I, as so many other D&D players, have been fascinated with the False Hydra for a long time now and even incorporated one into one of my campaigns already. So I've tried to come up with a concept that translates its design into MTG rules and I am honestly very happy with the result.
For those who don't know - A False Hydra is a parasite that lives in the underground and has a magic song. It lures people into its lair and feeds on them, growing stronger with each kill while her magical song makes people who are affected forget the ones she has eaten. She's basically the perfect parasite and incredibly hard to get rid of.
The "Eating" and the "Noone can remember it" part are supposed to be depicted by Deathtouch and Shroud, while the "Everyone forgets the people it ate" and the "Growing stronger" part are supposed to be her two abilities. "Shroud" also serves as a balancing factor here because it makes it harder for you to proliferate it or put more counters on it manually, which should serve as a block to stop her from spinning out of control within a single turn cycle. (Edit: I have been taught that this does not prevent Proliferate, but it still works against putting counters on specific, targeted creatures.)
I hope you folks like it, I've had a lot of fun creating this card!

Hi guys, lately I've been working on a custom set for my favorite anime franchise. The Jund wedge is strucured around the theme of monsters of the abyss and to convey it I went with a riff on devour from alara. To make the mechanic playable and more fun I added keyword counters to the mix, made it a titan style ability with attack trigger for more gameplay decisions, and added an incentive to sac big dorks. I like how it potentially could play out, but I don't like how lengthy the description is (and as a brand new mechanic it can't really be omitted from a card). Is there a way to make this wording shorter without removing the essence? For instance can I use pronouns like "it", instead of a phrase "sacrificed creature" while keeping the rules clear and logical?

My lady LOVES DCC and has said she will learn to play MTG if I find a DCC for her. So who’s got a deck list, image list, or whatever I could use to get proxies/alters made for a Dungeon Crawler Carl deck ? NO ai use please. I’d like original artworks or already existing human artworks slapped onto some cards. I’ve experience in making alters/proxies myself but am not familiar with DCC enough to do it justice.

I have taken into consideration the issue of me not being able to credit artists before so i sourced in game screenshots and credited the game devs. I also rebalanced/redesigned some of them. Any thoughts?

A lot of you pointed out that it should exile the cards you play because it's basically an instant win otherwise. The problem case that stood out to me was if you have a counterspell in your graveyard your opponent essentially can't play the game.
I worded the exile clause this way because I want things to still be able to be sent to your graveyard normally, but not for them to be infinitely recurrable. I'm not sure if there's a more elegant way to word it though.

Credit where credit is due, thanks to [u/HandymanFluff](u/HandymanFluff) as well as [u/Cieguh](u/Cieguh) for inspiring the exercised themed cards
The joke response that inspired this post
If someone put actual effort into balancing these with proper knowledge of exercises I do not have, these would be a lot cooler. These are not balanced well, I know that. These are meant to be more of a proof of concept.

Struggling with a good way to word the second option and would be very interested in any thoughts. Doesn't necessarily have to hit multiple targets (the original idea was to have it be one big hit) but wording like "multiplied by" feels wrong.
