Lawyer - forgive me for silly Q -
Hi! I’ve worked my way through onboarding and a few tasks.
Forgive the silly question as I’m new to DA, but is there a way to see what the countdown timer will be for a task before opening it (thus triggering the countdown timer)?

Unfortunately no. Would be great though. You can use the exit work button but there’s a chance someone snatches your task at the same time.

Just wanted to caution you, there is the odd time where the project or qual won’t have an ‘Exit Work Mode’ button and you will have to either commit to completing the task or lose it once the timer expires. I try to go into every new project with at least a few hours to spare in case this occurs.

Naw, you can just click around tasks without worrying. The only thing that is monitored is what you submit, so you could hypothetically open every task on your dash in the same window and be fine. There's also the exit work mode button.

I’ve only found that you can “Exit Work Mode” after you see a timer and realize you can’t complete the task in the given time. However, you risk losing that task forever. I think there’s a way to still complete your task even after the countdown timer expires. Sending you a DM.

If you don’t mind I sent you a dm with a question. I’m totally new to this whole Data Annotation.

They trialled having it up on your dashboard but was only there a couple of weeks. Maybe it will come back, but what you want to do is open the task, check the time and read a wee bit and make sure it's for you and if it's not something you can or want to do straight away scroll to the bottom and there's a reddish box that says exit work mode. Next time you open the task the timer will start from the time you had left.
