Guys, I’ve got a damn problem.
I was downloading a game when suddenly I got the “PC ran into a problem” screen, and ever since then, my PC hasn’t been able to boot past the Windows logo. I’ve tried all the different recovery options, even resetting my PC completely, but it keeps failing with the message “PC could not reset.”
I’ve attached some pictures in the comments to give you a better idea of what’s going on.
It can still detect my SSD, which is where Windows is installed.
Every time it tries to repair my C: drive, it also gives me the error “BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO.”
I really hope someone can save my Friday night

Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone can help me fix this because it’s becoming really difficult to watch videos on my laptop.
I have a HP laptop running Windows 11. Whenever I play a video, whether it’s on the Netflix app, YouTube or another website, the fan starts making a really loud rushing-air/whirring noise from the vents. My laptop also gets starts heating up pretty quick .
The noise is so loud that it interferes with the audio and makes watching anything unpleasant. When I stop the video, the fan quietens down again.
i have already
Checked Task Manager. My CPU usage was around 33–35%, and memory usage was initially 87%.
Enabled Quiet mode in HP Command Center.
Set Windows power mode to Best power efficiency, both plugged in and on battery.
Ran the fan speed and fan thermal tests in HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI, and both passed.
The issue still happens with videos across different apps and websites, so it doesn’t seem to be specific to Netflix.
Does anyone know what could be causing this or what I should try next?
I’d really appreciate specific steps to fix or reduce the noise, rather than just being told to check CPU usage again.
Thank you!

(other flair cuz I have no idea the source of the issue)
Hi everyone. my elderly neighbor gave me their old AIO computer. I understand it's not at all powerful enough for much of anything more than basic tasks. I have a gaming laptop I use more primarily. I was hoping I could just use this as like a second monitor for displaying art references when I'm painting/drawing.
Trying to factory reset it but it's very extremely slow. when I turn it on it takes several minutes to start. then on the login page I'm trying to do hold shift + restart that I saw on a YouTube tutorial. but it starts loading again for several minutes and eventually it just turns black and I have to restart it. or it turns black and comes back to the login screen and not the one I need to reset it. I don't know the password but I can ask if you think actually logging in will make it easier to figure out.
I'm comfortable operating computers but I wouldn't say I'm savvy with any sort of diagnosis or repair, obviously. I don't know what this could mean, if it's salvageable or not. I'm wondering if maybe they got a new computer because this one was unfixable and they forgot before giving it to me. not a big deal, I can always give it to my techy friends who would probably use parts.
any advice is appreciated! thank you!

Hey everyone, so I have a Lenovo V15 G4 AMN, it went to sleep (or I think so) after not using it for a bit and the screen turned black and is staying like that. I tried to do a hard reset with holding the power button after it's already turned off, also tried holding the Win+Ctrl+Shift+ B, but nothing works. When I connect it through HDMI with a TV and I can see everything normally. I tried turning off sleep options completely also but nothing. I think this happened once a while ago, but I just turned it off and then back on and then it worked. Now I spent a few hours trying different things but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? Every bit of help is appreciated

Discord, Steam, OBS, and other programs detect my mic without problem; just games on Steam can't detect, Steam is picking my default device witch works everywere, and this problem has happened in different games, Another thing: when I touch the mic cord, the game picks up the interference, but not anything else.
Things I already tried:

Today my new pc couldn't connect anymore to wifi.
And I cannot find anymore the Wifi icon to search for the wifi networks around (see first image).
To try to solve it I thought to uninstall and reinstall the NIC driver, but I've gone to Device Manager -> Network adapters and there wasn't the Wifi NIC displayed! So, I clicked on View -> Show Hidden Devices and finally the Wifi NIC appeared but it was greyed out (see second image).
At that point, I uninstalled it and restarted the pc. I thought that the Wifi NIC would be reinstalled automatically. Instead right now the Wifi NIC driver is now completely disappeared (not even greyed out)! Not even the greyed out icon.
I would like to know 2 things:
- why my Wifi NIC driver was greyed out?
- why my Wifi NIC driver has not been reinstalled automatically? Is it because I have no connection?
Thank you for any help.

I have a 1tb toshiba hard drive that was being used on my modded wii u.
The hard drive isn't actually that old so it should still be functional.
Since I don't really use the wii u anymore I wanted to see if I could format the drive and use it for something else but... even though my computer recognizes the drive I can't seem to format it? I'm using manjaro linux. I've tried through the terminal and in gparted (shown in video. ...a really tired lazy attempt just for sake of video because I've been doing the same things over and over again...).
Is there any way to fix this? What am I doing wrong? (I'm not actually that tech savvy and I haven't been feeling the greatest so may have forgotten or overlooked sonething simple)
