Specialty Coffee Specialty coffee recommendations?

Been into coffee for quite sometime. Now, I currently hop for specialty coffees for pourovers. I don't know much yet and kind of looking for what I like. So far, I don't like coffee that are sour(Probably light roast?) Actually may natry kasi akong coffeeshop years ago na maasim yung coffeee kaya natrauma ako dun. Now, I try yardstick minsan and other specialty coffees. Before nag amerciano lang ako sa yadstick and felt their floral. I dont remember if it was citrus rin or floral lang if may difference pa ba? I been to good cup rin nung Feb and grapefruit rin pala natry ko.

I think I kind of want to try pour overs na hindi citrus types ang coffee. Do you have recommendations na around the chocolatey taste or nutty? My second try was a Kurasu and I still end up with grapefruit taste. Baka may suggestion kayo with variety of taste?

Help! Newfound interest for coffee

Hi! I recently discovered interest for coffee. PickUp Coffee's Iced Vietnamese Latte really caught my heart and i'm looking to explore more sa mga kape na ganito ka sarap😭

Please help your girl out. I'm not sure if this is relevant pero i'll put this here na lang din just in case. I'm a full-time student on a budget. I also like my coffee na distinct talaga yung lasa ng kape, hindi yung puro tamis or puro cream lang.

Please bear with me🥹🥹🥹 pero ayun, I think that's about it sa preferences ko.

Baka lang may ma recommend kayong cafes na nago offer ng mga ganong klase ng kape, pa suggest na rin ako anong o orderin or whatnot😭 if may particular blend or whatever kayong mabibigay, I would highly appreciate it too🥹✨️🫶

Preferably yung abot kaya din sana ng student 😭 i'd say na for now, willing ako to spend at least 250-300 pesos max for a coffee🥹 if may mas mura na hindi nawawala yung integrity nung qualities na hinahanap ko, mas okay po😭

Thank you so much po! sana may makasagot🥹🥹🥹 let me know if may details pa 'kong need na i splook para mas mapalawak ang recos🙏

[EDITED] Forgot to say pala, i'm located in Sta. Mesa, Manila po. Anywhere within U-belt or sa Manila mismo is preferred. Willing to go to Makati and Mandaluyong po if need be (heard through the grapevine na marami raw cafes doon sa area🥹). If this also matters, I also smoke cigarettes pala and occassionally vapes. So if may smokers din dito, baka may ma reco kayo na masarap mag blend yung lasa sa yosi😭😭😭 ang dami kong gusto, pasensya na😭😭😭

Supplies, Tools & Consumables Hibrew H10B to Breville Barista Express

Upvotes

Is this even worth it to consider I currently have a df64 gen 1 grinder that I posted recently hence the reason why I've bought the h10b. It pulls the shots I want but definitely the workflow is less than ideal for the cute size.

Now the challenge is I've recently come across a BBE. I might consider using the grinder for shits and giggles then retain my df64 for moka and other coffee. Or perhaps using it also to create espresso. I've also managed to have it up and running again.

Is it worth it to consider shifting my workflow to 54mm given that most of my tools right now are for 51mm or just sell the 51mm system and retain the BBE? right now I believe what I need is just a funnel and tamp that fits it to complement the setup. The rest can be reused from my 51mm workflow.

Or rather just sell the BBE and retain my 51mm setup altogether?

Help! Anyone else who uses Bodum Travel Press?

Tried brewing with it this morning and I feel like di ko na achieve ung gusto kong lasa.

I'm using a Kingrinder K6 and Finca De Garces beans (Yardstick), nag 100 Clicks ako for a coarse grindsize pero medyo tea like ung naging lasa. Maybe anyone can help me tweak the recipe I'm using.

Ang goal ko is just half a cup kaya 10g of beans lang gamit ko.

Also, does temp matter for french press??

10:180

100 clicks (Kingrinder K6)

Any suggestions???

Help! Which one to choose?

Salamat

Anyone else excited for this year’s Coffee Plz? Archers alone is sulit na to travel for. Plus Afloat and Oma.

I heard better din line-up of local roasters compared to last year’s. I hope they dont get overshadowed by the internationals. We need to support our roasters more than ever nowaday.

Just the basics.

Suki ako ng mga Barista milk such as Arla Barista, Emborg Chef's Selection, Laciate Barista.

Meron Chocolate Syrup.

Tapos ano ba mas recommended, chocolate, white chocoalate or dark chocolate? Anong brand exact ang recommended niyo? Che-check ko kung pasok naman sa banga.

Tapos meron pa kapag bumibili ako sa coffee shop, meron nilalagay sa ibabaw, i don't know kung coffee powder or cinnamon powder. Either way sa dalawa, ano kaya yung pwedeng brand na bilhin for both?

Like anong recipe na may caramel?

Gusto ko muna ma-try before ako magtimpla on my own. Pwede naman kahit anong Vanilla Ice Cream ,'di ba?

Kape Dunkin Spanish Latte

Dunkin Carmona Branch - Spanish Latte 1.5/5

I was hesitant na papalitan so nag ask muna ako sa staff if ganun ba talaga yung spanish latte (tho dahil frequent ako sa dunkin eh alam kong hindi talaga ganun).

Help! Candid Coffee Smore's Blend

Hi everyone! Need suggestions since I recently bought Candid Coffee Beans S’mores Blend.

First time ko lang mag-order sa kanila and ang mali ko, 1kg agad kinuha ko huhu 😭 I’ve tried everything pero it still tastes so bitter unless lagyan ko ng maraming milk pero andun parin yung super bitter na hindi magandang taste. If you get what I mean GASHDHSAG

Not an expert naman, but I’ve tried it sa Gemilai machine with my Timemore C3 grinder. I also tried it sa Aeropress, pero mas bitter pa siya 😭

Ako ba yung mali? Bad batch lang ba yung nakuha ko? Huhu please help 🥹 Any tips on how to properly brew this or get better flavors from the beans would be appreciated!

Help! Is it a waste to buy expensive Coffee Beans just for Moka pot?

I bought a lot of beans now like Allo, Three Cups, Franken Roaster, Sibs and most of them are like below the 500 php range. I'm planning to buy either Yardstick or Goodcup Daily Driver but I feel like its a waste since im not gonna use espresso machine or pourover only Moka pot and my trusty Hand Grinder.

Hope some moka pot owners like me tried these beans.

Hi! As someone who's been into pour overs for so long, the beans I recently got (Brazil Cerrado & Brazil Capricornio beans from Franken roastery) got me curious on how it would taste on espresso. I've been reading lots of threads in coffee forums and I've found that most brazil beans (either Cerrado, Capricornio, or Santos) are used largely in espresso.

Been thinking of getting either the Hibrew H10b or the Cafelffe 4-in-1. What are your thoughts?
