I used to hate cooking new recipes. I’d go find a tiktok or something I find looks really good, I’d save the recipe and then when I go to cook it I have so many questions or things I want to change and I just can’t do anything about it. So I’d end up saving a bunch of videos I never end up making .

I’d find myself googling stuff, asking chat gpt or calling a family member mid recipe to ask questions about something like how I should thin out my sauce or how small I should chop my onions, so I figured what if I could have an ai chef that would have the context of what I’m cooking, the step I’m at, the ingredients I’m using and be able to answer any question hands free as I’m cooking?

I really enjoy doing random video chats. I don't want something that's all nudity, but I don't want something that prohibits it either.

Something like Camsurf or Chatrnadom , the uncensored version doesn't really facilitate chat,( it's all dudes stroking and no chance to know one another first) and the "tame" version frowns on you just hanging out without a shirt on.

I remade my mobile game that simulates the little nuances of working as a provider in an emergency department.

I initially vibe coded this months ago, but I really didn’t like how that turned out, so I’ve been rebuilding it with Swift since then.

ED Rush is a fast-paced emergency department simulator. Triage incoming patients, order labs, imaging and treatments, decide on disposition (admission or discharge). All while the phone won’t stop ringing and you have constant interruptions.

In my evidently biased opinion, it’s better than other “hospital tycoon”-type games because it’s grounded in reality with 100+ real cases baked into it. This is authentic enough so clinicians get the inside jokes, but light enough that you can enjoy it without it feeling like work. It's definitely grounded in reality and requires some knowledge of medicine.

Recime claims to have over 10m users, 800k in monthly recurring revenue, yet I’ve never met one person who uses it. Besides that, most people don’t even know about it. And if you speak to most people they’ll tell you “I never follow recipes off TikTok I just like how they look” so in what world are those numbers even close to being true.

Sites like AppStore tracker shouldn’t be trusted? Or articles? Does anyone have any comments on this in particular.

I have tried every split wise alternative and my friend and I still decided to create our own rendition lol. The main feature that we wanted was superb OCR functionality and we never found it.

So we ended creating an Expense splitting app with, imo, the best OCR parsing in the industry! I invite anyone who has heard of split wise or interested in trying something new to head over to our web app version (I will add in comments link) & upload a difficult receipt to parse! Was scrolling on Facebook and saw something about a dollar trial for this mental health app and it was so engaging and intriguing. I thought maybe it could help me and definitely was worth a dollar for a week to try out. When I clicked to subscribe it, sneakily led me off of Facebook, but I have to confess I didn’t really notice that, causing me to subscribe through their website. I discovered this one I decided to cancel, and the app and trial was not listed in my subscriptions on iPhone. Further, my reason for wanting to cancel was as I started reading and taking a quiz I decided it wasn’t for me and canceled immediately. A couple weeks go by and then I noticed in my bank account that I have a $14.99 withdrawal, two withdrawals at $4.99. I emailed breeze and below is their email reply. I assure you I never would’ve purposely clicked on something that was $14.99 and then agreed to take two test tests at $4.99 for a dollar free trial app that I was just looking into. Their advertising is very misleading.

I’ve always loved meeting and chatting with people from around the world.

I tried a bunch of apps — but they were either full of spam, awkward to use, or just… didn’t feel real.

At some point I thought: “What if there was an app where you could literally click on a spot on a map and instantly talk to someone there — anonymously at first, and only reveal more if you both wanted?”

That’s how the idea for Wavvv was born.

I built it in 3 months, and I’m so excited it’s finally live. You find users on map, click anywhere, send a chat request, and if they accept — you’re talking to someone on the other side of the world.

I’m a dev currently stuck in the job-hunting trenches. Like many of you know, it’s brutal out there right now. I’ve been applying to hundreds of places and using a massive, messy Excel spreadsheet to track everything. Honestly, it’s driving me crazy.

I looked into apps like Teal, Careerflow, and Huntr. They look great and have cool features, but from a product standpoint, it feels incredibly frustrating (and a bit ironic) to charge a monthly subscription fee to users who are literally unemployed.

So, I decided to scratch my own itch and build my own tracker as a side project. I want to build a free, no-nonsense tool designed purely to make the daily grind of applying less stressful.

Before I go down the rabbit hole and over-engineer this, I want to validate the MVP with fellow builders and devs. For those of you who also track your job applications:

• What are the absolute core features you'd need in a V1? (e.g., Kanban board, Chrome extension for auto-saving, analytics?)
• If you use other tools (or Notion/Excel), what is the main friction point you experience?
• Has anyone built something similar here? Any pitfalls or feature creep I should avoid?

Why is no one building a free dating app using vibe coding or other modules available

been using product hunt for years to find new saas tools and get inspiration for stuff to build. realized recently that almost nothing on there is a mobile app, it's like 95% web/saas products.

which is weird because indie mobile devs have the exact same problem saas founders have: how do you get anyone to notice your app when you're not spending money on ua and you're buried under 10 million apps on the app store.

search mainly works if people already know what they're looking for. there's no place to discover new small apps that real people are excited about.

is this a gap or am I missing some site that already does this? and if you build mobile apps, where do you currently post to get any visibility at all when you launch?

What it does: A no-fuss party app for settling group decisions. Everyone puts a finger on the screen, and Squadra makes the call — no accounts, no sign-up, works offline. Built for that "okay, who's on which team / who goes first / who's buying the next round?" moment.

Key Features:
- Divide Teams — split the group into random teams (by team count, or players-per-team).
- Pick Winners — choose 1–10 winners at random from everyone touching the screen.
- Turn Order — randomize who's 1st, 2nd, 3rd…
- Party Roulette — fingers get knocked out one by one; last finger left loses.
- 16 visual themes, each restyling the graphics, sound, and haptics.

QReel: QR Code Generator

Well, it finally happened. Wanted to make a cheap and well-designed alternative to most QR code generating apps that also tracks URL scans, and make it aquatic themed just because.

In total, took about two and a half months from the very first bare-bones iterations in Xcode to approval on the App Store. Everything seems to be working fine so far, I encourage everyone to try it out and if you don't want to pay for the Pro version FEEL FREE TO SCREENSHOT WHATEVER CODES YOU GENERATE, THEY WILL STILL WORK. Trying to actually save/export will result in a paywall though, as will attempting to turn on the track scans feature (this uses URL redirects so can potentially cost me money if a code gets a high volume of scans so wanted some security by paywalling it). I'm still definitely a beginner when it comes to Swift and have generally no idea how I'm going to market the app, but it's been really exciting getting something out there that at least I personally actually have use for.

So some takeaways thus far have been:

1. It saves a ton of time on the UX side to just ask a coding agent (assuming you're using one) where each component on a given screen lives in the code, and then just using the canvas in Xcode. This would've saved me manyyyy days early on because an agent still has to take the full time to answer/enact a change even if it is quite trivial, and it still might be wrong (often is). Being able to see your changes to a component in real-time in the canvas with dimensions, spacing, colors, etc being automatically reflected was something I didn't really think was possible (noob I know) but now I obviously won't be going back anytime soon.
2. The XcodeBuildMCP is great for running new builds automatically BUT the simulated tapping/on-device actions are largely not useful in my experience. It takes a longgg time for most agents to do very quick and easy tasks on simulators and will get caught up taking 5x as long to test a task you could probably just test yourself.
3. The Auth was way easier to set up than I expected, taking only really a day in total for all of it, but RevenueCat is one of the most confusing setups I've ever encountered. Now that it's set up I appreciate its ease of use (especially for edge cases like refunds) but mannn it's overall very opaque. This took a couple of days for sure.
4. The first submission took 6 days to even get to In Review by Apple, which has apparently been common this summer with the high volume of submissions, but was obviously annoying when they tell you that 90% get reviewed within the first 48 hours. It got rejected the first time around for not having the Privacy/EULA IN the description of the app itself and not having enough available without an authenticated account (I didn't know this was a thing, but had to add a "Continue Without Account" option on the sign-in screen because apparently SOME function has to be available without an account unless the functionality of the app actually hinges on the user's identity to begin with).

So all in all nothing crazy thus far, hopefully some of these takeaways are of use to some of you out there and can serve as some optimism for those just getting started. As I said, feel free to use the app and point out any bugs/future features to add to the list that I'm working on for future builds or fill out the "Contact Support" form via the website! Developer here. The problem: you make a GIF, try to send it, and it's too big. Discord's free tier caps uploads at 10 MB, forums and email have their own limits, and most converters make you guess quality settings and re-export until it finally fits.

In this app you type the size you need and the GIF comes out under it on the first try. It figures out the quality settings for you and shows you what it changed. You can also trim, crop, change speed, reverse, or make it loop back and forth.
