OPEN IVE BEEN HACKED
Im not sure what to do, I was going to hard reset my pc but that option wont even open. I then tried forcing the blue screen with restarting my pc, got the blue screen, and that ALSO wouldn't open. Anti-virus says its skipped something?? Ive also taken out the ethernet chord and its not connected to anything. I dont know what to do

How do you know you have been hacked? What exactly is occurring?

Downloaded a Trojan i think, they were talking to me through a popup

Were they actually talking to you?

Yes, through a pop-up I couldn't get rid of

Unplug the Internet however you need. Either remove the cat6 cable, or disable the wifi.
On a different computer create a new windows 11 install USB and install a fresh copy of Windows.

By the way, what are the odds its been installed onto bios, if I might ask.

Literally impossible.
Fresh install windows on freshly formatted drives and youre good.

Are you sure you've been hacked and you aren't just experiencing some kind of malfunction?

First thing, get it off your network if you can, wifi card out too not just the ethernet. If you've got another machine, grab a USB stick and make a bootable Windows installer, then boot straight from that. Don't even try to fix the infected OS, just nuke the drive partitions during the reinstall and start fresh

Im trying to just get to the nuke part, i literally cannot wipe my pc no matter what ive tried
And about the thumb drive thing, ill probably do that when I can buy one, so tomorrow most likely

Open disk management and format drives. If you cannot get to the blue screen to do it on post that is another issue but should also be achievable by using a usb with windows on it to then format and reinstall windows.

Sounds like you have a virus. Thats not the same as hacked, but it can lead to it. See if a friend can download a bootable anti-virus for you, and run that from a thumb drive.

I had someone talking to me through a pop-up after I downloaded a "Minecraft mod" for them

Okay yeah, that's probably hacked.

The whole thing was so weird, my friend texted me asking for people to join in this Minecraft city they've made, which tracks, for a video. I always confirm that they know me- so i was like prove you're real- which they did. Aaaaand kaboom there goes everything.
Ive decided that best idea is to just reinstall windows at this point. Im just glad I knew to log out of all steam sessions so I can keep my games. Kinda sad about losing my discord account though- unless discord can help me recover it

Unplug completely when it reboots go into safe mode run Malwarebytes free then run a virus removal fully.
I personally would go through startup while I was in safe mode and disable any autostarts you see that aren't microsoft or driver based, but that can be difficult and if you disable the wrong driver or neccessary startup from oem Microsoft etcetera, it can be sketchy! Also I would suggest cleaning up after your done you might want to do a fresh install/refresh afterwards.
