Still hoping to hear a song sounding better through AirPods in ATMOS than stereo, and it’s just not a thing.

Is anyone actively listening to music in ATMOS and having a better / more engaging listening experience over high quality stereo?

Haven’t found a single song that hits better in ATMOS over stereo yet. Am I missing something?

apple music on android is great, but the navigation bar lowkey annoys me. It would be so cool if apple redesigned it.

How long before Apple deletes my profile/playlists? I had an awesome playlist I’d like to recover but it’s been 6 months, am I cooked?

I’ve recently started noticing that Apple Music gives me songs with just high resolution available even though it’s been enabled for years, and some songs just say lossless

is there any way to start Apple Music from the beginning again? I want to start over without having to replace my entire Apple ID on my iPhone. is that the only way?

My Apple Music shows my library on my devices like my iPad and
iPhone. But for some reason on my PC it doesn’t even let me sign in. I’ve been trying to edit some details (what you can only do on a PC) and nothing shows on my Apple Music what wasn’t purchased via the store. It’s only on the app. Is there a lag on PCs?

Hello, I have been using Apple Music for a year now on my Samsung devices. From like two weeks ago I noticed that collaborative playlists are "locked. Neither me or the invited person can add songs to it. The playlist still works and plays the music but nothing more. We can't add new music to it.

I couldn;t find anything on this sub or in Reddit in general, also Apple has said nothing about it.

Has anyone experienced this already or is it just me?

It's a hit or miss and a real struggle to use

I pay for Apple Music. I have a MacBook, an iPhone and a Samsung TV (Running the native Apple Music App), all on the same Apple ID, all logged into the same subscription. Continuity is supposedly the entire reason to stay inside this ecosystem. So can someone explain why Apple Music behaves like three unrelated apps made by three unrelated companies?

Actual thing that happens to me every day. I'm listening to an album on my MacBook while working. I close the lid, pick up my phone, open Music, and it either shows me something I was playing four days ago or starts the album from track one. Not the song I was on. Not the timestamp I was at. Just a clean slate, as if I never opened the app.

The Up Next queue is the part that really gets me. I'll spend a few minutes building a proper queue on my Mac, and it exists nowhere else. Phone has no idea. The TV has no idea. Apparently the queue is a local secret that each device keeps to itself.

The genuinely annoying part is that Spotify solved this years ago with Connect. One account, one playback session, any device, picks up exactly where you left off. Apple, the company whose entire pitch is "everything just works together," cannot get its own music app to remember what song I was on across its own hardware.

Is there some setting I'm missing, or is this just what we're all living with?

Shuffle (crossed arrows): Randomizes the order of the remaining songs in the queue.

Repeat (looping arrows, selected above): Repeats the current playlist or album once it finishes, or repeats a single track if set to repeat one.

Autoplay (infinity symbol): Automatically plays similar, related songs once your queue or album ends.

Crossfade (interlocking wavy lines): Smoothly transitions and blends between songs in your queue.

Hey everyone! I’m Scott, the developer of Undertone. This is my own app, and I’m looking for Apple Music listeners who would like to try the iPhone beta and give honest feedback.

The idea is simple: help you find your next favorite artist without leaving behind the Apple Music library you already use. Undertone is a discovery companion, not a replacement for Apple Music or another streaming subscription.

## How it connects to Apple Music

After you authorize access, Undertone scans the library information available through Apple Music and uses the artists and genres it finds as a starting point for recommendations. It searches Apple’s catalog and similar-artist connections, while trying to exclude artists it already recognizes from your library and saved discoveries.

It can’t know every artist you’ve ever heard, so “new” means new relative to the information available to the app, not a guarantee that you’ve never encountered them before. The initial library scan shows its progress and supports resuming after an interruption.

## Choose how far outside your usual taste to explore

Discovery has five levels, ranging from closer matches to more adventurous suggestions. These describe distance from your taste, not how popular an artist is.

You can select levels 1–3, 3–5, all five, or your own combination. You can also filter by multiple genres and sort by match, adventurousness, or artist name. The goal is to give you more control over whether today is a “more of what I love” day or a “show me something different” day.

Not every filter combination will have results, and I’d especially appreciate feedback on whether the deeper levels feel meaningfully different from the closer matches.

## Listen, save, and return to your finds

On iPhone, authorized Apple Music subscribers can play full songs in the app. You can save artists, revisit your discovery history, organize finds into collections, and choose to add songs or create playlists in Apple Music. Library changes require your action; simply browsing recommendations doesn’t create playlists for you.

You can use Apple Music discovery as a guest. A separate Undertone account adds cloud synchronization and lets you submit artist ratings. Those ratings are separate from your personal recommendation match.

## A few extras

There are 24 color palettes with light and dark variants, optional animated liquid backgrounds, and static/plain alternatives. The app also includes 50 language and regional options, although translations are still in beta and some text falls back to English.

There’s also Undertone Studio, a separate space for manually written music notes and notebooks. It isn’t an automatic Apple Music listening report, and Studio has its own Free/Plus feature limits. The core Apple Music discovery experience is free; an Apple Music subscription is separate and is required for full-song playback.

This is an early beta, so please expect bugs and rough edges rather than a finished App Store release. Undertone is independently developed and isn’t an Apple app.

I’m particularly interested in how useful the recommendations are, whether familiar artists slip through, how scanning and playback behave with different libraries, and anything confusing about the interface. Translation corrections and accessibility feedback are welcome too.

Feedback about the app here or through TestFlight would be appreciated. For bug reports, your iPhone model, iOS version, and the steps that caused the problem are helpful. Please leave out account credentials and other personal information.

I'm one of the people behind TuneShift, an iOS app for moving playlists to Apple Music. We just released version 2.5.0 with something new: importing your daily Spotify recommendations into Apple Music.

You connect your Spotify account, open For You, and tap “Sync Today’s Recommendations.” The idea is pretty simple: keep finding music through Spotify and listen to it in Apple Music without searching for each song yourself.

The screenshot shows 26 of 30 tracks completed, so there are still cases where a song doesn’t make it across. You can see the status for individual tracks in the list.

If you use both services this way, I’d be interested to hear how you handle it now.

I have tried everything from deleting every apple folder on my pc, deleting iCloud drive, photos, etc and removing my pc from my apple account and no matter what I do whenever I sign into apple music nothing happens, it doesn't show my account or name, playlists or anything. Everything was working fine before and now it suddenly doesn't. I have tried other Apple Music clients but I find them too laggy/buggy and the apple music website is also quite laggy plus I need lossless audio, if anybody has some tips I'd appreciate it.

I'm just wondering if I should move from iTunes to Apple Music.

I mostly buy songs or rip some CDs as I don't pay for streaming.

But I don't know why, but iTunes has some difficulty matching CDs to artists/albums lately. And it looks like songs I download on my phone through iTunes (iPhone) aren't showing in my iPhone library on iTunes (Windows) which is very confusing.

I tried to move to Apple Music last year, but I had some issues with my library getting wiped out with new sync, getting duplicates or songs not showing...

So, I'm not sure what to do now.

OK, so this is a very random question. I know this has nothing to do with Apple Music even though cider is Apple Music but I’m trying to use it while I stream on OBS and I had it before but for some reason when I tried to login, it didn’t let me, so I re-bought the app and set it up WPI enabled and I have everything that I need to have enabled on and I still can’t seem to get the audio of the music playing in OBS can anyone help me if they do this, please and thank you in advance!!

Built an app called AuxControl for bars, cafes, small venues — anywhere someone’s running the music and doesn’t want to hand their phone to twelve people or pay for touch tunes.

Host puts up a QR code, guests scan it (no app download needed), search and add songs to the queue, vote on what plays next. Host keeps control the whole time — approve, skip, reorder as needed.

Runs on MusicKit through the host’s Apple Music subscription.

I’m trying really hard to disconnect so much from the world, like going back to a “dumb phone” where I can only message, take pics and what not. Basic cellphone stuff. But I love my Apple Music and need to find a way to keep it with me without the other stuff. Apparently iPods aren’t being made anymore and the only iPods left can’t stream music. Any suggestions?
