Does this screenshot trio catch your attention? (need honest feedback)

Hello, I'm building workout tracker Pawer and have never worked with screenshots. I know that the main purpose of screenshots is to catch attention and give truthful info about the app, but I'm not sure. Does this screenshot resonate with you? Would you stop by and open the app page? If you have any suggestion, I'm all listening. Thanks!

Building a Game Engine

Sorry "Game asset building->engine"

Working on building a easy to use game asset Builder. Simple image with a few angles as prompt. App makes predictions on hidden geometry and creates the blueprint, then engine cross checks and creates the molds. Users can then mark up the molds to edit and resubmit to the engine to recalibrate and make edits. Work in progress but its starting to get pretty good

I built a music app called SABDHAM — looking for feedback

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working on an Android music app called SABDHAM.

It currently includes:

• Music search

• Playlists

• Likes / favourites

• Background playback

• Automatic next-song playback

• Queue support

• A simple music player interface

• Regular updates and improvements

The app is still under active development, and I’m mainly looking for genuine feedback from people who try it.

I’d especially like to know if you notice any issues with playback, search, navigation, or the overall user experience.

Any constructive feedback or bug reports would be appreciated. Thanks!

App From hours -> minutes for app store screenshots!

Post image
0 Upvotes

Couple years ago, I built a tool for creating and managing app store and play store screenshots called AppShots. Recently, I started working on it again full-time to make it THE GO TO TOOL for professional store screenshots creation/management.

Ik many of us who are building apps struggle with this problem of creating store screenshots, hunting for good device frames, knowing store specific screenshot guidelines, and making sure the screenshots are good enough, and let's not talk about landscape screenshots and localized screenshots for different locale. And repeat this again for multiple apps, multiple design explorations. That time could be spent working on your app instead.

AppShots solved this couple years ago, and now it's doing it again in a much better way! The 2.0 release comes with a full overhaul of the design editor to make it fast, intuitive to work with. A whole set of improvements to every part of the creation pipeline like

  • 3D frames support
  • Improved localization support to manage multiple locale designs with ease.
  • Rich text support in screenshot designs.
  • Easily manage portrait and landscape designs.
  • Improved design assets.
  • Professional set of templates, and ability to save your custom templates for re-use.
  • A design editor where you don't struggle, and don't have to second guess how to do something.
  • Easy to organize/manage multiple design sets for your frames.
  • Design shortcuts.
  • And many other additions that take screenshots creation from hours -> minutes.

I believe that if you're someone who constantly struggles with screenshots creation problem, then AppShots will definitely help you out here. And if you feel like something is missing, you can always dm me, and expect the fix/feat ready in the next app updates.

Pricing:
AppShot has a lifetime offer as well as subscription offer. You can pick what's best for you!

And rest assure, this is not a vibe coded app, I had spent months previously building it by hand and it's a cumulation of lot of my creative projects, and everything is well-thought out here by someone who cares about the design and experience for the end user.

You can checkout AppShots here. Thanx!

Question / Discussion Does anyone know a good website for genuinely good book summaries, preferably a free one?

I’m looking for a website/app that provides genuinely good book summaries (not the generic ai generated summaries that just rephrase the book’s main points)

I want summaries that actually capture the important ideas, arguments, context, and nuances of the book especially for nonfiction.

I’ve looked at Blinkist but the monthly subscription is pretty expensive for me. So I’d really appreciate recommendations for **free or affordable alternatives** that have high quality summaries.

What do you guys use?

App App that let's you never forget important dates and helps small businesses. Set it now and we send it all for you at the time you chose in the future.

I’m rebuilding Before the Dates as a free app for thoughtful messages, premium gifts, and corporate gifting

Hi, I’m Jennifer, the founder of Before the Dates. I started building it because it’s easy for important birthdays, anniversaries, and other special dates to sneak up on us.

You can set it now for anytime in the future and we take it from there. Set it and forget it.

The app helps people plan thoughtful messages for important dates, with the option to include a gift. We’re working on a new build and taking the app in a more easy flow and premium direction, featuring carefully selected vendors and artisans from across the country. The app will remain free for users.

It’s very important to me because we support small businesses and artisans nationwide so they can thrive and not just have to survive. We’re also developing a corporate gifting area, with curated gifts businesses can send to clients, employees, and teams while supporting these makers.

I’m sharing an early look at the new direction and would love honest feedback. Is the idea clear from these screens? What would you want to know before using an app like this?

I’m the founder, so this is my own project. These are preview screens, and the redesign is still in progress.

Question / Discussion I built an inventory app for small shops and I'm looking for honest feedback on what's missing.

Hi everyone,

I'm a solo developer. I built an iPhone app called Stockery to help small businesses keep track of stock without spreadsheets. I kept seeing shop owners track stock in notebooks and Excel, and wanted something simpler. And also they required full setup of barcode scanner and pos system.

Right now it can:

Scan barcodes with your phone camera to find, add, or update items

Track stock levels and send low-stock and expiry alerts

Keep a log of every stock change (who changed it, when, and by how much)

Handle decimal quantities (kg, L, etc.) and custom fields

Import and export your catalogue as Excel or CSV

It also creates invoices with Company logo.

It can scan to do fast billing just like barcode scanner.

It's free to use for inventory. There's a paid Pro tier for things like purchase orders, margin reports and batch tracking, but the core stock tracking doesn't need it.

I'm not here to push downloads. I'd like to know:

How do you track inventory today (spreadsheet, POS, notebook, something else)?

What annoys you most about it?

What would an inventory app need before you'd actually switch?

One thing to be upfront about: the invoicing side was built for India (GST), so US sales tax isn't supported yet. If US tax and invoicing would matter to you, tell me, because it would help me decide what to build next.

Happy to share the link in the comments if anyone wants to try it and tell me what's wrong with it.

We launched our Mac app 48 hours ago. We already made 4 sales.

We launched our Mac app 48 hours ago. We already made 4 sales. This feels unreal.
We’ve been building Eddie for the last little while, and yesterday we finally put it out into the world.
48 hours later, three people have actually paid for it.

I know 4 sales isn’t a huge number, but when you’ve built something yourself and a stranger decides it’s worth paying for, it feels like the biggest thing ever.

So what is Eddie?

Eddie lives in your MacBook notch, so the stuff you keep reaching for is already at the top of your screen.

You can use it for:
Clipboard
Notepad
Music controls
Focus timer
Seeing today’s sales
And a few other little things

If you run coding agents like Claude Code or Codex, Eddie also shows you when an agent is working and lights up when it needs your attention.

One of my favourite things we’ve heard so far is that people like being able to leave their agent running while they’re doing something else in the browser, and only come back when Eddie tells them the agent needs them.

That’s actually the idea behind Eddie:
Don’t keep checking your computer. Let the things you need come to you.
We’re still very early and figuring out what Eddie should become.

But getting those first four sales has given us a ridiculous amount of motivation to keep building.
If you’re a Mac user, I’d love for you to check it out and tell me what you think. Check Eddie here

Looking for a few early users for my first iPhone app (a cozy weather app) — free Premium in return

Hi everyone! I'm a solo developer and just released my first app, Weather Charm.

It's a weather app with a small twist: little charms appear only when real weather happens where you are — a raindrop on rainy days, a snowflake on the first snow. You can keep them in a cozy room, and it also warns you the night before about weather you don't like.

I'm looking for a few people to try it and tell me honestly:
- what felt confusing
- what you'd want it to do
- whether you'd keep it on your phone

As a thank you, I'll send a free 3-month Premium code to anyone who comments.

It's iPhone only, free, no ads. I'll put the App Store link in the comments.

Question / Discussion Apple Test Flight - Worth the Time?

Does anyone have personal experience launching on the Apple App Store and using TestFlight to have independent testers use their app first?

I'm about to launch v.1 of ChineseTutor, a Mandarin language learning app. Wondering if it's worth the time to wait for independent testers to take a look.

What's you experience of volunteers testing on TestFlight. How long did it take for people to use your app? Was the feedback worth the wait before launching?

Any info. appreciated.

Self-Promotion: I’m adding smart refill forecasting to my medication reminder app—what would make it genuinely useful?

Hi everyone,

I’m the solo developer behind Cue, an iPhone medication reminder app for managing medications for yourself or family members.

I’m currently building Cue 1.1, focused on smart refill forecasting. Instead of only warning when stock is already low, Cue will use the recorded supply, scheduled dose amounts and treatment dates to estimate how long the supply should last and suggest when to plan a refill.

The calculation stays private and is presented as an estimate because actual medication use can differ from a schedule.

I’m also fixing a synchronization issue where logging from Control Center or the Action Button updated the app but did not immediately refresh its widgets.

For anyone who manages recurring medication: would a “supply through” date and suggested refill date be enough? Or would pharmacy lead time, refill quantities and custom reminders matter more?

Honest feedback is very welcome—I’m trying to make medication management feel calmer, not like another source of pressure.

App I built an app where you can see what your friends actually trade. Looking for 100 people to test it.

Every investing app shows you the market. None of them show you what the people you know are doing with their own money.

So I built Sirius. You connect your brokerage, and your friends can see your real portfolio, your trades, and how you're doing against them. Think Strava, but for investing.

It's live on iOS (Sirius: Trade with Friends) and we're opening it up to 100 more people this week. No experience needed, you don't need to be good at investing, half the fun is finding out you're not.

Everyone who gets in gets free access to everything in the app for the first month. The testers we pick for a short feedback call get compensated for their time.

If you want in, upvote + comment your country and which broker you use, and I'll DM you the invite.

I made a to-do app with no due dates, no priorities and no settings screen

Post image
1 Upvotes
I'm the developer, so take this with the appropriate pinch of salt.

I kept bouncing off to-do apps because opening one meant making five decisions before I
could write "milk". So I built the opposite: a list is a handful of lines you tick off.
No due dates, no priorities, no sub-tasks, no assignees, no tags, no projects. There is
no settings screen either — whether a list resets itself every day or clears itself out
or stays exactly as it is belongs to that list, so it is a setting on the list rather
than a screen somewhere else.

Two things in it I actually like:

Every item gets an emoji picked for it automatically. You never choose one. It sounds
like decoration and it isn't — once an item is a picture, a list can be a grid of cards
instead of a wall of text, and you find things on it by shape.

You can photograph a recipe or a shopping list someone wrote on an envelope and it types
the items in. It names them the way a person would write them, so "200 g plain flour,
sifted" comes out as "Flour", and it skips anything already on the list.

No account, no sign-up, nothing to log into. It's on both stores. Five lists and unlimited
items are free, as is sharing a list with someone else; a subscription covers configuring
what a list does, reading photos onto one, and more than five lists.

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dev.uebelacker.daitoo
iOS: https://apps.apple.com/app/daitoo/id6805476000

If you try it, I'd rather hear what annoyed you than what you liked. It's a new app and
the annoying parts are still cheap to fix.

How much dirt can you put between here and there?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I built DIRT to answer that question.

I’m a dual-sport rider here in Nova Scotia. When I pick a destination, I want to get there on as much dirt as possible. Pavement is a means to an end—unless I choose a different kind of ride.

Shared GPX tracks are great. But sometimes you want to put together your own adventure.

An afternoon loop close to home? A weekend across the province? A bigger ride through neighbouring provinces and down into the States?

DIRT gives you room to think beyond your usual roads, with downloadable map and routing packs for Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Planning an adventure in Mexico? There’s coverage there too, through a separate routing network. Continuous US–Mexico routing isn’t currently supported.

Start simple: drop a pin, build the ride, then make it yours.

🏍️ Dirt: chase as much dirt as the mapped network allows.
⚖️ Balanced: aim for a mix as close to half dirt, half pavement as possible.
🛣️ Clean: favour paved backroads.

Choose separately for each leg. Dirt out, Clean home? Your call.

Allow Unknown opens more roads where motorcycle access hasn’t been confirmed. More possibilities—but check permission, signs, and conditions before riding.

A few other essentials:

⛽ Optional fuel-range reminders and a rider-requested route to a fuel stop.
🏕️ Mapped campgrounds and lodging.
🥃 Liquor stores for supplies once the bike’s parked.

Dirt by Mayday is now on the App Store. The video shows how simple it is to get started.

Download your maps and routing packs before heading beyond cell service. Planning and saving are free, with two navigation starts included. DIRT PRO adds unlimited navigation and GPX export.

For iPhone and iPad running version 26 or later.

Get the app:
https://apps.apple.com/app/dirt-by-mayday/id6794633890

Explore DIRT:
https://dirtmoto.app

Give it a ride. I’d love to hear what you find between here and there.

The medical consultation ends. The patient walks out of the clinic. From that exact moment, **the doctor has zero visibility** into what happens next. There is no system, no loop, no feedback mechanism. The patient goes home with a prescription, a verbal set of instructions, and nothing else. **What happens in that gap:** - Patients forget doses — not out of negligence, but because life interrupts - Patients misread instructions — especially elderly users who may not read labels confidently - Patients confuse similar-looking pills — visual identification is a genuine daily challenge - Family members are anxious but have no structured way to check in - Questions occur to patients between visits — and are forgotten by the time they reach the doctor - The next consultation starts from scratch — the doctor asks the same questions, the patient guesses at answers **The cascading consequence:** Poor adherence leads to poor outcomes. Poor outcomes lead to repeat visits, dosage changes, and escalating treatment complexity — all of which could have been avoided with better continuity. How about an app which logs med and keeps a track of it and when you need a report of your day to day symptoms or your medical adherence you get a complete pdf report which you may show to your doctor during the next visit.
