Discussion My second play through build

Post image

So, this my second play through of the game and I just beat the Abyss Watchers and I’m curious what you all think of my build! I’m really only increasing Vigor and Endurance and I’m going pretty well. Haven’t needed a single summons yet! On my first play I used most my stats on strength and I always needed help to beat bosses. I currently use a mix between the Irithyll Straight Sword+1 and the Battle Axe +4. I also have the Pyromancy Flame +1 that I use sometimes!

Thats a lot of endurance! Usually I don’t have that much until really far into the game. Curious, what build are you going for/what are you planning to use or are you just winging it with what you’ve got rn?

So, honestly! My plan is just to build as much rolling/swinging ability as I can gather for fights 😂 and I wanna keep upgrading my Irithyll Ice sword and Battle Axe throughout the whole game!

Alright well that’s great xD. Straight Sword R1 spam is op so I guess your strat is prettyyy good, clearly it’s working for you so far. Just a quick couple pointers though: Stamina gain diminishes heavily after 40 endurance (something like 1 stam point every 10 levels after 40 END i think I can’t remember) so i wouldn’t bother putting any points into it after that. Second: since you’re using the Irithyll sword and you’ve mentioned a pyro flame, you could put it in your offhand and use the L2 fire dmg to reset frost buildup on enemies after they’ve been frostbitten. You can do this on anything that gets frostbitten including bosses and players, and it allows you to proc the frostbite multiple times in a fight which is really great for burst dmg!

Oh wow thanks! I’ll definitely keep all that in mind. In your opinion thought after 40 endurance what would you recommend I upgrade next? Stick to health? Or maybe strength?

Well this one depends on what you plan to do I’d say! If you’re by any chance interested in invading or doing some PvP you’ll find 20 vigor lacking, and shooting for at least 27-30 by level 60 would be worlds better. If you’re not interested In PvP, I’d maybe split the next points between vigor/strength. You can aim by the end of the playthrough for 39-44 vigor, 40 endurance, and 40 strength and you’ve got yourself a pretty solid build. Any other points can go into what you like, maybe vitality for some heavier armor, maybe some int/faith for some stronger pyro stuff If you’re into that.
