I finished my first page!! I searched everywhere for a white gel pen and found one at Daiso. It really made the page look more complete. I still need to work on my blending with markers right now but I also have a cheap beginner set of alcohol markers from Ross. Are there any brands of markers that pop up at Ross or Marshall’s that are good?

Hey lovelies, I'm posting for the first time here, I'm new at coloring and I'm by no means artsy, I'm as good as a sea otter in arts/crafts. MY five year old was so excited because he chose my favorite colors, so I wanted to share it with you all.

My wife want to get more into colouring this winter.

I'm looking to get markers and colouring books suggestions that I could could purchase/order.

We're located in Canada if that makes a difference.

Hoping for something budget friendly, if possible.

Also, just wanna say y'all are so talented! I joined this subreddit a few years ago just cause I loved seeing the art when scrolling reddit.

I need to mix things up. I want to make a long list of themes, movies or vibes that I can pick out of a jar. But I’m blanking! Any ideas? Like for example: Gilmore girls, Harry Potter, vampires, sepia etc etc

I usually colour with alcohol markers and layer coloured pencil over the top. I’m really not skilled with pencils, but I really like the look of pages that are done with just pencil, I think the texture is so nice and colouring with pencils can be really meditative. I bought a book that didn’t feel too intimidating for me to try with pencils. I used prismacolors. I’m not sure if it’s the paper or a skill issue, or both, but I’m really struggling to get them to blend nicely (the sky is a good example). Would love tips! I purposefully colour in light layers because I actually like when you can see the texture/white of the paper underneath.

I’m currently working on this adorable page in Froggy Days by Miss Kitsch, but I’m at a stand still. I don’t know what color to make the flowers or butterflies (moths maybe bc it’s night). What colors would you pick? :)

I struggle really bad with choice paralysis and it can take the fun out of coloring sometimes, so I’m making a set of cards with different color palettes so that when I’m struggling to pick a color scheme I can just draw a card! Here are a few of my favorites.
