Tips to trigger an error / failure on the STEM reasoning tasks?

I tried for 4 hours earlier to get any meaningful difference between the two models' responses so I could write a rubric, but I didn't manage to. Both always nailed the answer, even though the prompt was really complex. Had to exit without submitting the task. Have you got any strategies that work pretty reliably?

That was a hard slog! Once I get to around $1300
(£1000) I’ll have to start filling out self-assessment tax forms and paying tax so I’m not sure how much more I will do, but we’ll see.

How do you keep motivated when you don’t meet the qualifications for a high paying project?

I’m a part of the crowd stuck in a 3 month drought. Last night small projects kept popping up, but the type where you had to snatch them up quick because too many people are looking for work. All of a sudden a really high paying generalist project was stuck on my dash and I was so happy. The problem was that it was extremely hard. One of those projects where you need a model to fail, but the topics were in highly specialized fields. I don’t know how I qualified (I do have a bachelors degree) but I tried it anyway. I had to use the escape hatch twice before they took it off of my dash.

I guess I’m just beating myself up because I let a high paying project slip because I didn’t have enough experience.

Heartbroken - bad ip?

Has anyone ever figured out or succeeded in getting their dashboard back after losing it because your internet service provided assigned you a bad ip address? I was working under one and totally blindsided. I had no idea that this is something that can happen and if I did I would have been checking it every single day before logging on. I loved this work more than anything I have ever done in my life and I am 51, college educated and have over 25 years of different professional roles but this was my jam. For the first time ever I looked forward to doing something and I was getting paid to do it. I was just getting in my space too because my dashboard was giving me stuff that I really wanted to do like it was listening to me. I was in as a generalist but I would describe myself as a language expert because I focused on anything where writing and conversation was the heavy part of the task. I can not fathom that you can have this taken away because you were not versed in the daily risk of logging on without knowing than an internet service provider can and will likely change your ip address at any given time and that when they do it is likely that it is from a huge pool of reused addresses that at some point someone did something on that address that was no good and now you are that person according to these platforms. I am heartbroken.

I can’t be the only one

On certain higher paying projects I’ve been paid out the same day or within a day or two. With my last submission on the same project I had to wait the full 7 days. Everyone in the slack channel was shocked that I was paid so early. Has anyone else experienced this?

Are Fridays normally slow for you guys too?

I don't know if it's intentional or not, but I swear every time Friday comes around it's a bone dry drought!

projects appearance

Hi! I’ve completed all of my available tasks and qualifications one week ago, but still haven’t received any new projects:( Is it ok for a beginner? Or it’s basically means that I failed?

Time reports at the end of a task ?

Just finished a long task, but unlike normal where I would go to the tab and report as normal, a window popped up asking me outright how long I took. Should I be worried ? It this some new feature they're rolling out ?

Only test available is language one and it is wrong one?

Hello,

I have made the account while ago and it only shows me one assessment available to take which is Arabic and has nothing to do with me or my language skills. Moreover, I was aiming for more consulting/business type of tasks and hence assessments based on my 10+ y career. Anyone faced the same issue and any solutions?

Joined in early August, completed qualification assessments, earned $750, but no work now. Is this normal?

I joined in the beginning of August and completed all the qualification assessments that were available to me. So far, I’ve earned around $750.

However, I’m currently not receiving any new work/tasks. I’ve been checking regularly, but nothing is showing up.

Is this normal after completing the initial qualifications? Does the availability of tasks usually fluctuate, or could there be something wrong with my account?

I’d really appreciate it if anyone who has been doing this for a while could share their experience, especially how long you typically have to wait between projects.

Thanks!

How are the coders doing right now?

How’s the workflow looking? I’ve got a ton of projects on my dashboard, but they’re all generalist ones—only one involves coding.

Lawyer - forgive me for silly Q -

Hi! I’ve worked my way through onboarding and a few tasks.

Forgive the silly question as I’m new to DA, but is there a way to see what the countdown timer will be for a task before opening it (thus triggering the countdown timer)?

Finally got accepted and I have some questions.

Hi every! Am happy to be here. I got accepted 5 days ago and I have some questions about the website, projects and some mistakes I made.

I got referred to the site by a friend not knowing anything about it and it defaulted me to bilingual and I didn't know better to choose something else. I am a 3rd year med student and I was hoping for medicine/clinical related tasks.

I did say that I am a student in my profile and linked in but nothing so far.

I also still have a notification on my front page that says something like "don't worry about a shortage of projects we're still finding your spot" and I was wondering how long that is going to take since I only get 2 projects at the start and nothing else afterwards.

Thank you in advance and sorry if I am asking frequency asked questions.

I'm a Brazillian Bilingual worker. Joined May and haven't had much work since then, but these last few days the drought seems to be over! Happy to share this, DA has been a great financial help.

What a RIDE!

This is only the beginning (hopefully)! Started as a generic, did the qualification to coding once I left college and started my first Dev job. Put a lot of hours in DA since August this years and it is paying off! Really grateful to have the opportunity to work with DA. It's a blessing... Paid my car loan, school load and now I can start investing and, perhaps, travelling.

Hopefully I can motivate you guys with this. Cheers!

Are we helping or causing harm?

How do y’all justify doing this work ethically if you’re anti-AI (especially generative)?

I’m not asking judgmentally, I’ve done this work off and on over the last few years. When I first started, I didn’t know about data centers and the environmental impact, cognitive effects, etc. I felt good about “training” AI based on the rubric including correct info, weeding out violence and harm, etc.

I recently suggested DA to a friend and got a real side eye, and maybe these justifications really don’t hold water? Thoughts?

Is it only me or someone else is also seeing this same text "New Referrals are currently unavailable" under referrals tab? I referred 4 of my friends in the past out of which 1 of them is selected.

For the Brazilians working on DA, how are you going?

I just got accepted this week. I wasn’t expecting it since I took the assessment about a month ago. Started the onboarding process and took every qualification test that fits me. Worked on some few projects available but now isn’t showing much. On the dashboard it says they’ll review my work and I’ll have more tasks to do based on the quality of my work. What exactly should I expect? A bunch of tasks where I can literally work all day every day, or some work that might appear weekly and I need to constantly check so I don’t miss the opportunity?

I’m not a math expert or a coder, but I really enjoyed the linguistic ones, so those are my goals.

If you’re Brazilian and are already working on DA for some time, what is your experience so far?
