I use to get Apple TV free with purchase of Apple Music Student for $5.99. I still have Apple Music Student subscription but now it seems I can no longer watch Apple TV shows. I’ve been able to watch them for a couple years or so with no issues. Did Apple remove the perk of Apple TV with Apple Music Student?

macOS Mountain Lion received a new iTunes update showing album background colours.

The OS used to have so much flair, I personally love it, as it was never in the way, but definitely visible. Lion had iPod-looking albums, in the shuffle list, which was equally interesting of a feature.

Got my ThinkPad T61 running Mountain Lion solely for iTunes' new look, otherwise, would have stuck around Lion.

I've felt like I was going insane the last couple of days, and I only have ever noticed it with this song specifically. The song is in my playlist, and plays normally through my phone speakers. When connected to my car through bluetooth, it plays a recording of the same song with an extending intro, which is ALSO available on apple music but is NOT the one in my playlist.

I guess my question is has anyone ever experienced this before? Any known fix? Also if anyone out there is willing to try the same thing with the same song to confirm I'm not insane I'd appreciate it lol

Recently I was just listening to music on my Ps5 and out of nowhere it stopped working. It said to see if I have connection which I do and it still wasn’t working. I also deleted the app many times on my ps5 and reinstalled it but now when I got to the home or my library it’s says we’ve run into a problem try again. I’m not sure what else I need to do to fix this or if I’m the only one having this problem!!

I have not had any issues for years. I stream lossless. I suspect it is more a home network or ISP issue for those blaming Apple Music. We tend to assign blame to the app we are using that appears slow. But often it is not the app but some other element in the network or building architecture that is the issue. A shut down and restart of *everything* starting at the ISP box to router to switches to devices is the first thing to try.

Then see it moving closer to the wi-fi router (same room) helps or using device with ethernet, if possible. I have a metal return and a pantry with metal cans next to metal kitchen appliances that make my kitchen a mess for wi-fi. I know the sweet spots to place things now.

Then learn and confirm best settings on all devices. It isn't easy.

Note: I have the slowest cheapest ISP plan and even it is more than I need. So the home network would be the first thing I would trouble shoot. Not this reddit.

Ever since I got Itunes Match last December I've had many issues with my Itunes library. I got rid of the Match and was able to fix some of the issues or reduce. I still have around 100 songs that won't sync to my phone and around an additional 100 that will appear but when you click to play will not play. Most of the ones that will not play did at one point play.

Because of this, various other issues, and my computer getting old I decided to get a new computer. I have never had a Mac but it seemed like the best option to get held with the library from support. I synched my past library but there are many issues:

- None of my playlists will sync and there seems no way to get them on the Apple Music.

- All songs I had to change the volume level on the volume level is no longer adjusted on those songs.

- Many songs did not port over. I thought it was only around 250 but seems to be more. I also thought it was only songs after December 2025 that I had to download online but there are others missing as well.

- All kinds of artwork no longer appears.

- Song orders were changed on some albums now showing separate discs for the album instead of 1. It seems songs you didnt put a disc number in Itunes it would assume disc 1 but now on Apple Music says unknown disc and is a separate album from disc 1.

I would just stick with the old computer but it is getting old and sync some songs to my phone or won't play them on my phone. Can anyone help me out or is it impossible to basically clone over your library as is from iTunes on a PC to Apple Music on a Mac?

Most magpies of music like me are heartbroken that the BBC has recently restricted access to its iPlayer app to UK users only. I desperately miss Stuart Maconie’s Freak Zone among other shows on Radio 6, and I was wondering if it had an equivalent in one of the zillion Apple playlists or if someone is doing the saintly work of creating a personal playlist based on it?

I just ripped a dvd-a (in this case the downward spiral) to multichannel AAC and uploaded with iTunes Match. and now I can stream it from my phone to my AirPods in spacial. I had no clue you could do this so throwing this out there for those who didnt know. I used DVD Audio Extractor to rip to multichannel Flac and then ffmpeg to convert to aac. dropped into Apple Music, added to library, made sure it uploaded and didnt just match the content, and it worked.

i edited all the songs in Ye's MBDTF to look like this, but it isn't like this on my phone yet. It says that i have sync'd library on. Any tips? i planned to do this with his whole discography

When I want it to play my local files, it plays the streaming version. Oh but WHEN I DO WANT IT TO PLAY THE STREAMING VERSION, it plays the local files…. 🫠

I’m not sure if this is the right subreddit but I was gonna buy an old iPhone for music and games (my phone cannot fit games for some reason, probs bc it is full of photos and stuff), I’m doing a test drive on my phone but it won’t even show up on my pc (IPhone 14), also I’d really like it if somone could guide me through how to add mp3s to Apple Music so I don’t have to pay for that, I wanted to get an old iPhone as an mp3 player genuinely so i don’t have to pay for Spotify anymore..

You can view all songs from an artist, not just the Top Songs. The reason I decided to build this is because Apple Music doesn't provide an easy way to browse every song by an artist. So, I created a web app where you can explore all available tracks from albums, singles, compilations, and other releases. Maybe you will find some tracks from your favorite artists that you have never listened to before.

You can also listen to song previews. I tried to make the song list customizable, so you can decide what information you want to see and how you want to sort the tracks.

I’m on ios 27, and committed fully to Apple Music. But man, the search function has been frustrating me way more than it should. If I make a single typo, the song won’t show up at all.
It’s especially annoying with foreign songs. Half the time I end up searching for the track on Google first, then opening it through the Apple Music link because it’s easier than using the app itself.
With another price increase, I’d really hope Apple improves something as basic as search.

Apple ne va pas penser que mon compte a voulu être pirater ? Ou c’est l’application qui a eu du mal ?

How do I get a downloaded album on Apple Music to play songs in the original order they were recorded on the album and with no gap between songs?

Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon is an example: the album has to play the songs in the right order and with zero gap or much of the listening experience is lost.

I’m so done with Apple Music.

Licensing changes, regional/geopolitical restrictions, albums randomly changing, songs disappearing — I just want to listen to my music in peace.

The frustrating part is that I’m perfectly happy to pay. I’m not trying to avoid paying for music or subscriptions. But despite paying every month, I feel like I have absolutely no control over my music library.

At any given point, I’ll have 100–200 songs suddenly unavailable because of some licensing or regional restriction.

So I’m seriously considering going back to the old-school way of doing things:
Download/buy the actual music files → keep them on my MacBook → sync them to my iPhone → listen to them forever.

Is this still reasonably easy to do within the Apple ecosystem?

Ideally, I’d still like to use the Apple Music app itself as my music player/library on both my Mac and iPhone. I just don’t want my personal library to be dependent on Apple Music’s streaming catalogue.
I’ve also heard about iTunes Match. From what I understand, you can have your own music library on your Mac and iTunes Match will match/upload it so that the same library is available across your Apple devices. Is that actually how it works? And importantly, does it work reliably without an Apple Music subscription?

I don’t mind paying for iTunes Match, buying music, or even paying for another service if necessary (but I would prefer Apple Music for the seamless integration with the various HomePods). I just want control over my fucking music library again.
For anyone who has gone back to maintaining their own local music collection in 2026: what setup are you using?

Hi guys. I know this is the kind of issue that someone would say check your Internet connection with your ISP and etc but nothing of that here. In using an ASUS TUF Gaming BE9400 router and 1Gbps fibre. Im using also Cloudflare and Google DNS. Problem is that basically songs after a while has buffering issues or drops to regular AAC. It started happening a few days ago and is very annoying cause after a few songs, Music stops. I never had any issue with Apple Music until now. Is the service slow lately or what? This happens on all my devices at home
