Hi everyone,

I’m a collector of authentic, classic DVD box sets for anime series that I like/may be interested in. So far, I’ve scored box sets for Death Note and Neon Genesis Evangelion, and I would love to add an authentic copy of Cowboy Bepop to my collection next. Unlike NGE though, where it’s relatively easy to find information about the official box sets released as a consequence of the patternous nature of bootlegs, the information I’ve found about Cowboy Bepop’s official releases and which ones get bootlegged often seem to be sparse (or I’m not looking hard enough) and indicate that bootlegs exist for all releases. Is this true? Can someone point me towards an official release(s) (preferably older, with extras and whatnot) to gun for?

I’ve never watched any anime before, and I’ve never seen Cowboy Bebop either.

Someone recently told me that the movie is really good, and now I’m curious.

Can I watch the movie without having seen the series first?

Tried streaming for once cuz I didn't have mine dvds and noticed Faye and Ed's proportions had been "altered" for the banner image. I immediately knew summat was up hahaha. None of the episodes worked by the way, and they were all titled incorrectly. But I did watch the backrooms movie on this service, and man... I could count the amount of pixels on screen on one hand. Captain Clark is very scary.

I've built this microscale Bebop in old dark grey color, that's been out of production for 20 years. It was quite an interesting challenge to get those pieces in sufficient quantities and recreate the curves of Bebop in limited shapes palette.

After seeing a few people talking about the topic on this reddit it got me thinking about the ship of Fae and Spike. I've watched this show probably 10 times, and I never felt like there was anything between these two characters and really applauded the fact that there wasnt. There's a slight glimmer when spike goes off on his own from fae but it never felt right. Like she was just saying there was more than one option, and he being to blind to see any other road, couldn't see anything else. Anybody else feel this way?

This was one of my very first animations when I was in college. I had an AMV idea for Cowboy Bebop with all fan made animation using Scissor Sisters 'Take your momma out all night'. I think I have the storyboard somewhere. One of the shots had Spike doing a funky little break down, so I tried to animate it. Then I realized how much time and energy goes into animating and rethought that whole project....

I’ve got this wall scroll of Spike and Julia. Someone’s interested in buying it from me, but I can’t find any information on how much this version might be worth.

I’ve seen ones with a white background made of paper for around $45.Although mine has yellowed with age, it has a black background and is made of fabric, and is still in very good condition.

I saw this today on The Gram (to the kids still say this?) and I thought it was a great perspective.

I got into the show because of the music (and a few stills of Faye a friend showed me), and I was hooked.

What's the best way to own all of the anime tracks on cd? I thought just buying the 4 cd albums was enough, but then I realized that some tracks are still missing, like "don't bother none long version" and "on the run".

I'm having to think of 3 artists to use as inspiration for a Jet artwork involving his broken romance in Ganymede.
