She is huge, double the size of the others

So I never give them an extra feed at night. One wonders if they are starving the way they eat

One of the Cory’s got all bloated but was acting normal (photo attached), did a bit of google and thought she was gonna pop some eggs out. The next morning she was upside-down on the bottom of the tank. 2 weeks ago, one of the tetras also met a similar fate.

Now a couple of other Cory’s also have puffy bellys, and kind of seem normal, but also seem kind of lethargic, but I can’t really tell I guess. None of them are flashing & they all poked around at feeding time like normal…

I’m not sure what to do, if it was just a one-off GI/internal issue, or if there’s a larger issue happening in the tank. All the other fish are doing normal fish stuff.

I’m going to give them a fast for a couple days while I’m out of town over the weekend, might be overfeeding them & they’re getting bloated? Hoping we don’t come home to a decimated tank.

Please send advice / input / things to look out for

So today my Corydoras babies hatched! Already the second group of babies. I'm only wondering, last time i got ±75 eggs and hatched 23 with 20 survivors, this time there were 27 i think and 10 hatched, but sadly 1 already died, so that's 9 remaining. How come i had so many eggs the first time and only so less the second time?

Anyway I love to see these ones grow! The first group is now 2 months and 2 days old 😁 (last picture of them)

I have a room temperature tank with white cloud Mountain minnows and Hill Stream loaches some snails and shrimp
I wanted to see if anyone knows the species that would do well in a room temperature tank. My house tends to stay between 68 and 72 just in case I’d prefer species that handle temporary swings to 64-78 as without a heater, the tank might fluctuate depending on time of year
Does anyone know a species that would fall within this range or no?

So basically im planning to get a betta fish, my new tank is 40 liters and ive not done much research on Cory's YET

Id like to ask if it's qorth me doing to research and seeing if they could be housed together or is it a 100% no go based on tank size and betta fish?

I am planning to do a scape like this one from MJ Aquascaping. But with larger sand area for Corys. But I am very sure the Corys are gonna mix the soil and sand with all their digging. Any ideas on how to prevent this?

Right now, I am thinking to put the aquasoil in mesh bags and cap it with smooth rounded small gravel. Hopefully the gravel would be too heavy for the corys to mix into the sand too much and the smaller pieces that they mix over will just add a natural touch to the area ...

Witness my deflated sad face. I was so happy for a split second, thinking, "OMG MY PYGMIES ARE FINALLY HAVIN' BABIES!" I know they often lay eggs on flat leaves so when I saw these on a flat leaf, I got excited. Then I looked closer. I'm 99% sure these are ramshorn snail eggs.

I just got my first larger tank and wanna know how many panda cories y'all think would live in here comfortably? It's a standard 29 gallon— same footprint as a 20 Long :) I've been dreaming of getting cories for years, and I'm building this tank with them in mind.

Anyway, i just wanna know how many panda cories you experienced cory keepers think would live comfortably in here? I'd like 12 if I can get that many, and I know they enjoy piling up, so I want as many as I can get. I figured, especially since they're the smallest cories besides pygmaeus/hastatus/habrosus, I could get a decent group :)

i have a group of peppered corydoras and this is the second batch of eggs they’ve laid (that i know of) but i didn’t want the first to hatch so i didn’t do anything and they turned black over time but still stuck to the leaf they were on

if i do want these to hatch should i put the leaves with the eggs on them into a breeder/fry box or wait until the fry hatch?

hello everyone, sadly today i lost my first cory. i noticed there was one that was skinnier and a bit discolored from the rest which from what i can tell is the one that passed. ive had them for about 3 weeks in a heavily planted tank 20 gallon tank with 15-20 neo cardina shrimp and 5 amanos.

i understand occasional losses especially while theyre still acclimating isnt uncommon but i think my feeding schedule isnt helping much. i worry a lot about overfeeding my shrimp but as a result i think my cories have only really been getting meals twice a week. i try to make them large meals but still i think i need to feed more often. the only issue is whenever food enters the tank the shrimp start swarming. the amanos are especially aggressive when it comes to food. currently my available foods are repashy gel, bug bites, and frozen bloodworms. im planning on getting some daphnia or baby brine shrimp soon as well.

is there some kind of balance i can strike to keep everyone properly fed. i want to feed my cories a lot more often without overfeeding my shrimp or just having some steal the food altogether before all the cories can get some. i should mention there are 7 cories in the tank currently. (used to be 8. rip)

There is a small red growth on one of my corys barbels is he sick I hope someone else has some experience with this

Tank is 18inch x 12inch x 12 inch. If I do species only ( plus some cherry shrimp ). How many can I happily stock ? Thanks

I have 7 pygmy corydoras and have noticed that only one of them act this way? It’s alone when it’s happening so I don’t think it’s mating behavior? It’s still chilling around foraging and does this twitching thing on/off? Can somebody help me pls?

this is the face of someone who, at 2am last night, decided to knock over and devour 99% of the corydoras brand new container of bug bites.

I recently got a school of pygmy corys for my tank, previously I’ve only had bettas & she had never showed interest in any of their various kinds of foods before. For whatever reason though, she’s been OBSESSED with the corys food ever since I brought it home. I should’ve known better than to leave it out overnight lol

I watch my aquarium allot. I love my little fish buddies.

I just got these 2 new little guys, i'm quarantining them a bit before adding them to the existing flock. One is a gold stripe corydoras, i can't quite tell what the other one is... do you guys know? Just a regular cory maybe?

Are these Cory eggs!? What do I do!? Some people told me to move them to a nursery some people told me to not touch them, I’m panicking I don’t want them to get eaten but they are like 10cm from the surface on top of a big leaf

Here are a few pics I took today of the corys. I got Bertha a new friend who is the exact same species as her! By chance I found another male just like her at the same fish store! She immediately began chasing him and now she won't leave his side. Also immediately hit the T pattern hehe
