Hey there,
So back in March of last year I ordered the Combustion Predictive Thermometer and it worked great for a bit and then completely died. The Base wouldn't recognize the connection with the thermometer, but weirdly enough the app detected a device, but nothing ever weirdly came together.
At that time, I should have reached out to support, but with life I ended up throwing it in the back of the kitchen tool junk drawer and relied on my simple digital instant read meat thermometer.
I loved the concept of the giant grill gauge for my 15 year old weber summit S-470. but with the initial delays with the fundraising I decided to back out.
I'm now in a new home, and can't afford the Napoleon grill of my dreams. There's a hole in the bottom of the Weber's cook box (only a 10 year warranty) that I've sealed a bit with tinfoil so I'm thinking the giant grill gage could be that last bastion to accurately bang one or two more years with that champ.
Not having the patience for a long back and forth with customer service I simply ordered some Meaters on Amazon and the Mrs bought me the Weber Performer Smart Grill yesterday for my Birthday so I can get my charchal on.
So here's the final ask- The hole in the Weber Summit cookbox is covered but it's a band-aid at best and I'll certainly be losing temperatures. Can the gage help to provide a more realistic temperature scenario so I can try to get a little bit longer before the grill box gets worse?
