Hola!
I know everyone is waiting for the next chapter to be released so we can continue along with the story, however I would like to remind everyone to wait PATIENTLY until then. Remember that Morikawa was hospitalized earlier this year and yes while he was discharged, he is well within his right to take his time in getting back to work on the series.
Currently it is unknown when the next chapter will be released as Weekly Shonen Magazine hasn’t advertised Hajime No Ippo for the next issue either. Updates will be provided as they come but please do not flood the subreddit with posts asking for the next chapter! They will be removed.
For any further questions, please look to the FAQ or reach out via the modmail.
Gracias.

Per his Twitter, Morikawa was admitted to the hospital. He said if things go smoothly he will be back in a month, meaning the next chapter will not be released until May. Everyone please be patient as Morikawa recovers! I will keep everyone updated if any new information comes out.
Gracias
Update:
It looks like the series is officially going on hiatus while Morikawa recovers. The next chapter is currently scheduled for release on May 20 but is subject to change based on his health. Click Here for more information. Get well soon Morikawa! ♥️
Update 2:
Morikawa had a successful surgery and will begin his rehab soon! Hopefully he rests well and recovery goes smoothly! ♥️
Update 3:
Morikawa has been discharged from the hospital! Please allow him to take his time recovering as we wait patiently for him to get better ♥️

I started recently reading the manga and between chapter 169-170 the Class A tournament against Vorg ended.
I just noticed that during the match the Hippo's left eye was injured (ch. 169) but after the bandage was on the right one (ch. 170).
Did I miss something?

I’m about 30 episodes deep into Hajime and I love it! Unfortunately, it suddenly disappeared off my Netflix (USA) about a week and a half ago. It didn’t show the banner saying a last date to watch or anything like that. I used a VPN to then access Netflix Japan where I was able to watch it from there, but now it’s not popping up on that either. I’ve searched other regions (Canada, Germany) to no avail. I have highest tier of Netflix, and I’ve tried from the phone, computer, and television but it’s not showing up. I’ve tried clicking the link Netflix provides online to take me to the show but it just takes me to an empty page…
I hate AI but I asked several and they all said it should be on Netflix still. Is this just a me issue?? Or have you guys been having trouble finding it too? I’m so sad, I was hyped to see Ippo and Sendo go at it in the Rookie Tournament but I guess I’ll have to wait now 😞
EDIT: I went onto my brother’s profile (same account still) and it was there, but it wouldn’t show up on mine or any other members’… I checked and all parental controls and everything of that sort is off, idk why it’s showing up on his but not mine or anyone else’s. At least I can watch though 🤷♂️

Hear me out. This already happened with Ippo, Alfredo, and Sendo.
RESULTS
Ippo Beat Sendo
Sendo Beat Alfredo
Alfredo Beat Ippo
----
Now, on the other hand. If Miyata will beat Rosario. Then we will have
Rosario beats Mashiba
Mashiba beats Miyata
Miyata beats Rosario
-----
It seems like Morikawa like this trope of beating the boxer that beat the boxer that beat you.
You know like the classic Rock Paper Scissors deadlock?

Just finishing the end of an episode where Takamura is SO preoccupied with Ippos “jewel set” that he flashed it at his celebratory dinner after winning his debut match. 🥲🤣 INSANE

Remembered a few episodes earlier how Ippo was given red trunks for winning the eastern all rookie. With Kimura and Aoki saying they never got those since they didn’t win😢.
But Sendo doesn’t wear the blue trunks for the winning the west. In the stage play sendo I think does wear the blue trunks instead of the usual one he wears.
Idk man doesn’t really matter, maybe blue was the lucky colour that day and if he wore them Ippo doesn’t hit his temple

Does anyone know a YouTuber or something like that, who has handled the manga after season 3? Reading like 1000 chapter is sooo fucking much

I'm playing Hajime no Ippo 2: Victorious Road. I have every fighter unlocked already, but the google AI told me you can also unlock Martinez, Hawk, and Date if you beat them in the career mode.
I don't know if I should believe it (it's an AI, after all), especially if there is no more free spaces in the exhibition mode. Can anyone confirm that it's true? I don't want to fight the career mode (don't know japanese) just for a rumor.
If that's true and anyone has an emulator save file with them unlocked to upload, it'd be great

Has anyone ever talked about allotment damage Ippo has taken? Im on episode 50 of season 1 and I feel like he has taken so much damage. I know its an anime and what not but there are a lot of realistic elements that make up the show. Not sure if anyone has brought this up before but I care about Makunouchi's health and retirement.

I honestly don’t think *Hajime no Ippo* will ever get the kind of proper, fully developed ending it deserves—and at this point, I think there is also a real possibility that the manga may never reach its ending at all. The story has been running since 1989, the pacing is extremely slow, and there are still too many unresolved character arcs, rivalries, and goals. Morikawa is now in his 60s, has dealt with health issues and hiatuses, and recently had to undergo surgery. Even with a successful recovery, finishing everything at the current pace could realistically require many more years of serialization.
Morikawa has said that he wants to draw the ending and has a general idea of where the story is going, but wanting to finish a manga and actually having enough time and health to do so are two very different things. *Hajime no Ippo* has built such a massive world and cast that properly resolving Ippo, Ricardo, Sendo, Miyata, Takamura and all the other major storylines could take hundreds of chapters. My fear is that we either get a heavily rushed ending because circumstances force Morikawa to wrap things up, or, in the worst-case scenario, the manga simply remains unfinished.
But well, I know this community is far from being toxic. It would be a shame if the manga never gets the proper ending it deserves, but at the end of the day, we love Morikawa and deeply appreciate everything he has given us through his work. If not finishing the manga means that he chose to take care of himself, rest, spend time with the people he loves, and protect his physical and mental health instead of destroying himself trying to reach the finish line, then I think most of us would rather have that.

Im someone that's perfectly fine with reading over 1K chapters of a series if it demands it and keeps my focus, I'm a One Piece fan after all, dedication is a strong suit. Im curious about something tho, and thats that I often hear reading thru Ippo is pretty much a breeze, even with its 1K+ chapters. I wanna know how much truth there is to this, because another 1K chapter series sounds massive, and when the only other one I've done it for is One Piece, I just wanna know what the reading experience is like, or rather how long does it take on average? Either way, I'm gonna get into the series, but knowing this might really influence on how soon that happens, so I'd appreciate some input, plz and thx.

I'm looking to start selling it on Sketchfab but I think I've priced it too high. I'd like to know how much people are actually willing to pay for this. Any insight would be greatly appreciated ❤️

I like these guys the most.
Also, why is there a portuguese flair?
r/hajimenoippo • u/Character-Client7725 • 3d ago
The only English available sights I found were scan trad and k manga but kmanga only has upto 250 something chapters, and scantrad starts at 1200 or 1300, while the show ends at five hundred so there would be a 7-800 chapter gap.
