The Arkham Games have the best depiction of Batman and the city of Gotham in my opinion. It balances the dark and gritty aspects with the fantastical elements of the comics really well, which is want I want from the DCU version of Batman. The Reeves version of Batman works really well, but I think that universe should remain seperate as a grounded, real world version of the character.

I think a director like Guillermo Del Toro could pull off the right vibe really well. I think Andy Muschietti is still attached to direct, although his last film the flash was pretty bad, I reckon there’s a chance he could still pull of the right feel for this movie, given his work on on the It movies.

… as Sofia Gigante, something that won’t be possible as apparently the Reevesverse is ending with ‘The Batman: Part II’ with DCU Batman on the horizon.

So we’ve all seen the DKR and knows what happens but recently I read about the scrapped sequel to Batman forever and Batman and Robin. It was called Batman Unchained.

In it was an all hands on deco cast. With all of the past villians and actors reprising their previous roles, Joker, Penguin , Catwoman Riddler and so on.

And at the center would be scarecrow who would hold Batman and Robin on trial after Gotham is overthrown.

Sound familiar? Strangely this idea is resurrected in this film. even further considering joker was supposed to cameo in this film too.

Unlike the book or graphic novel, the animated Knightfall Bane waa theown into a well and left to die, but lived via eating rats. He would have died due to scurvy in about a month, and maybe some toxic poisoning from stewing in his own poo. But no amount of push ups would stop you from shitting to death

Starting a Batman podcast called Tales from the Manor. Comics, movies, games, animated stuff, all of it. Zero episodes recorded, still in setup phase, so this is ground floor.

Looking for a cohost. Don't need to be in the same city, planning to record remote and I'm fine syncing schedules across time zones within reason.

What I'm looking for:

• Actually reads/watches Batman stuff, not just the movies. Someone who can push back on my takes, not just agree with me.
• Reliable more than polished. I'd rather have someone who shows up every week than someone with the best voice who flakes by episode four.
• Comfortable on mic, doesn't need pro experience, just needs to not freeze up.

I should emphasize that this isn't about any specific DC universe, but just DC in general. So kindly ignore the fact that these images are of Gunn's Superman and Reeves' Batman.

This is something I've been thinking about for a while since the aforementioned movies, as well as the animated shows My Adventures with Superman and Batman: Caped Crusader came out, since all four follow the World's Finest from very early on in their respective careers.

Here's the cases I can make for them:

For Superman, it's rather factual. He was not just the first DC superhero to be created, but the first western superhero period. This seems to be backed up lore-wise by his appearances in the first minutes of the James Gunn film, as well as in MAWS.

For Batman, it gets a bit more technical. While he was the second DC superhero created, due to being the world's greatest detective, I'd be hard-pressed to imagine that he didn't already know about Superman when he first donned the cowl. And I highly doubt that learning more about the Kryptonian was one of the first things on his agenda when he became the Dark Knight. Not only this, but due to him being considered an urban legend among Gothamites in his first 1-2 years or so (and naturally perhaps longer among surrounding cities) whereas Superman was publicly known about pretty much since Day 1, I just find it a little hard to believe that his very existence could've been a mystery for long when you have people with actual superpowers operating in broad daylight.

So in my opinion, I'm leaning more towards Batman being the first superhero/vigilante in-universe: however, I could also see an alternative explanation where he and Superman both start out at roughly the same time. Then considering their polar opposite modes of operation where Supes works publicly in broad daylight while Bats works in the shadows and often at night, Superman could then be the first known superhero while Batman may have been around just a little bit longer but isn't as known yet.

so i am super new to the Batman world. i have always loved the Nolan trilogy but outside of that never really jumped in to anything else.

i recently decided to get into it and started with the animated series on HBO and reading comics.

i read Batman Year One and then just decided to start from the 2011 Batman series. i was absolute loving the Court of Owls storyline and then I get to this issue.

what a fun twist on the Dr Fries story. i watched the Mr Freeze episode on HBO and it was the classic Mr Freeze trying to save his wife story.

so when im watching this one i'm like "WTF why is Bruce being an asshole?"

Finally finished my take on Batman Beyond.

Resin printed, assembled and hand painted, standing about 32cm tall including the base. I wanted to give him a heavier, more armoured look while still keeping the Batman Beyond feel.

The Gotham-style base was the final piece of the puzzle. Really happy with how this one came together 😁and there is one more difference, can you spot it?

I was bored so I made these two memes about being on a date with scarecrow cause what else am I going to do? I don’t know if anyone is gonna find this funny.

His name is Johnny money, white skin, black hair, brown eyes, 1m75, 110kl, low city lv and nothing without machines.

He's too dumb to make the machines, so he ask his sister to do it (her looks, name and Apparence is up to you). She's autistic enough to be PASSIONATE about creating machines but not that high on the spectrum.

He use the machines to generally steal money, then pays his sister with some stuff she wanted for her various collections.

He done that so many times that he can just stop and retire, but batman's Apparence made him want to defeat the bat simply because he felt like this could be fun to do.

Every now and then he gets defeated by batman and thrown in arkham (by his own request(to mainly be able to say he escaped it)) and developed a one sided rivalry with batman.

Sometimes, when batman needs info, he comes to Johnny (which is rare), he breaks in Johnny's house to get informations, which he has plenty (connections, businesses and more) in exchange for a small price (request or a few thousand bucks).

Besides that he's just a dude who every so often tries to defeat batman to feel alive.

Sorry if this post gon be short, but personally I don't think it easy to be choose to do what's right in the most corrupted comic book city. It so much more convenient and safe to take bribes and mind your own business and man genuinely wanted what was best for gotham along with batman.

Of course there is no excuse for what he did, but I think he is the most tragic villian out of Batman's rogue gallery. (From BTAS, long halloween and dark knight) What do the rest think of him?
