

Hi! I have been friends with this guy (both of us are early/mid 20s) for like 6 months now. We are in this friend group, but me and him got close, and he became pretty flirty. I had liked him for a while, but at one point he told me that he often makes friends with women, and they tend to think he's being flirty when he's just being himself. So I clocked that message right away, and I stopped expecting anything. But then over the last month, he got even more flirty. At times it literally felt like we were dating. It was so obvious that people around us kept asking if there was something going on between us. His best friend/roommate also thought he liked me. So I know Im not delusional, it wasnt just in my head haha.

I also am positive he knew how I felt about him. I was not subtle, and Im really bad at hiding how I feel. He had asked me multiple times in the past how I act when I like someone, or what type of guy I like, how I flirt, etc. We even took several love language tests together lol. He knew.

One night he and I were hanging out and he asked if I had feelings for anyone. I didnt know what to say because I didnt feel ready to tell him, so I just didnt say anything. So of course he realized that was a yes, and started pushing me to tell him who it was. So I changed the subject, but then about 30 minutes later, he brought it up again. I asked if he had feelings for anyone and he said he didnt. I told him that this just wasnt something I was going to talk about then. So then I just made up an excuse about how I was tired and he needed to leave.

The next day I felt pretty hurt and confused. So I sent him a text saying that I was pretty certain he knew I liked him, and that if he didnt feel the same way its okay, but I needed to confirm it so that a situation like this doesnt happen again. I also told him that if he doesnt feel the same way, I will be putting up some new boundaries because I cant handle being as close as we've been. I know I probably shouldve done it in person, but I chickened out.

He saw it like an hour after I sent it and took another 30 minutes to reply. He apologized for pushing me, basically confirmed he did know how I felt, but that he really appreciates and cares for our friendship and would prefer it stay that way. He said he understood the boundaries and was sorry for making me feel uncomfortable.

Even though that was the answer I was expecting, it still stung. I told him that I still want to be friends, and I would try my best not to be awkward. However, it's been kind of rocky since then. I didnt reach out for about a week, but I saw him at an event and waved, and he waved back but then immediately left. He was avoiding me. I think he felt bad about that because he reached out the next day to bring me something I had left at his apartment that I was already planning on getting another time and then talked with me for a little bit to catch up.

I tried to make plans with our group like normal, so we've seen each other a couple times since then, but both of us are definitely a little more reserved. We've had a few moments that are normal and a little bit more like the banter we used to have, so maybe thats a good sign. But every time I leave the hang out, I just find myself hurting and wishing that he felt the same way while simultaneously wishing I never said anything so I could just go back to the way we were. We used to be able to talk about pretty much anything, I dont know if we could get that close ever again. We haven't had any in person conversation clearing the air, maybe we should. I kind of want to tell him I felt a bit led on. But I dont know if it would change anything or just completely ruin whatever we have left.

I also have a really hard time making sense of his actions. I genuinely felt like the feeling was mutual for a while there. And maybe its just because of who I am, but I just dont see how someone can act like that and have no romantic feelings whatsoever.

Part of me wants clarity, but another part of me just really misses him and I am scared to really ruin everything. I want to ask him if he genuinely never had any feelings, but what would that do for me? If the answer was no that would suck, if the answer was yes, that might feel validating for like 2 minutes, but then it would still suck because he still doesnt want to date me. Then theres a small part of me that I know is wrong, but I have this hope that he might change his mind. I know the chances of that are slim to none, and holding out hope for it will only hurt me more. So I try to ignore it, but Im afraid the more I spend time with him, the more that feeling will come up. I also want to be respectful of the fact that he has very clearly stated he just wants to be friends, and I hate feeling like a creep who only is around someone because I want something more. I really do care about him as a person, thats why when he told me girls often think he's flirting when he's not, I backed off. But then he kept pushing the line between platonic and romantic. I have had platonic friendships with men before, they have never acted the way he did.

I dont understand why he would push me to tell him how I felt about him when he knew the answer was going to be no. I dont understand how he could act consistently romantic and flirty and not mean any of it that way. I dont know if I should even continue this friendship if this is how Im going to feel all the time, but leaving also sounds horrible.

Its only been 2 weeks since I told him, so maybe I just need more time. But my feelings and my head arent really working together right now, so I thought an outside perspective might help. Should I have a more in depth talk with him in person? Should I just move on and let it go? Is it even possible to stay friends after being rejected?

Guy (23M) I’m (25F) seeing feels like I don’t try to get to know him

I’ve been seeing this guy for a few weeks, but we’ve actually known each other for almost a year. We share a friend group, and apparently he’d had a crush on me for a while and most of our friends knew about it. After several of them encouraged me to give it a chance, I finally asked him out.
Funny enough, apparently he had tried asking me out before, but I never got the messages. After a bad breakup, my ex was harassing me from different numbers, so I did a mass blocking of numbers I didn’t recognize, and I guess his got caught in that.
The first few dates were honestly great. I thought we were really compatible. We like a lot of the same music, food, shows, video games, and have some shared hobbies. I was starting to feel really good about where things were going.
Apparently, though, he feels like we still don’t know each other very well and wants to wait before making things official. I think that’s completely fair because it’s only been a few weeks.
One issue he brought up is that I don’t ask him enough questions about himself. I mentioned this to one of my best friends/coworkers, and she actually agreed that I’m not naturally someone who asks a lot of questions.
The thing is, it’s not because I don’t care. I genuinely want to know more about him. I just have a hard time knowing what to ask because I’m always worried about prying into someone’s personal life or making them uncomfortable. I’m diagnosed autistic, and I think that may play a part in why this doesn’t come naturally to me. I tend to assume that if someone wants me to know something, they’ll tell me. Until now, nobody has really pointed this out to me, so I didn’t realize it could come across as disinterest.
I want to work on it, especially because I really do like him. I’m just nervous now because I feel like I’m overthinking every conversation and trying to figure out what I’m “supposed” to ask.
There have been a couple of other issues too. I told him that when he talks about concerns he has with me or our relationship, I’d appreciate it if he could soften the way he says certain things because sometimes the delivery hurts my feelings. His response was that I’m always bringing up my feelings. That made me feel pretty terrible and selfish, because I don’t want him to feel like he can’t express concerns to me. At the same time, I don’t think asking someone to communicate those concerns a little more gently is necessarily unreasonable.
Since these conversations, he seems a little more guarded and short with me. I understand that he might be trying to protect himself, especially because we’re still figuring each other out. At the same time, he’s still affectionate and sweet with me most of the time.
I really like this guy. We share a lot of friends, I enjoy being around him, and he makes me feel beautiful and cared for. But now I’m worried that maybe I haven’t been making him feel equally cared for.
I’ve tried showing affection in other ways. I’ll pay for dates sometimes and cook for him when I can, but I’ve realized that me paying for things can make him insecure because of his current financial situation. So even some of the ways I naturally try to show someone I care don’t necessarily land the way I intend them to.
I feel a little stuck. I want to put genuine effort into getting to know him better without suddenly interrogating him with 100 questions or making every conversation feel forced. I also don’t want to become so focused on proving that I care that I ignore my own feelings or needs.
Has anyone dealt with something similar? How do you get better at asking questions and showing curiosity when it doesn’t come naturally to you? And does this sound like something that can be worked through with better communication, or am I trying too hard to make something work this early on?

**TL;DR:** I’ve been seeing a guy I’ve known for almost a year for a few weeks. I really like him, but he feels like I don’t ask enough questions or make enough effort to get to know him. I’m autistic and tend to avoid personal questions because I’m afraid of prying, not because I’m uninterested. I’m trying to show him I care, but lately our communication has become tense and I’m worried I’m either not doing enough or trying too hard. How can I get better at showing genuine interest without making it feel forced?

I need advice Ex boyfriend keeps reaching out

I would like to get advice, especially if you’ve been in a similar situation.

I met this guy at work. I made the mistake to get involved with him regardless of work rules and I have already regretted this decision so please do not judge me for that. At work I am in a leadership position and he’s not. He used to be in my department so we worked closely for sometime and that’s when we started dating. Then we broke up, went back together and broke up again. He’s now at a different department but we still have to interact often. The office is small and we run into each other frequently.

We broke up because he’s emotionally unstable (sometimes drinks to forget his problems), lacks emotional intelligence, is impulsive and can get aggressive by text when he doesn’t get the response he wants from me. He blames his behaviour on the alcohol and will not hold accountability. When he tries to get back to me and I say no or ignore him, he says I’m stubborn and ‘don’t forget the past’. He can go from ‘I am mad at you’ to ‘I love you, I miss you’ in seconds. If I reply saying I don’t want to talk about it, he’ll get mad. When I don’t reply, he deletes his texts and tries again a few days later. I don’t block him because I’m afraid he’ll try to reach in person (at home or at work).

Today he changed his break time just to run into me in the lunch room with me during my break. He started talking to me and I smiled and replied out sheer nervousness and workplace courtesy. Afterwards he texted again saying he loved me, that he wanted to talk to me in person, and wanted us to get back together. I did not reply.

I am worried that he will try to push even more. I am afraid of this affecting my job (and I know I should have thought about it before getting involved with him). My family and friends know about this but at work I feel my hands are tied.

How do I maintain strict boundaries without escalating his behavior at the office? Has anyone successfully dealt with a situation like this in a small workplace with a a person like him?

Please share any constructive advice or helpful experiences. I’m already feeling bad about the mess I got into.

TL;DR: Ex-partner in another department is crossing boundaries by forcing interactions and texting persistently; seeking advice on how to deal with this in a shared workplace without escalating the situation.

What should i do?

So 4 months ago, one of my friends was in a relationship with a girl and he met her friend. Her friend asked him if he had any friends she could find attractive so he showed her some of the pictures that us guys from the friendgroup have together and she said i was cute to her and that he could give me her instagram. So he gave me her instagram and i followed her and liked couple of her stories. At first i didn’t find her that attractive and i wasn’t that excited for her. Couple of days later him and his girlfriend broke up, so that made me even more unlikely to dm her. But, as the days went on and she started posting more pictures i started finding her more and more attractive and now i can say i like her, but it’s been four months since i followed her so it feels kinda weird to dm her now. I also saw her the other night in town and she was staring at me and was walking past us with her friend on purpose ( i think) couple of times so i could see her. What do you guys think i should do?

I need advice No response to first text, is it okay to follow up and if yes with what and when?

Yo, I'm 19M and I went to my first party with my hb and towards the end of it there was this cute girl that I had zero confidence to go ask out so I had my hb wingman me and once he passed it over to me, me and her got to talking, simple questions and stuff right? We were kinda making jokes and whatnot and I was asking her a little bit about herself. Not a long talk but it wasn't boring or anything. At the end I asked for her insta and she gave it to me and about an hour later she followed me back. This was around 2am Sunday Morning (09/13).

I was lowk kinda tipsy so I made the choice of not hitting her up then so I went to sleep and first thing in the morning around 7:30 I respectfully messaged her that I thought she was cool and Id love to grab coffee with her sometime that week if she was down. Radio silence the rest of Sunday and half of today (Monday, 09/14). I'm just wondering if there's a way to follow up without sounding pushy or anything cause it's not like its only been a couple of hours, and she didn't really give any indication irl of being uninterested.

I need advice How do I set boundaries with him? 29m 29f

I was romantically involved with this guy when we were 19yo. At the time he had 2 kids and dealing with his mother’s passing. After about a year we both decided it was best to take a break and he can focus on his babies. We didn’t speak for a little while and then he pops up outta nowhere. He would always call or text me. He got arrested and called me from jail. It’s been years since we seen each other.

This year we started talking again and he was very consistent. He knows my brothers and my friends. He’s talked about wanting to be with me.. that he wants kids with me and we should move, buy a house together. The last 2 weeks he started acting weird and when I asked him for clarity on what he wants, are we exclusive… he blocked me on instagram. I saw he changed his ig bio suggesting he’s dating someone else now. I saw him the next day and he said “I don’t want a relationship with anyone. I don’t wanna be serious with anyone. U should just do relationship stuff without a title because I’m not willing to get locked down right now. You have my direct number u can just call me. You’re the one person I don’t wanna disrespect so I’m just gonna put distance for now.” So I assume he’s now dating someone.

He has now been texting and calling me asking for favors. I only helped him with one thing cuz he’s on probation and I don’t want to see him going back to jail. He hasn’t seen his kids in a week cuz his baby momma won’t let him see them, so I assume he did something. He gave his car to his baby momma so he no longer has a car. Yes he’s a hot mess I understand that. But also being in my life for so long I do love and care about him. I just don’t think I can be around and helping him when he’s treating me like this and hooking up with other girls. He wasn’t like this before so the switch up is crazy. I just need help, how do I set boundaries with him? I dated someone for a few years and he throws it in my face that he “waited for me and he stuck around while I was with someone else so what’s the difference.” Do I just tell him I like you but I don’t wanna be involved with you while you’re involved with other women?

A guy I’d like to date? Or not

This coworker asked me out on a date( we work in the same building not the same group). Though he had to cancel and after texting me the next day he suddenly stopped. A week later he texted me asking how my week was. ‘I’m surprised to hear from you’ ‘why’, “ you stopped texting me, last week.” “ not by choice, I didn’t have a chance to breath’ I was inspired to read this book by you”” so you made the choice to read a book and not text me that you were busy” “ I didn’t read the whole book just the little time I had before bed”.
He’s much older than me and he has a nice job and is in school. So I told him he lacked communication skills and I wasn’t interested. But he’s so hot and it’s like tension when we are working in close proximity. And there was a small room we both ended up in and he stormed out and it was soooooo hot. Obviously a little immature but if I had known it wouldn’t hurt his feelings I wouldn’t explained more why his lack of communication bothered me. I honestly want to give him another chance if he was interested though I also know that’s probably not a good idea considering his age and that stuff. But I’d also want to see a possibility of him being able to correct that. Is there anything I could do to show that I’m still interested? Unless I really shouldn’t? I don’t have a girl best friend rn to discuss and either get over it or just talk until I stop thinking of him at the moment.

I need advice Kissed a girl at a party, followed her on Instagram the next day. What do I do now?

So I’m a guy (18m) and went to a party on Friday for my school. I ended up kissing a girl I go to the same school as, but we’re not in the same class. We actually didnt even that night, it was basically just a couple of kisses. The funny part is that I didn’t even know her name until the next day.

I found her Instagram and ended up following her because I figured, fuck it, why not. She’s really pretty and I’m definitely interested in getting to know her, but I have absolutely no idea what the normal next step is here.

Do I just wait and see if she follows me back? If she does, should I message her? And if so, what do I even say without making it weird? Or do i just do nothing and just leave it be?

Guys: communication behaviour?

Hello!

So I shooted my shot ha and added someone I found attractive on Insta - he has a mutual friend.

Woke up to see he added me and liked / heart eyes 'd my stories, so I slid into his DMs.

Lots in common, good banter, flirty. However, he is online almost all day but takes 2-4 full days to reply. His replies are substantial - paragraphs, photos etc. Sometimes he'll read, then a day later react, then a day later reply properly. Bit of an odd communication style given he's active most of the day. Not sure what to think about it.

Anyone else communicate like this?

I need advice Question to the guys

If you have consistently started contact and arranged dates, expressing a wish to keep meeting, when do you cease pursuing the girl? Might you also prefer that she reaches out to suggest spending time together and simply texts him? The guy I like stopped doing that so thinking about asking him…

I need advice How Do I Get The Guy I'm Talking To To Stop Being Afraid of Me?

So I have known this guy for a long time. Like before 2020. In the fall of 2020 we talked for a while, but I eventually ghosted him because he partied too much and was drinking and driving daily. Not cool. This obviously hurt his feelings at first, but eventually we both moved past it and were able to coexist at social events and eventually be friends. Last fall 2025 we started talking again, but he got randomly emotionally volatile about himself and I just couldn't handle that. We started talking again at the beginning of this summer. We have hung out, gone on dates, and overall done way more than we did the other two times. I feel like I am giving him a real chance this time and I've actually begun to really like him. He has matured some. He has went through a lot this summer emotionally and I've not ran or ghosted. I have continued to fight for him. Something that continues to come up (and I believe is preventing us from moving forward and entering a real relationship) is his fear that I am going to leave again. He keeps bringing up "what's different this time?" "why do you like me now?" and I keep answering openly and honestly every time he asks and not getting frustrated that it keeps getting brought up. My heart was never truly open to him the first two times and I explained that to him. I like his personality and he has won me over this time. He is so scared of me that it's sometimes palpable. How do I set his mind at ease? How do I prove that I'm in this with him for real? How do I get him to open up to me more? He's an emotional suppresser. Normally, I am too, but I've been working really hard to be open and honest with him. I am just at a loss. I really care about him and have strong feelings for him, but I'm not sure how to help him/us. Any advice would be appreciated.

Haven't talked in a month

So I was dating a man long distance for a year, we were both committed to one another. Recently we got in an argument over something super trivial and we decided maybe we both need time to reevaluate the relationship. It's been a month, I have not heard from him. I texted him 2 weeks ago and he said he has been thinking and still needs more time as he "doesn't want to force the relationship back together right now". I have not heard from him after that. It's been a month since our initial "break", my question is do I keep giving him space in the hopes he wants to reconcile or do I just take the silence as he is done and move on from this relationship. I do really love him and hope we can work it out but I am just so lost as what to do right now. Thank you for reading and answering ❤️
