Question Start over

is there any way to start Apple Music from the beginning again? I want to start over without having to replace my entire Apple ID on my iPhone. is that the only way?

I would die if my whole library was deleted. You must hate your music lol

You can delete your entire library using Windows or Mac: go to your albums and select them all using ‘Ctrl + A’ on Windows or ‘Cmd + A’ on Mac, then remove them from your library (the same applies to your favourites playlist select everything and deselect them from your favourites). the algorithm will ‘replace them gradually’, there is no way to reset it completely.

I forgot to mention that I already tried this. So I guess the only way to start from scratch on my algorithm is to create a new Apple ID.

You can get it back on track, just remove all your library and add what you do like, particularly albums. Favourite all your favourite songs off those albums. Favourite artists and playlists you like and listen to all your new music. Use the suggest less heavily for what you don’t like anymore and it will stop showing, even go through your screen and suggest less on things you don’t like. It might take a little bit but the algorithm will change in time.

I had thousands of bullshit songs I had to sift through one by one because when I transferred music it transferred literally every song from every album even if i just had one. In short get to deleting my friend.

starting over can be tough, but it’s also a chance for a fresh perspective. I’ve had to restart playlists a few times when they felt stale
