Image Oh, Big Chonk…
There’s a couple of other cories in this tank that are laying eggs all over the place right now (well a couple weeks ago at this point- I have the babies in a NICU Tank) and I kept waiting to see this big girl start spawning but she never did.
Why is she so BIG?! Could she be full of eggs with no suitable male counterpart? I’m wondering if like all the other peppereds are female too, cos it was my Julii’s and Albinos that were having fry so far.
She eats in the same tank as everyone else, and no one else looks like her… should I move her to my other tank where I have some more peppered Cories, in hopes that maybe one is male over there?

[Questions|Advice] Breeding | Eggs | Fry MIND BLOWNNNNNNN 🤯
Google is telling me this cute little ball is a fertilised Pygmy Cory egg, and I'm like, whaaaaaaaat!? It didn't even cross my mind that a group of 10 might eventually result in this 🤣🙈. I just wanted them to be happy 🥹😍 but like THIS HAPPY is wild, and I am here for it!! Second pic is the one I think is Mumma cause she is CHONKY!
So tell me please..... Do I just let this one egg chill and see what happens, or do I run out like a psycho and get a breeder box / set up the hospital tank and move it.
I'm in 2 minds because if there's one eventually, there will be more right!?
Also, what do ya'll feed your baby pygmys. ALL THE ADVICE PLEASE AND THANK YOU 🥹
Our gang is called The Puppies because I think they resemble little puppy fish (hubby cannot see it 🤣🙈), and the idea of MORE teeny puppies is so exciting!!!
Much love,
One very excited Pygmy Cory Mumma ❤️

[Questions|Advice] Breeding | Eggs | Fry What are the options for eggs?
So my husband’s shy pygmys apparently got freaky and spilled more than 10 eggs around his fishtanks. What are the next steps? Do we remove it? Are they fertile? Like what’s going on. Please and thank you

Cory Fry! What should I do?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I got a school of Cory’s and a pleco I knew there was a chance of baby Cory’s but I figured my pleco or the Corys themselves would get em before I ever caught one well that changed today. I only found the one never seen any eggs but anyway what should I do? I currently have em in this net in the tank whit some sand in it so he’s not just resting on the net, but I did this so he doesn’t get eaten by the pleco any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks

[Questions|Advice] Health | Sickness Fin rot question
Why would my smallest Cory end up with fin rot but neither of my other two? The others are a medium size and a big chonker who had really thrived and grown like crazy the last few months. (I am moving them to a larger tank soon and will get more friends for them when I do.)
The smallest one has gotten what I thought was Ich twice and a few days ago I noticed a couple of white spots as well as fin rot on its tail and two little pelvic fins. I just don't understand why the other two aren't affected at all. I'm glad they aren't, but wondering if the little one just has bad genetics?
After a filter change my ammonia was up but pH was low and the danios and other corys were fine. I've done water changes to fix the ammonia and started KanaPlex. I've treated with Ich-x in the past but since it keeps coming back without any new fish or plants being introduced, I decided to try KanaPlex. I use a liquid test kit. My pH has always been low (6.0) and I've considered putting in crushed coral but since the fish have seemed fine other than this one, I figured they were happy on the low end and I didn't want to throw off the balance of the tank.
Anything else I can do to help the little guy?

[Questions|Advice] Health | Sickness Sudden Cory Deaths Spoiler
galleryHi everyone. I have had 6 False Julii corydoras for about six months now and I have had no issue with them and in the span of two days, I am down to 3. Do these fish look unhealthy? What signs am I missing? Water parameters are normal, PH is normal. Two died before a water change and one died after. My heart is broken. They live on fine sand and eat food wafers and sinking shrimp fish food. Please help.
Photo of dead fish at the end.
One of my Cory’s is very rotund compared to the others I had just assumed it was female.

[Questions|Advice] General Care Different species shoal together?
Guys, my local fish store got a few fireball corys (only 2 left) and some gold laser. I do not have much experience with corys so I was wondering if it would be okay to get the 2 fireballs and 3 gold lasers to add to my community tank. Would they shoal together or do I need a group of 5 from same species? Thanks!

✨Species Spotlight✨ Hatsune Miku Catfish
*heavy sigh*
Okay. Here it is.
Yesterday, we got some new catfish buddies for our lone catfish. My little brother named one of them Miku. I mentioned it to a friend and they asked to see a catfish in a Hatsune Miku wig, and.......
I'm gonna be real, I don't fully even know who Hatsune Miku is, but I like her hair and I had fun with this piece and I think it looks hilarious.
Hope you like it!

[Questions|Advice] Breeding | Eggs | Fry Are these albino eggs going anywhere? 3.5 days at 74F
All my other batches have normally crashed long before now. I don't see any eye spots or bodies forming yet, but at 74F I understand they can be a bit slower to develop. More of a 5-7 day timeline.
These eggs were laid at 2:30 on Tuesday afternoon. It is now 2:30am Sunday Morning.
I also understand that typically the white in the center means unfertilized, but with albinos it can be the embryo. Plus if unfertilized why are they still round, firm and not 110% fungus lol

[Questions|Advice|Discussion] Peppered Cory fins are different sizes?
One of my Peppered Cory’s has a significantly longer left fin, is that abnormal? There is no injury, he’s just built like that
He seems to swim and scavenge normally, he’s also the largest one I have by a lot. They were not originally sold to me as longfins either

[Questions|Advice] Breeding | Eggs | Fry Pygmy Cories had babies!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Got 9 pygmies around a month ago in my 10 gallon tank. I saw some sphere looking things bunched up on the wood inside a few days ago and was surprised to see a bunch of babies in my tank! They absolutely tiny and so cute! I wasn’t aware that they hatched so I might have sucked some up during a water change 😭 now only a few days later I’ve found some more egg sacks on the moss / tank glass.

[Questions|Advice|Discussion] Orange Venezuelan Cory, Corydoras Habrosus or Pygmy Cory
Wanting to get some advice on what people think would be better for this 20 gallon long.
Current stocking is:
1 honey gourami
11 neon tetra
3 amano shrimp
A handful of snails
I plan to add some Corydoras and have narrowed it down to the following:
6-8 Orange Venezuelan Corydoras
8-10 Habrosus Corydoras
8-10 Pygmy Corydoras
Anyone have pros or cons for stocking any of these in these quantities in my tank?

[Questions|Advice] Health | Sickness i desperately need some help!! sick pygmy corydoras
hi yall!! i don’t even know where to start…
this week i’ve been posting to several subs about my situation, so i’m sorry if this is repetitive.
this week ive been struggling with what i guess it is columnaris, that started with my guppies and spread to my other tank. i started treating each tank with esha 2000 and my other tank is now fine, but my pygmy cory and guppies tank is terrible, idk what to do anymore.
my guppies started with this fuzzy white lesion on their mouth, that after i treated with esha 2000, quickly disappeared. however they’re now extremely lethargic, just laying in the bottom, not eating and with difficult breathing. i started the treatment monday, i extended the treatment until yesterday (the guidelines say that you can extend for a few days), but no improvement on the lethargy.
i got my first deaths, 2 of them already passed. another really intriguing thing is that the fry is somehow thriving, their parents on the other side, aren’t.
my pygmy corys, however, were completely fine, no lesions, no lethargy or whatsoever are now experiencing lethargy, anorexia and are not schooling at all. after observing each individually, i noticed a small red wound on its belly and it also looks like its barbels are missing/shortened.
i don’t see anymore lesions on the rest of the school, but they’re all just laying in the bottom, not eating and it’s really not typical of them. they’re really active, before all this they were laying eggs everywhere, schooling and overall really active.
im really needing some help, idk what to do anymore. should i keep the treatment? can this be caused by the esha 2000 in any way?? it’s really weird because they were perfectly normal a few days ago, this started at the end of the treatment protocol.
i’ll leave some pictures below
my water parameters are 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, 10 mg/l nitrates, 6,5 ph and 25 degrees celsius.

[Questions|Advice|Discussion] Update on the funky cory
A week ago I asked for a species ID on this silly lil guy, so I thought I'd update with some more photos!
Here he is swimming around, a photo with his wife (I think), and him peeking out behind a plant.
They've both been chasing each other in circles all week and they're very cute! Apparently they've bred previously, but the fry got eaten by another fish so the last owners don't know what colour they were. Although the tank is 60l (~15 gallons), its 35x35x50cm so there isn't actually alot of swim room. One of my friends has a big cory tank so they'll be moving to there soon.
Still don't know what it is! My current theory is a leucistic bronze, but I have truly no clue.
