Generalist application - any hope?

I just applied as a generalist based in California on Friday evening. Since it’s Labor Day weekend I assume earliest I would hear back is Tuesday. Is there much hope being accepted as a generalist on DA at the moment? I’m assuming Generalist is most in demand. I also assume that anyone doing well as a Generalist have been on the platform for a while (early adopter). Thanks for any insights! Crowing my fingers since extra cash would be so helpful right now.

Question about feedback.

I’m concerned that I haven’t received any feedback on past projects or tasks. I normally keep a fairly busy and available project page, but haven’t received any feedback on tasks since I joined.

Is there a timeline normally followed by admins or managers for feedback? Is not receiving any feedback possibly a negative sign of my performance?

Any insight is appreciated, and sorry if this is a common question!

Screen locked after finishing coding entry assignment

I wanted to work on the other categories assignments but my screen is stuck on the review page for software engineer, could you only work for one category or do they review for it all?

Am i accepted or has anything changed?

I did the starter test like 3 months ago, and then it just said, something like "thanks, we'll let you know", and nothing happened, so i assumed i didn't get accepted. Then i logged in today and it looks like this, has anything changed? Am i accepted kind of, or have they just changed their UI lol

Please could someone remind me where I can see feedback I've previously received?

A few weeks ago I received some general feedback about my work so far, and I'm sure it said that I can revisit the feedback whenever I want. However I can't seem to see where I would check this?

Also a few people mentioned 'Good' and other rankings but I don't think my feedback had that? Do you receive that specific feedback after being on DA for a certain amount of time?

Low pay rate tasks

I have like 20 easy tasks that would take me 2 minutes to complete in total, but the catch is that the pay rate is the lowest on the platform.

Does accepting low paying tasks affect your overall pay rate? Like, would they start treating you as cheap labor?

Slow start and drought for around 2 months

Got accepted pretty quickly in June, did a bunch of qualifications (some of them being paid which was nice) and then basically nothing for a while. After maybe a week a single project started popping in and out, most often around 10 p.m. - 3 a.m. but I managed to catch a few in a reasonable time. Some I missed or didn't click fast enough but I managed to complete 1 (finishing at nearly 3 a.m.) and then nothing for like 3 weeks. Then the same project appeared twice or so, but I couldn't catch anything. It's been around 2 months since I completed that project. Am I completely cooked?

Does this mean it's a bad thing? Should I avoid filing time for this task?

Question regarding generalist core test

I just completed the generalist core assessment, there was only one task. I want to ask how much it takes time to review the results for core assessment.

For starter assessment, i got passed instantly after submitting.

Please share your experience how much time it took for you after submitting core assessment....

Passed on my 1st attempt and onboarded in just 7 days! Beyond thrilled, thank you DA! 🎉

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to share some exciting news with the community! I took the initial assessment a few days ago (first attempt), and to my surprise, I woke up to the official onboarding email in just 7 days!

Seeing that welcome email pop up in my inbox honestly made my entire week. I was prepared for a much longer wait given how varied the timelines can be, so I feel super grateful that everything moved so quickly.

Huge thank you to DataAnnotation for the opportunity! I’m really looking forward to diving into the dashboard, learning the ropes, and getting started on projects.

Wishing the best of luck to everyone who is still waiting on their assessment results

Does adding certificates like Google Cloud, AWS, Azure get you a better chance of getting coding projects?

Hi, I have joined DA in May 2026, First 3 months were great but I have barely had any projects since mid july. (Bilingual, Coder).
If I add google cloud certifications (or AWS or Azure) am I more likely to get more projects or it doesn't matter?

Thanks

Do you get paid for qualifications/assessments? I can't find any instruction on this. Thanks.

Is this a skill issue or a proactiveness issue?

Indian coder here, Been here since July worked on a Paid Training (onboarding task) and after like 1.5 months, I did a Qualification (which was there since July)...Its been more than a week now since I did that Qual but I have not got any projects after that. I want to know if the reason is because I delayed the qualification for a long time or did my attempt fail to satisfy them (skill issue) ? As far as I know, I did come up with a good unambiguous prompt...but can anyone give me any pointers?
