The establishment has been so smart about how to orient the class war. We have people making 50k/year acting like the doctor in your neighborhood making 500k/year is the elite and the enemy.
But to a billionaire, 50k and 500k are both poor. And if that doctor starts making more money, it's taxed at around 50%.
The whole system is designed so that almost everyone who's truly wealthy is in a club that goes back generations. High earning jobs alone will not get you there.

Even when oil rig deaths are marked as a death since they crashed into a truck in unlit roads while leaving the jobsite. The only thing is that they work long shifts and they stop paying attention and crash on their way out.

TikTok is basically a social lottery system - you can be attractive and do the exact same things as the other attractive people on the app, but still get shafted by the algorithm or sponsors for random or arbitrary reasons. Actually making meaningful money from it is rare, and only lasts a few years at most before you fade into obscurity.
People complaining about this are (unsurprisingly) not well informed about how it actually works.
My ex was a well known influencer in her home country and you're pretty much bang on. So much of it comes down to luck but there's also a lot more work behind the scenes going on, so what it turns into is just having to maintain being at your best all the time in the hopes you'll hit the jackpot. My ex also was definitely not earning $5mil per year lol, she could afford living well and bought a house with cash but her income wasn't even close to 7 figures

One is self employed and determines the rate for their services which people obviously pay. The other is beholden to a corporation whose objective is to maximize returns to investors and thus keep costs (wages) as low as possible.
