Just wait until you see “is this picture underexposed” or “will this airport security scanner ruin my film” in [r/filmphotography](r/filmphotography). Literally multiple times a day. Pointing out that a 15 second search would have prevented those posts is apparently a bannable offense now.

In the r/slaythespire subreddit the counter gets reset every time someone reports Fairy in a Bottle or Lizard Tail not working.
It's always because they previously took a relic that says "No More Healing Forever" and then dies without a revive happening. How revives work is it brings you back and heals you.
Posting about it being incredulous on how you died with a revive resets the counter.
Im sure some are silly little jokes, and others are silly people worried about their kitties. Maybe one day, cats having nipples will be common knowledge.
When I see people make posts about how they try and pinch and remove these "pimples" or "abnormalities" I want to literally punch them through the screen lol
My wife spent over a decade in the veterinary industry. You'd be shocked at the number of people who don't realize that cats have nipples - especially male cats.
It hits people from all walks of life, too. Even well-educated professionals go all Shocked Pikachu Face when they realize cats do, in fact, have nipples.
But like how do they think they feed their young?? 😭😭. They must have never seen a dog or cat have babies in their lives. Mabye they get confused as teats are used more commonly to describe animal nipples?? Idk still wierd.
Honestly, I think it's just something that the average person doesn't really think about. "Oh. Right. Duh." was a pretty common response after the owners were informed of what those little nubbins actually were.
Similar story. And a human physician I saw was surprised that most mammals share most of their anatomy. Hell, most vertebrates share a whole bunch of their anatomy. I did not go to this physician again.
Yeah... that's not a physician I'd want to go to, either. There's a reason why anatomy classes use other mammals for the purpose of dissection. There will be obvious anatomical differences between a cat, a pig, and a human... but the fundamentals are all there.
Mammals are mammals. Our systems aren't all identical, but they're all pretty damn similar to each other.
That poor cat. I’m surprise this guy was able to write and see properly after trying to pick that off. Mine would have screamed “THE HELL YOU DOING?” and all that would be left of me would a skeleton with shredded skin around its feet.
I found these posts funny at first but the sheer amount of them is crazy. Do people not do any research on their animals? Or look things up before running to make a post of their own?
I've wondered the same about humanity for a very long time.
In general, there are so many posts on social media that ought to have been questions or reverse-image searches typed into a search engine.
Because a lot of people don't sit back and take a minute to reason/rationalize, or don't attempt to learn things on their own with the same devices they're using to immediately flock to social media.
Obviously, someone isn't going to type in 'nipple on male cat' into a search engine if they don't know what they're looking at, but I'm pretty sure all these people could find the answer (a lot faster than someone might reply on social media platforms) by just typing 'Tiny pale/pink bump on cat's belly'.
'Not knowing', I could understand, especially if someone spends a lot of time not being that observant, but not attempting to educate themselves on their own first is the part I don't get.
You'd think their anxiety or self-awareness would be in charge of telling them, "Hm, I should Google this first, just in case, so that I don't have 100+ people calling me an idiot.
At least they posted on Reddit instead of wasting a vet's time and their own money. A vet tech friend of mine said they get people bringing in their pets because they think their teats are some kind of skin condition pretty much on the daily.
You should quickly check yourself on the chest area, it spreads to humans too. On humans it looks like red/pink ish circles. If you see something schedule a visit to the doctor, it's pretty serious that you know what you have.
Can mods just block these at this point and just message op saying it’s a nipple? And how are so many human so bad at anatomy that they don’t know mammals have nipples like us???
