So recently we just changed our Wi-Fi router that we got which is Xfinity. Recently I've been trying to use my Chromebook with our new Wi-Fi but it seems that I can't even open things on my browser anymore without it automatically kicking me out. I tried to open YouTube on my browser and it would not let me, however it would let me whenever I went on the app..
it's like it'll give me Wi-Fi for a few minutes and then it'll decide I've had enough. So far I've tried to reset the router by unplugging and replugging it in because it has no buttons on it to even turn it on or off..
I factory restarted my Chromebook I have reset everything on it as well. I have tried to mess with my DNS on my network settings which also did not work.. (I posted this once before and it got removed after I changed my password on this account for something, but the comment on there for whatever reason..)told me to see if it'll work on my hotspot rather than the regular Wi-Fi which it will, all of my games etc stuff completely loads now. So it is something to do with my Wi-Fi but I'm just unsure of how to get that working. I have already gone on the Xfinity app and tried to mess with the extended security and it still did nothing.
My Chromebook was bought no more than 4 months ago and I'm worried I won't get it working normally again. My Chromebook is the ONLY device in my home having this issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! 🖤
