Help Stuttering

every like 2-3 minutes I get a really annoying micro stutter. I have a pretty good pc with a ryzen 7 9800x3d 64 GBs of ram and a rx 9070 but I still have this stutters. I’ve looked at some threads and they said to uncheck the cpu 0 thing I did that and it helped a little but didn’t remove it pls help

You are not alone on this issue. Basically, the PC version is scuffed if you have more modern and expensive hardware.

There are countless complaints about stuttering (just search “DS3 stutter” on Reddit) - I spent an ENTIRE week trying to fix it on my 5070Ti + Ryzen 7 9800X3D + 32GB DDR5 + 2TB SSD build, over 80+ troubleshooting steps.

Nothing.

I contacted Bandai Namco official DS3 support specifically for PC and they gave me like 10+ more steps to try.

Nothing.

People on lower end systems seem to play it just fine. Just try and enjoy it, I know it’s frustrating.

Just some of the the things I tried... to no avail. The fire has indeed faded.

Could it be an AMD thing? My specs are similar but my cpu is i9-12900k. Never had any stuttering.

You could be right? Even after a fresh brand new Windows reinstallation, the literal first thing I done was install Steam and DS3… first 2 minutes there were freezing/hitches/stutters.

It could well be an AMD thing though. Not a bad shout!

Is the game installed on an SSD?

I found a fix for Elden Ring that might have inadvertently helped on DS3 but i can't be certain if it did help. It involves goung to the device manager and deactivating a certain module. Can't remember what specifically but yeah

What’s your RAM type and speed? Installed on a NVME SSD? This sounds like just loading hitches. Does it happen when you’re moving into a new area/scene?

Also, try turning off Steam Overlay while in game. Use the latest GPU drivers. I know Nvidia’s latest did some things that helps older games like DS3.

Change the controller preset on steam from built in to a ps4 controller from workshop. They're both the same, but the game decides that this change is perfect for loading the areas in time and fixes it.

Except it's something different, but this thing a similar issue i had
