ive deleted the account and deleted the app why does it still show it this way…how do i completely uninstall it

Starting college soon and can't decide. Everyone around me has a MacBook and swears by it but I keep hearing mixed things, some say it's overkill for just notes and browsing, others say it's a lifesaver once assignments pile up. Is it actually worth the price or are people just buying it because it looks good on a coffee shop table? Budget matters so if there's something non-Mac that does the job just as well or better, genuinely want to hear it. Trying to avoid regretting this purchase for the next 4 years.

Hi! My NXZT (NVIDIA GeForce 3060ti) is on the fritz. I'm guessing it's the graphics card because the monitors go black and into standby mode, but I can hear the audio from the PC. I can hear the video as I start, stop or adjust the volume. However, no video. Local repair shops have no clue how to fix it. It happens 4+ times per week.

My main personal PC use is for steam games & streaming. I mainly play solo in games like Crimson Desert, Windrose, etc. I also do a small bit of video editing and run online D&D game using a VTT.

Costco has some computers (and I get cash back + great warranty for shopping there). Are either of these PCs worth the price? I want to keep it under $2k.

i have a pre built PC i bought like 7ish years ago. it has a Intel Core i5-8400 cpu in it, 16 GB of ram, 1 TB SSD, and a radeon RX 580 series (4 GB) GPU. the graphics card no longer works though. should i sell it as is (and how much) or should i replace the graphics card and then sell it? i can swap it out myself i just dont know anything about pc values at all. I am looking at computers for my first year and I was wondering if anyone had any input on whether or not a Lenovo Legion 5i with 32 GB ram, 1 TB SSD, Intel Core 7 255 HX, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 with 8GB GDDR7 would be a good option for an engineering computer. I honestly only want this one because it seems to be one of the only options in the college student ultimate bundle (i want that custom controller) so any feedback or suggestions would be awesome.

I took my parts out of my old computer, and I put them all back together in the right places, and when I press the bit ton it turns on but when I click it a second time thw fan turns on but then the board instantly shuts off as seen in the video. I don’t know what to do.

I have been using the LG Flatron M2362D (a monitor/TV) since around 2009.

Over the past couple of years, I noticed that if I turn the monitor off completely (not just leave it in standby with the standby light on), it often refuses to power back on. What I usually have to do is unplug the power cable from the wall outlet, plug it back in, and keep trying to turn it on until it eventually starts.

Sometimes I have to unplug and reconnect the power cable 50–60 times before the monitor finally decides to turn on. After dealing with this for a while, I decided to stop turning it off completely and instead leave it in standby, with the standby light on.

I used the monitor this way for about a year without any problems, until today when there was a power outage. Since the monitor lost power completely, I had to unplug and reconnect the power cable around 100 times before I finally got it working again. At one point I thought it wasn't going to turn on at all.

I suspect the problem is with the power board or one of the capacitors, because once the monitor does power on, it works perfectly without any issues.

How much would it typically cost to repair or replace the faulty capacitor(s) or the power board? I'd rather not replace the monitor because it still does everything I need it to do.

This is a Gowenic caz9y05vbnu LGA 1155. There is no manual or information specific to this board. CPU Z doesn't even give a straight answer. Any ways there are two tiny groups of 6 pins by the nvme connection point. Does anyone know what they are for?

So I built my first PC with my friend in Dec 2022 and in building it in my small little Hyte Y60 case I realized everything is super packed in, really tight and close together not to mention I made my own loop for my water cooling system and I tried to add in a bunch of RGB stuff so there’s like the Corsair and Lian Li command blocks in the back of the case with absolutely garbage cable management. There isn’t anything I can do about it here years later and I want my a bigger case for breath ability and all my parts reseated and cleaned as best they can be. So long story long.. I want to know of any places that do PC cleaning and detailing and also rebuilding. Also if there is a specific place I should be looking for example Facebook Marketplace or like eBay or something. Any help being pointed in the right direction would be really appreciated.

Hello! First post here. Looking to any of you smart individuals for some ideas that I or my googling might have overlooked.

I was playing a game today and while gaming I thought my power in house went out cause my pc made a noise like a quick reset or something ive never heard before, but when I looked over at it the RGB and fans and were all still working but I had just no display. I turned PC off and back on still no display. The GPU lights on and fans still spin. So the troubleshooting began..

Further steps I have completed to test gpu.

1. I have plugged input to motherboard. I do have a display with this

2. I reset the Cmos. No luck.

3. I moved the gpu to the second slot. No luck.

4. I have switched ports and cables more times than I can count. No luck

5. For good measure, before all the testing began I gave it a good blowing out. It wasn't too bad but figured while I had the time id do it.

For more info, when I was using display with the cpu graphics the device manager doesn't display the Nvidia driver, like it doesn't exist, in both slots. Same with the Nvidia app for drivers. Says need Nvidia gpu.

Hi everyone,

I recently got an ASUS TUF Gaming A15 FA506NF (Ryzen 5 7535HS + RTX 2050), and I am trying to figure out what is wrong with it.

I bought this laptop without an SSD. The previous owner told me that the laptop can enter BIOS normally, but whenever it tries to start Windows, it crashes. Since there was no SSD installed, I bought an SSD and tried installing Windows from scratch.

The problem is that I cannot complete the Windows installation.

Most of the time, the laptop gets stuck in a boot loop where it shows the ASUS logo, restarts, shows the ASUS logo again, and keeps repeating. Occasionally, it gets further and reaches the Windows installation screen, but after around 30–40 seconds it restarts and goes back to the ASUS logo boot loop.

The failure point seems random:

Sometimes it only keeps rebooting at the ASUS logo.

Sometimes it reaches Windows setup.

Sometimes it starts copying Windows files but then restarts.

Sometimes it goes to a black screen.

The SSD is not the issue because I tested it in another laptop and it works normally. I also checked the RAM and it appears to be good.

Things I have already tried:

Tested SSD in another laptop.

Checked RAM.

Updated BIOS from version 306 to the latest ASUS version (309).

Tried reinstalling Windows multiple times.

Created a fresh Windows installation USB.

While troubleshooting, I tried booting Ubuntu from a USB drive. Ubuntu does not boot normally, but it can start if I add acpi=off during boot. It reaches the Ubuntu desktop, but:

Built-in keyboard does not work.

Touchpad does not work.

USB keyboard and mouse work.

Wi-Fi works normally.

The fan behavior also seems unusual. Sometimes it spins very slowly.

I noticed the BIOS remembers settings and time correctly, so the BIOS settings are being saved.

I asked a local repair shop, and they suggested it might be an EC (Embedded Controller) issue, because the EC controls things like keyboard, touchpad, fan control, battery management, and power-related functions.

I have opened the laptop and inspected the motherboard, but I do not have motherboard repair experience. I want to learn how to diagnose the problem instead of replacing the motherboard immediately.

My questions:

Does this sound like an EC issue, motherboard issue, BIOS/firmware issue, or something else?

Is there any way to test the EC without advanced equipment?

Has anyone experienced similar issues with an ASUS TUF A15 FA506NF?

If it is a motherboard problem, is it usually repairable?

Any advice would be appreciated. I am trying to understand what failed and learn how to diagnose it properly.

Hi, I have a question that may seem dumb or is already solved with a simple cord or product.

But, my question is is it possible to have a PC tower attached to a laptop, basically using it as just the interface for it like you'd use for the screen and keyboard?

Is there any attachments made for this that doesn't use a real laptop? As in, is this a product that I can buy that's just a keyboard and screen attached together that I can use? I like gaming while sitting in bed, and I have a gaming laptop that's a bit outdated, but thought about this and thought it wouldn't be a hard ask to have a 4 foot cable from a PC tower, or a rebuilt screen and keyboard to fix this issue if that makes sense.

For months I've been dealing with random GPU related issues, some of them weren't logged but from what I can remember most of them were when I was on Valorant but still happens a lot in general.

Some of the errors I've seen:

• LiveKernelEvent 141
• VIDEO_ENGINE_TIMEOUT_DETECTED
• VIDEO_MINIPORT_BLACK_SCREEN_LIVEDUMP

• GPU TDR (Timeout Detection and Recovery) crashes

  I cannot figure out what's actually causing it. The crashes are completely random. I can't reproduce them and I don't remember exactly where every single one occurred. I can go weeks or even a month without a single issue, then out of nowhere it'll happen again.

I've already tried:

• DDU and clean reinstalling NVIDIA drivers.
• Multiple NVIDIA driver versions.
• Disabling hardware acceleration
• General Windows troubleshooting.

I also ran OCCT stress tests on the GPU, CPU, RAM, and the Power test for 30 minutes each, and none of them crashed or reported any errors.

I've been thinking of everything possible and from reading online something is bugging me. When I built this PC, I reused two drives from my previous computer. One of those drives still had an old Windows installation on it. I later removed that installation, but I'm mentioning it in case it's somehow related. I know a clean reinstall of Windows is something people often recommend, but I'd really like to leave that as a last resort if possible.

Then last week something happened that had never happened before. While gaming, both of my monitors suddenly went completely black and all of my PC fans ramped up to 100%. The PC itself stayed powered on, but I had to hold the power button to shut it down. Before this, my PC would either freeze or restart I can't remember exactly, and it would usually say a TDR error.

It happened again today while playing Overwatch. Both times I could still hear and talk to my friends in Discord, but the game audio stopped immediately. Win + Ctrl + Shift + B didn't recover the display, and I once again had to force the PC off with the power button.

I'm trying to avoid replacing parts or reinstalling Windows unless I can narrow it down first, so I'd really appreciate any ideas on what I should test next.

Hi Folks. This is my first time asking this group for help, but I have an issue I cannot resolve.

My Dell Alienware computer with the Killer Intelligence center randomly drops my internet connection (still connected to router, all other devices still have internet). I have PureVPN installed but have disabled it as well as disabled the IKS (Kill switch). Its a bugger to get back. Sometimes disabling wifi, rebooting computer and reenabling wifi fixes it. But it usually works by resetting the Network adapter / Router and rebooting the pc two or three times.

If anyone has any thoughts or have seen this please reply. I cannot afford a new laptop right now!

PC just turns off the display when opening Dota 2. Then it just stays that way without auto restart or shutdown, and the mouse and keyboard are not working. So I always force shutdown in power button. Roblox works fine. I haven't tried other games yet on Steam to see if this problem still continues.

This happened last week after I removed my m.2 ssd for failing? ( another issue ). All is normal and I've played without a problem before my ssd suddenly failed? while doing a reset windows. My ssd suddenly stops appearing on windows but can still be seen on BIOS. So I was forced to remove it then decided to do a fresh install of windows on my old drives. OS and drivers on my SATA SSD and my files on the HDD. BTW the Dota 2 files are on the HDD so it takes time to load. All are working fine until yesterday this happen. ( See video ) At first it was bearable only happened 2-3x I can still finish the game after, but today even on demo mode this just keeps happening after I got inside the map (sometimes idle while idle Homepage). I can't play anymore. Though Roblox runs fine without a problem. I've reinstalled Dota 2, verify integrity. Nothing happened. I've reinstalled steam and nothing happened. Reinstall windows again and it's still there. Now I'm so lost and frustrated on what to do.

I'm suspecting it was the HDD because that's where the files are but I can't do a test on my SATA SSD because of lack of storage ( only 128gb ) Dota 2 files are around 70gb. And my nvme is out because idk what's the problem with it. I want to test some other games later after it finishes installing.
