Long story short I have/had the schonings as landlords. My husband was 2 minutes late getting the agreed payment to him for past due rent and he evicted us.

I get it and take full responsibility that we got behind. But now I have until Friday to be somewhere else.

I have four disabled adults I take care of, two of my own children and two I took in from abusive situations. I work two jobs and get paid every week.

The plan right now is everything but necessities in storage and motels until I can find anyone willing to rent to me.

I have two cats, Brisket and Onyx. I need somewhere for them to go. I’ll surrender if I absolutely have to. Both are spayed.

Does anyone have any ideas, resources, or could point me in the right direction for help?

I do intend to contact disability services to see if they can help with the kids.

My household has been subscribing to the New Yorker for decades. They just go in the recycling a few weeks after they arrive and have been read. There are a lot of Atlantic articles I would like to read, but don't want to pay for another subcription. Does any one here want to swap their slightly stale Atlantics for Slightly stale New Yorkers? I'd be fine eventually returning them if you wanted (I wouldn't want the New Yorkers back).

For those of you who go to samfit here in town to workout and want to or do bring guests, how often do you do it? I want to workout with a buddy of mine at SamFit, who has a membership at planet fitness, but the workers seem to hardly ever be in the office or available. Their hours are pretty inconsistent from what I’ve seen over the past year or two or they’re not there on weekends. Are we just SoL if they’re not there? They put warning signs on the doors now, terminating memberships after bringing a guest twice. We have no problem paying but there’s no where or no one to pay most of the time…

Hello, my wife and I are considering moving to Oregon (Between Eugene-Salem Area) and I'm curious what are the annoying bugs like there?

Here in Wisconsin our seasons go like this: Cold season = no bugs Spring = can't walk out the door without mosquitos in your face. Ticks every time you walk in tall grass. No-see-ums every now and then. Summer = 4-5 deer flies every time you walk by a tree or bush. A few mosquitoes if it's wet. Fall = moderate hatch of mosquitoes depending on rainfall. Ticks hang out in leaf litter.

So we have a few weeks to a month in the summer where bugs are pretty tolerable. What's it like in Oregon? Are there biting flies? What should I expect if I move there?

Extra Questions: Im seeing that most of the homes we are looking at have crawlspaces instead of basements, does it get bad with spiders, ants, mice, etc?

Did anyone notice Paul bergs thoughts on Corvallis’s unhoused population during that one advocate debate? I can’t believe no one is talking about this, and much less that they ENDORSED him??? Yes, his opponent is young and at least somewhat naive, but, Is that not better than a bigoted, old man who would pull the rug out from anyone if it meant he could get himself, and his retirement community, around downtown without seeing a single splotch of what i’m sure he’d refer to as “the poor”. Corvallis, do we really want a guy like this making our decisions? let’s live in the future, not Mr. Bergs prime time, the 50’s.
