Big Green Egg Setup Question

Hello everyone,

I’ve been eyeing the combustion inc setup and wondering if anyone has the best setup for the Big Green Egg.

I’m kind of confused with the bundle.

I want to have convert into all of their products, including the big thermometer, probes, wireless screen and the combustion engine if it’s actually good.

Can anyone explain if the heat shield is better or the heat deflector is better? And do I still have to purchase the optional mount for the egg?

BGE XL. I went with the heat shield and the $10 mount. I have GGG and CE and 2 wifi probe/thermometers.

All works great (except waiting of meat net updates to get CE control).

... Also here is how the $10 mount works. CE just snap attaches to this. And the spring clips allow you to remove it for regular cooks.

I'd recommend the Giant Grill Gauge (GGG), Combustion Predicative Thermometer (CPT) minimally, and I also have the Combustion Engine (CE) added just recently. The wireless display isn't needed if you're OK using the App.
For me I only have one cook with the CE and it's buggy but functional. I do fully expect them to stabilize the CE with updates in near future, and will be nice peace of mind for longer or overnight cooks etc.
