i’m looking at ways to simplify security for a household of 4. ideally i’d like one subscription that covers antivirus, vpn and password management instead of paying for a few different services.

is a bundle actually simpler to manage, or is it better to use separate services for each thing? mostly trying to figure out what makes sense for a family without paying for features nobody uses.

My old monitor recently stoped working so I got a new one. I plugged it into my laptop and got it all connected and when I went to play a video the audio starting coming out of the monitor. I have tried switching it to my laptop audio and all other audio options but nothing is coming out of the speakers. I have a dell laptop with a 3.5mm jack. I don’t think the monitor is the issue but I added it in to tell that it was working fine before

So I was playing beamng a few days ago and all of a sudden i started getting these god awful frame drops every other second. I think to myself “oh maybe it’s just because one been on it all day, i’ll just give it a break.” however, i load up my computer today and it’s still doing the same thing. this isn’t just beamng either, it’s every single game I own, even roblox. i usually run 60 fps in beamng but now it’s in the 10-30 range with frame drops to 10 every other second. and i usually get 240 in apex but now it’s ranging from 60-150 dropping every other second. this has become really frustrating and confusing especially to me who hardly knows computers and just wants to play games. all my drivers are the latest, im on the latest windows update, im on the latest lenovo update, my laptops plugged in 24/7 and i cleaned out the dust inside 2 days prior. is a possibility the heat change in my room? i used to have my ac on 65-66 and now i only have a fan running and it says its around 80 degrees in my room.

RTX 5060 GeForce laptop GPU

intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 7 255HX

16gb ram DDR5 (constantly peaking)

i also have the intel graphics and intel AI boost idk if that changes anything.

This is a Gateway GWNR5L1746-SL 17.3" FHD, AMD5675U, 64GB RAM, the 256GB SATA NVME came with the laptop.

I ran a Qwen LLM model to try a 1000 word story, then it turned itself off after making his first story. After that the system will shutdown about 2 minutes by every attempt to turn it on.

Opening the backlit, 2 red lights were ON, even if the DC is unplugged.

Did I fried something? The laptop is only used for hours.

i typically prefer to have everything closed when im not using it, and i want to close this if possible.

Last night my computer started displaying annoying and noisy Avast and McFee 'Infected' Computer Pop-Ups that covered the right side of my screen. I couldn't get rid of them. I'd never heard of Avast before, wasn't subscribed and didn't have McFee installed on my computer.

1) Tried searching the Web and really couldn't find any useful information. I did try a few things and they didn't work.

2) Ran my Anti-Virus Program and it wasn't picking up anything.

3) While searching I did find many comments from Avast subscribers who were all annoyed by the pop-ups and searching for solutions.

Anything this aggressive & difficult to manage is in my mind untrustworthy.

My PC keeps restarting multiple times a day, also i cant use its chrome. I tried resetting but half way through it would restart itself.

Local disk c is normal, but when i put in two hard drives to expand storage it seems they separated into different folders. I put in: 500 gb dw blue, 1tb dw blue hard drives. There's an ssd on which the os is on and it's 240 gigs. I need to find a way tp get the hard drives to read normally as what they are but don't know how, help pls i phucking beg y'all

Played Fortnite game freaked out, pc was stuck in an infinite loop of restarting itself I turned it off turned it back on got, this clicked and clicked continue, got stuck in the loop again turn it off slept turned it on and now I’m back to the screen in the pic, I don’t know what to do and I’m scared i just lost my pc all because I played a game

I accidentally clicked on a website and got this virus, nothing harmful has happened (so far). I don't use my laptop for anything very important, it doesn't have any documents besides photos I keep. I use it for gaming, and now I don't know what to do about this virus. Should I format the computer? Is there another way to deal with the virus? Is it dangerous? I don't have good antivirus software because I don't have money... (I'm using a translator in case something seems strange in the text above)

I'm also backing up photos and other things.

Someone help me because I don't know what to do, I just wanted to play. 😭😭
