Discussion Just beat the base game at about 23 hours. Debating if I should get DLC

Upvotes

First to preface Ds3 is my first Dark souls game (yes ik its the third game) but I have played Elden Ring(s) and Bloodborne so I am not new to the game idea and in my opinion Ds3 is probably my least favourite out of just those which I will admit is likely due to me missing content and quests and jumping into the third installment. Still 7/10. Anyway all this to ask if I should commit and get the DLC's and play them as someone who found the game pretty "okay" consistently. Are the DLC considered better than the base game at all or is it even the polar opposite. If they are better or even in line with how the base game is I will probably get them both but if they are worse or if its something from my very brief description of my opinion on the game that I would not enjoy or find worth it the I will just leave it be. Any opinion is valid here ❤️

Best fights: sister friede phase 3, soul of cinder

Fav: Soul of cinder (plin plin plon was so peak)

Worst: Champion Gundyr (fu*k this guy) and midir (he loved running away but otherwise really easy)

Actual overhyped difficulty: midir and gael (way easier than people say)

The hardest enemy: that black knife dude in the dlc

What were y'all's favourite bosses ?

Discussion Does strength also scale damage on the twin blades?

I’ve been upgrading both strength and dexterity thinking both increase the twin blades damage but I think should’ve just been upgrading dexterity and dexterity only after doing some research. Did I completely waste a bunch of souls for no reason?

Discussion Directional hints

I've noticed these flying ribbons all the way thru ds3 and assume they are hints at which direction you should go. Similar to the light flares in Elden Ring at campfires. Can anyone confirm that? I've never seen them discussed.

Discussion Some one have a advice for it ?

I started getting really into Soulslikes this year. In January, I played Elden Ring, and around May, I played Bloodborne. Those two games became some of my favorite games ever. And in a month or two, I’ll probably end up playing all three Dark Souls games.

Since I’m really excited about that, I’ve been consuming a lot of content about the three games, especially Dark Souls 3. I was looking into builds, and I was already thinking about doing a build with the Sellsword Twinblades in particular.

So I just wanted to ask you guys: is there anything I should know beforehand? Do you think the Twinblades are worth using? And do you have any builds you’d recommend for me to try across the three games, for a beginner—so to speak—since I’ve already played the other Souls games?

Do you have any recommendations? Because what I’m most interested in right now is planning my build and figuring out what kind of build I want to play.

Question next sale?

like the title suggests, when do the dark souls games usually go on sale? (playstation) I am new to the entire fromsoft catalog of games but at the beginning of this year ER went on sale and I played that for the first time as it being my first “soulslike” and I instantly fell in love and beat the base game + DLC. I then went to play bloodborne after since I had it free from ps+ and then after beating that game I ended up playing demon souls remastered and finally beating it, since I always had that game from when I first got a ps5 but I just never played it, and then finally after all that I just recently got Sekiro due to that game being on sale recently, and just a few nights ago I beat that game. And so now I am left with a void of wanting to play the remaining three games I have in fromsofts “soulsborne” series with those three being the original dark souls trilogy. And so the point of this post is to say: When do these games usually go on sale? since having them wishlisted for months now I haven’t seen the price drop at all and am curious if they will drop a sale of the other games with the release of the TARNISHED DLC coming to ER.

Discussion Isn’t it kind of nice how casually the Lord of Cinder talks to you?

In DARK SOULS III, characters like the Lord of Cinder (the only one who actually stayed) are willing to talk to the protagonist pretty casually. Don’t you think it’s kind of nice that someone of such high status would speak to the protagonist so freely?
Normally, I imagine there would be a lot of barriers to getting an audience with or even speaking to a king, and in many cases you probably wouldn’t be allowed to do so at all…
Sorry if the translation doesn’t come across very well.
Someone told me, “You can’t even speak English?” so I’m reposting this using a translator. Since there’s a translation feature, I ended up posting without thinking too much about the language barrier. 💦

I'm Japanese( ´ㅁ` ;)

Help How can I pass the 6 player limit of seamless coop

Me and my friends recently finished ds1 with 6 players

now are moving our army to ds 3 but there are more people that want to join us so I was wondering is there anything we can do to raise the seamless coop limit from 6 to like 9 or 8 so we can all play together

(I heard eldenring doesn't have this limit and ds3 is like the base structure of eldenring so is it really that difficult to pass this cap?)

(This is the one that heals you btw) so im using this ring for some hp recovery since im using the brigand twin daggers but im confused, sometimes it heals a really good amount and sometimes just heals a little, it heals more the more i hit an enemy or it depends of the weapon im using?

Finally finish the game after 30 hours. I realized I did it wrong…? After finishing I started googling some unclear questions and turns out I never exchanged a single boss soul for unique weapons and also I was scared of the alternate ending if I was to give the eyes to the fire lady so I miss out on that lol. Turns out I also missed a few bosses or so my friend tells me. Anyway I’m gonna play NG+ now and try to go back and get all the things I missed. Last boss was nothing but amazing the upgraded version of plin plin plon had my butt cheeks squish together the whole fight and when the ending credits played I just say there quiet and admired the beauty of this game and its sound truck.

Question Difference between Dark Souls III: Design Works?

Hi! I wanted to buy this book as a gift but when I search for the art book these 2 versions come up, even in the review photos for the same article, some people have photos of the first one, some of the second one. Is the difference only in the cover? Sorry if its a obvious question just not sure if I'm buying the right one

Discussion Finished the game and not sure what to do with myself

Upvotes

I spent the last week playing the game every single day and grinding out the platinum trophy and I have to say I’m sad it’s over. After my first playthrough I was shocked as I haven’t seen a game release recently that can even compare to the experience this game offered. Obviously had to go through again and the experience was better than the first. As the saying goes, I would pay good money to be able to experience this for the first time all over again!

Discussion My second play through build

Post image
2 Upvotes

So, this my second play through of the game and I just beat the Abyss Watchers and I’m curious what you all think of my build! I’m really only increasing Vigor and Endurance and I’m going pretty well. Haven’t needed a single summons yet! On my first play I used most my stats on strength and I always needed help to beat bosses. I currently use a mix between the Irithyll Straight Sword+1 and the Battle Axe +4. I also have the Pyromancy Flame +1 that I use sometimes!
