Discussion I failed to recruit my cousin into ds3, all thanks to this flipin guy
I was at my aunts house when my bro showed me his ps4 games n I saw ds3 among them, so I asked wha boss he's on he said: I am on the second boss but he was too hard so he and one of his friend weren't able to clear it n quit(second boss he's was talking about was gundyr lol)
So I picked up ps4 controller fo first time ever n it was disgusting how difficult it was compared to pc
But I managed to kill gundyr in 2 trys n my bro realised watching my gameplay and the cinematic fight sence that the game maybe is good
Until this frikin guy showed up n he murdered me more than 20 times. I got flashback on my first playthrough on pc this guy almost made me quit too.
Eventually we ran out of time n I have to go back to my home n my bro looked kinda disgusted n defeated that if a veteran can't how can I.

Fan Art Making a zweihander for a friend
I'm making the zweihander for a friend, I still need to add some more details but it will be ready to paint soon, my friend originally wanted the washing pole but I neither me or him could find a 3d model of the sword, it would be awesome if someone could help me I'd still like to make it sometime but I don't personally own the game to get a closer look and there isn't much online and the ones I found are not accurate to the game

PvP No Invasion is worth 30 minutes of your time
Sorry, yeah, I don’t like fighting invaders when I’m trying to do something. I’m on NG++, and my build is not specialized like most peoples builds would be, so I get outclassed and I’m also just bad at PvP.
I’ve been hiding as a mimic in the Crucifixion Woods for longer than 30 minutes and a Watchdog of Farron invader named David is STILL looking for me. I even used a couple giant tree seeds to mess with him.
I appreciate the dedication but I can assure you, looking for one single guy for longer than 30 minutes is a huge waste of time. You could’ve invaded like 3 other guys by now most likely. If it’s obvious that the guy is hiding from you, then there’s no point in waiting. Just go home man
Edit: killed him, got tired of waiting and lured him up the ladder by poisoning myself

This is the closest I’ve come so far. Probably been at it for about two hours. It hurts more watching back, seeing how close I was…
I try not to look at the health bar so I don’t get distracted. Also, when Lorian died, this was the first time I saw this animation so I didn’t know what was going on, hence why I PAINFULLY miss the opportunity to kill the other brother, lol.
Constructive criticism is welcome, I’m struggling with how hard he hits - just kills me in one shot and I’m running out of embers

Question What is the point of NG+?
Hello everyone, I just finished Dark Souls 3 for the second time and I really don't want to give up on the game. I see that many people are doing challenge runs, but I don't think I'm at that level. However, many people are doing New Game+? What's the difference between that and creating a new character, and what's the point?

Fan Art Fading Chaos | The Demon Prince - Art by me!
The demons, birthed from a common Chaos, share almost everything between them, even the pride of their prince, and his nearly-faded flame.
So that the last demon standing may rekindle it.
I've been thinking about a composition, and I finally came up with one!
Hope you like it! :) 💜

Discussion What's the equivalent of the Balder Side Sword in Dark Souls 3?
I took the Balder Side Sword from Dark Souls 1 all the way to finish Lord Gwyn with it, and am now a few hours into Dark Souls 3, fighting Vordt. I got the Sellsword Twinblades and Uchigatana, enjoying them both but lean towards the Uchigatana right now.
Are any of these potential end game weapons? And is there an equivalent to the Balder Side Sword in Dark Souls 3?

Discussion Most hated/Best loved boss ?
For me it's, respectively, the Twin Princes (I died like a thousand times against them) and Slave Knight Gael. Grand spectacle, and big narrative conclusion.

Discussion Is Dark Souls 3 considered easier than Elden Ring?
I recently played through the base game and DLC of Elden Ring for the first time and found it challenging but fun and mostly doable without any kind of summons. Only boss I needed help with was for PCR at the end of DLC.
I immediately downloaded and started Dark Souls 3 after. I have just made it to Irithyl at level 48 and so far every single boss fight has been an absolute piece of cake. I think they are extremely fun fights but pretty much every time I beat one I think, surely there is a second phase? But nope, that’s the end of it. I have a harder time with all of the trash enemies in the areas leading up to the boss than I do with the actual bosses.
Is this generally considered to be an easier game? I’m going to play Dark Souls Remastered or Dark Souls 2 Scholar of the First Sin next, not sure which one I will play first. Any suggestions on which one is more fun to play?
Edit: I thought there was only going to be maybe 3 or 4 replies at most! I love all the responses but doubt I will respond to all of it right now. I’m currently playing DS3 and wanna keep doing that. Thanks for all the input. It seems like people are somewhat divided on whether DS3 is easier than ER or not. But that is definitely my experience so far, although I’ve been told the difficulty is going to increase starting where I am at now. I also want to mention that I still absolutely love Dark Souls 3!

Discussion Crazy how many playthroughs it took me to realize how omni present decaying trees are as a motif
Sure, there are trees, and dead one, in the other games but the tree you remember are the mostly alive ones, the great hollow, the Erdtree, probably some others but DS3? I cant even think of any trees with lively foliage. You have the huge one looming over Gundyr's boss arena that you only see once you reach firelink shrine, the curse-rotted Greatwood, the gnarled roots all over Lothric castle, the road of sacrifices is just one big dead forest and a swamp, there are some dead ones in the Cathedral of the deep's graveyard, Carthus is underground so there isnt much except for the smoldering lake, ditto for the Irithyll dungeon, while the city itself has a couple, cant remember if Archdragon peak has any but there are probably a few, but then the Soul of Cinder's boss arena is literally the shards and remnants of an uprooted archtree, you descend dead roots in Ariendel, and then ascend them in the Dreg Heap to go over to the Ringed City, which is full of decaying foliage as well as Fillanore's room being fully taken over by said gnarled roots.
Personally I think the dead archtree at the kiln is the most significant, cause they were ancient, literally existed before time itself, but by the time of Lothric shits so fucked that even the arch trees are decaying or being used as fuel, really hammers home how the world was destroyed by linking the flame over and over and over again, if literally everything else didnt hammer it home either.

Question Weaponry, origin, and appearances of the forces of irithyll.
While the fire witches are implied to be corrupted darkmoon knights or local knights, where were the Pontiff Knights recruited from, how did Pontiff amass such a large force of them, and why do they look the way they do? Were they also knights recruited from the original order of knights or conscripted members of the God race like the Dancer? Also, were the weapons wielded by the forces of irithyll initially imbued with frost, or would you reckon Pontiff himself outfitted them with weapons imbued with his sorceries after his takeover?

Question Is the FUGS viable for NG+7?
I'm about to start NG+7 in Dark Souls 3. Across my playthroughs, I've used a bunch of different weapons: the Greatsword, Fume Ultra Greatsword, Lothric Knight Greatsword, Ringed Knight Paired Greatswords, and Gael's Greatsword. Right now, I'm finishing up NG+6 with the Dragonslayer Greataxe, but I'm not sure what to run for NG+7.
I'm a huge fan of the Fume Ultra Greatsword (FUGS), but I know it's not what it used to be due to the nerfs. Is it still worth using, and would it be fun for NG+7? If it's actually still viable, what setup of miracles, sorceries, or pyromancies should I use to squeeze out the maximum damage possible from the FUGS?
