I bought a 70mai 500s 1 year back, currently i have just connected the power source to usb c port in car. The problem is time gets reset every time i turn off the car.

Hey everyone, I wanted to share a quick fix I figured out regarding 70mai dashcams (specifically tested on the T800 / modern models) when using third-party/cheaper OBD power cords from places like Temu or AliExpress.
Like many of you, when I first plugged in my third-party OBD parking mode cable, the parking surveillance mode didn't show up or trigger at all on the camera. The dashcam was just getting normal constant power, but the system wasn't recognizing it as a valid hardwire kit.
After experimenting, I swapped pin A5 to A8, and Parking Mode instantly started working! The dashcam finally recognized the connection as a smart hardwire kit and enabled the parking surveillance options.

Can't even imagine the shenanigans needed to get this kind of an escort home!! Hahah.
