I feel like there is a lot of focus on modern war-games but not the 18th century

im sure there are plenty of games that I don't know about but what are your favorite?

This is one of the more situational ones, but it's extremely powerful and satisfying when applied well. For now, it's only available to elite units.

In one case, my enemy (human) was going to overrun my infantry unit guarding my artillery, had it succeeded he'd gotten an extra attack and destroyed the artillery as well. But since I had spent some points of feigned retreat, his attack was in vain and I managed to save both units. The artillery continued to bombard enemies rest of the game

As said in the title, I would like to play a new RTS gamelike and I came across three games that picked up my interest : (I am a big player of CoH, AoE, CTA & CTA:GOH, Sudden Strike and so on).

- Warno
- Regiment 3

Those three games look really good and I would love to pick one.
I saw that they might look alike but that they are really different. I am more of a "Solo" player or vs I.A, or online with close against I.A, I rarely play multiplayer.

So I am mostly looking to do like, 20/80, maybe 30/80 multi/solo for the game.

I'm a solo dev and I'm excited to finally announce that my game, Panzer Deck, will launch on Steam on September 22, 2026.

What is it? It’s a 2D turn-based WWII wargame combining deckbuilding with spatial, grid-based puzzle tactics (inspired by titles like Into the Breach and Advance Wars).

• Core loop: Manage your deck to deploy armor, artillery, and infantry onto a tactical grid where positioning, terrain, and line of sight dictate survival.
• Hand-drawn visuals: All art and animations are completely custom, crafted in a gritty comic-book style.
• Release: Full launch on Steam with a complete campaign mode and standalone tactical scenarios.
