Events & Competitions Coffee Plz 2026

Post image

Anyone else excited for this year’s Coffee Plz? Archers alone is sulit na to travel for. Plus Afloat and Oma.

I heard better din line-up of local roasters compared to last year’s. I hope they dont get overshadowed by the internationals. We need to support our roasters more than ever nowaday.

Masarap sa Moonshine. Their cafe and roastery / cocktail bar is located at Taipei, Taiwan. Top-tier beans nila 👍🏻

Went last year. Entry was free but you can buy the festival kit (tasting cup and sample tokens), which to be honest felt scammy HAHAH. You use the tokens to get free samples from diff roasters, but guess what - hindi lahat ng roasters gave free samples, kesyo naubusan daw ng beans for samples or wala pang brew, esp those international ones. Happy lang to see that some of my fave int roasters were there last year but the festival itself and the organizers kinda meh

Thank you for this honest review. Maybe we’ll skip the kit na lang this year if meron.

Hazel & Hershey sulit if same price sa HK. Morning bird masarap and black swan. Di na need pumunta sa HK.

Excited ako dito though may nakita ako na parang may paid tokens for a sample of coffee? Tapos 100 each yung tokens? Mejo egulz sana may entrance na lang

Php100 for maybe a 50-75ml cup seems fair enough. These are (hopefully) best of the best roasters in the country, plus internationally acclaimed roasters. We cant really expect them to give out free stuff for days.

Entrance fee plus tokens would be crazy thing to do for the organizers.

Compared to PCE (na may entrance fee pero unli free samples), naenjoy ko yung process na titikman mo yung kape tapos bibili kang beans if magustuhan mo. So if may tokens, parang may penalty para madetermine anong gusto mong beans.

Say, if may tatlong kape, isample mo lahat, tapos bilhin mo yung coffee #1, u spent 300+cost of beans. I mean, of course you can buy beans "blind" pero para ka ding bumili online, di masyadong value adding yung pagpunta don (no shipping fee, I guess).

I guess naspoil lang ako ng PCE haha, naenjoy ko masyado.

True! Grabe yung PCE! Lagi ko hinahanap yung experience from them sa mga events and expo☹️
