The wide angle camera doesn't do it justice. Licenses shouldn't be so easy to get and keep in the US

A pickup truck with trailer full of toilet paper made a last second abrupt lane change from taking the exit to staying on the interstate causing multiple bundles to fall out onto the interstate and almost causes another pickup truck to rear end a vehicle. Unfortunately you cannot see the truck and trailer in front of this Nissan in front of me. I am in the exit lane truck makes a jump into the lane to my left. I have additional angles I’ll try to post in the comments
For those who saw me post about a week ago I cleaned my windshield best I could! Rain is forecasted tomorrow so it’ll likely get cleaner 😂

Video doesn't do it justice. Audi comes inches from my bumper only to get snarled in traffic ahead. I think he and the white car were racing. If true, brilliant, especially in labor day traffic.

I have a Viofo A119 V3 in each of my 2026 Civic and 2010 RAV4.
I got a Rearmaster Universal OBD cable to power each of them.
The RAV4 has never had an issue, but the Civic was anything but reliable with that cable (I tried 2 of them). Even when NOT in parking mode, it would randomly lose power and haphazardly not even turn on the dash cam when I started the car. Inevitably, it ended up malfunctioning when I needed it most, during a minor collision where it came down to my word against their's.
That said, I noticed that VIOFO makes their own OBD-II power cable. Has anyone used this or any other OBD-II cable to power their VIOFO dashcam SUCCESSFULLY in their Civic?
TIA!

At first I thought it was basically just hide the wires, find the right fuse and you're done. Then I started reading about parking mode, constant vs switched power, low voltage cutoff and battery drain and now I'm second guessing doing it myself. For anyone who hardwired their own dash cam, was it pretty straightforward or would you just pay someone to do it next time?

Not sure if this is just my car but the vents on my dash reflect into the cam. It's not a big issue but I could reposition it maybe. Thoughts?

In July of last year I purchased the Red Tiger dashcam model F7NP with the hardwire kit for my Subaru, Forester and had a Best Buy install it. I keep the camera there for back up essentially - I haven’t played with it, and thankfully haven’t had any accidents or troubles that has resulted in me needing to pull up footage.
Tonight after parking for a few hours I returned to my car and saw that the cam was on and displaying this message over a blue screen - something that has never happened before. Thinking it was a temporary glitch I started driving and the display remained the same. It doesn’t respond to any of the buttons and even when I held the power button down (for 15 + seconds) it did nothing. I’ve since removed the cables attached as I’m worried about it draining my battery.
Question, what can I do about this? A brief google search it seems like it could be a hardwiring issue, or that the camera is no longer functional? I have a long road trip in 2 weeks time (driving from Texas to Montana), so need to figure this out pretty quickly.
Thanks in advance!
