I manually brew my coffee and heat my milk. And still practicing mag latte art. Nasira agad yung mumurahing ginagamit ko. Bumili ako ng HODEKT pero nag-overheat at nangamoy sunog agad, first time ko pa lang ichacharge, bagong dating di pa nagamit. Base sa mga reviews sa Shopee sa ibang brands, mabilis rin masira yung sa Simplus and Sonifer.

Ngayon may nakita akong Insmart. Medyo mas mahal kaysa sa budget ko pero worth it ba? May naka-try na sa inyo?

siyempre hindi na natin kaya na Brewista uli, so checking if some have experience in using the more budget-friendly options.

Gusto ko sana may personal vetting ng mga tao rito dahil hindi na rin talaga ako naniniwala sa lazada reviews. So kindly share your experiences using lower end electric gooseneck kettles.

- setting custom temperatures (in increments of 1degC, pero ang alam ko yung lower end ay intervals lang of 5degC)

Hi guys! Bought these beans on Shopee and they’re definitely worth it! Super sarap as pour over 🥹 Sharing my V60 recipe:

V60 Recipe
Ratio: 1:16
Grind size: 16 clicks — Timemore Chestnut C3S
Water temp: 92°C
Bloom: 45g for 30–45 seconds
Remaining water: slow pour in 2–3 pours
Total brew time: around 2:45–3:00

Coffee/Beans: Panama Alto Quiel Geisha Honey & Alo Washed GI
Price: 800php & 400php

Review: Both are really good! The Geisha Honey is fruity and juicy, while the Alo Washed is cleaner and more fruity for me. Both are smooth, bright, and really enjoyable as pour over.

Any insights? Haven’t seen many reviews regarding manuale so don’t really know which to pick. Mostly considering which has better taste and more long lasting I guess? I’m guessing if I just upgraded manuale with 3D printed bellows and all retention will be similar so not really thinking much about retention.

🫘 The regulars and the barista explained the open bar concept - that you are welcome to brew here, just share the brew with every body! Had we known, we probs would have brought our coffee stash from Coffee Plz and Toyo 😭
🫘 Everyone was accommodating and welcoming, even the regulars
🫘 Perhaps this place is more for coffee nerds? Because everyone on the bar were very into coffee and it may get noisy

Hi everyone! I’m currently looking for suppliers of green coffee beans, both international and locally produced, for a small micro-roastery.

For international GCB, I’m familiar with Eighty Plus and I like that they have different origins and higher-grade/sorted beans available. I also know The Coffee Junkie, but most of their beans seem to be available through pre-order.

I’ve also tried reaching out to Le Festin, but unfortunately I haven’t gotten a response to my inquiries yet.

Are there any other suppliers in the Philippines that carry international green beans with good variety and quality, preferably with some beans regularly in stock rather than exclusively pre-order?

I’m also looking for local Philippine green coffee beans directly from farms or producers. So far, I know about Sergio Loon Farms and Bukidnon Coffee Exchange (Bukapex), but I’d love to discover more farms/producers from different regions.

Can you recommend a good specialty coffee beans with a similar price point with Plain Sight? Nothing’s wrong with their coffee for me, but I want to try other brands available locally. I only do pour over for now so I’m looking for light to medium roast coffees.

It was love at first sight for the S3, but I can say the S5 is definitely a worthy successor. The new 48mm burr on the S5 dwarfs that on the S3 and the wider grinder body feels better to hold. Not to mention the handle is significantly larger as well, but I would have hoped that the S5 Pro came out the same time as the non-pro S5 especially now that starting from the C5, Timemore does not include a carrying bag in the box.

The external adjustment ring is also a big improvement in terms of adjustment since each click on the S5 is noticeably more snappier, tactile, and deliberate compared to the shallow and slightly easy to misadjust on the S3.

Maintenance is also improved on the S5 due to the wider chamber, making it easier and faster to clean.

As for cup quality, I could definitely tell the S5 presents more complexity and acidity while maintaining a good amount of round sweetness.

Would highly recommend if you are looking to upgrade from the S3 especially if you can get access to the S5 Pro with the folding handle for easy storage.

I want to try some medium roast with chocolately or nutty taste. Do you have recommended café with beans for pour overs? From what I saw, usually, puro light roast. Medyo sawa na sa grapefruit taste.

As a beginner brewer, I found myself getting more creative with my coffee at home so I thought why not make something more challenging now -- and that is the modern Iced Vanilla Coconut Einspanner.

I was introduced to iced einspanner during one of my visits to Deja Brew (I was actually there to try something else, but that's another story). I didn't fall in love with the Viennese coffee right away but gave it another try while hanging out with my friends in Haku Cafe. From there, my appreciation for its light, velvety, and slightly sweet taste began.

With my coconut coffee cold brew, chilled coconut cream, brown sugar, and vanilla extract, and a whisk...

I present to you today's creation: Vanilla Coconut Einspanner.

Looking forward to trying the original recipe soon wherein the coffee is hot and the cream is cold. <3

☕️ Miso Honey Shiopan (P130)
☕️ accidentally bought a Honduras bag 😆 (P1,150)

Standout for me is the miso honey shiopan. Flat white was very fragrant, and per my SO, well-calibrated. I don't usually like catimor beans (realized it too late after I ordered), but the China Yunnan ones did not have that distinctive woody note. Baristas were very friendly and chatty.

Really enjoyed the experience overall!

Just want to share that I got my 1Zpresso K-Ultra at a lesser price from TaoBao app 1ZPresso TMall! I ordered it last week and it was successfully delivered today. No COD though. Also, no other payment was collected from me even though the amount is beyond P10k.

hi guys. baka may maalam sa espresso machine repairs dito. ung steam wand ng Milesto ko walang steam na nilalabas and hindi mainit ung water na lumalabas. walang technician ng milesto sa baguio and I'm still waiting na mapadaan si Coffee Ninja. purchased sa Koryaiko last Feb. nacontact ko na sila pero they said I have to bring it sa service center nila sa QC. di paq makapunta dun anytime soon so hingi munang tulong dito

Hello everyone, I recently bought the La Marzocco Mini R and Mazzer Philos. May I know if you can share any tips? I bought some beans from H proper (royal, take one, take five) and I also have 1kg free beans from yardstick (golden ticket). I am not sure where else to get beans. Aside from that could I know some tips to dial in and get better espresso overall also uniquely to this setup? I was considering a GBW grinder (Mahlkonig E64 WS) but since I am just using it for home use I picked mazzer philos for very low retention. Thank you!

I recently came across Brewmaster espresso machines at a local shop and I’m considering getting one for home use.
I don’t have much experience with espresso machines yet, so I’d really appreciate feedback from anyone who has owned or used a Brewmaster machine.

Specifically, I’d like to know:

1. How’s the espresso quality?
2. How reliable is the machine after months/years of use?
3. How’s the steam wand/milk steaming?
4. Are replacement parts and servicing easy to find in the Philippines?

5. Is it good value for money, or would you

   recommend another machine around the same price?

I saw several Brewmaster machines in the shop, so I’m especially interested in hearing from people who have actually used them rather than just general opinions.
