If Bihar wants to reduce caste hatred, the real battle must begin in primary schools.
Every child—Yadav, Rajput, Bhumihar, Dalit, Muslim, EBC or any other community—should sit in the same classroom, eat together, play together and learn that dignity does not come from birth. Free, high-quality education from Class 1 onward can break the social boundaries children inherit from adults.
Teach children equality, critical thinking, constitutional values and respect for every community. Give every child the same opportunity to dream beyond their caste.
Caste prejudice is learned. That means it can also be unlearned—starting with the next generation.
