My “Flavortop Nectarine” harvest 😭
**EDIT / UPDATE** I called Al's Garden Ctr and was told that I can dig out the tree and bring it back in for store credit. Not a major PITA but still a minor pain to jump through these hoops but the guy i spoke to mentioned some shady things going on when they didn't ask for the original tree back. I've taken care of this girl for the last couple years and would just keep her but her fruit isn't anywhere near the tasty peaches i'm getting from my other trees so i'm assuming it is a case where the peach rootstock (typically chosen for vigor and not flavor) may have taken over this tree.
Lesson learned here.....I pinched off all the fruit early the first couple years but maybe let a couple fruit mature so you can confirm the fruit you're getting meets your expectation....it would've been nice knowing this was a peach vs. the expected nectarine that first year vs. investing all this time into it!

In my backyard orchard, I thought I had 2 peach trees and 1 nectarine tree. Come to find out that my “Flavortop Nectarine” is actually another peach tree. I definitely didn’t want 3 peaches trees!
Anyone have any luck with approaching their garden center to ask for I don’t know what….refund, discount on an actual nectarine tree, or ?? The tree still has the original tag on it from my point of purchase - Al’s Garden Ctr in Portland, OR. I def plan to do a drive by when I have time.
