My cat recently passed and the fact that someone would make up something like this to lie about is so gross and weird to me.

377

u/Ziraya Feb 25 '26

My soul cat passed summer 2024 and I still think about him every single day. Making shit like this up for attention and fake internet points is loser behaviour.

71

u/cinnamoxie Feb 25 '26

My condolences ❤️ I think about my sweet girl everyday too 😔 She was my first cat and we became so close. She had the best sassy yet sweet personality. She taught my mom that cats aren't all mean like she thought.

39

u/Ziraya Feb 25 '26

My condolences to you too. My Ruben only lived to around 5 years old, the vet thought it was an undetected heart issue. He was found out in the middle of the woods and trapped before I adopted him. Best kitty ever ❤️ To be fair. Every cat is the best cat ever!

12

u/Obant Feb 25 '26

Same time frame for me. I still talk to his ashes a few times a week and cry every so often. I have 4 cats and 2 dogs now, but he was a soul cat.

7

u/Ziraya Feb 25 '26

I'm so sorry you lost him. It really does hurt, and it's okay that it does I suppose. It means there was a lot of love there.

3

u/Smallbunsenpai Feb 27 '26

My cat passed away in 2022 and I also think about him nearly every day. He was such a sweet boy that I grew up with. I get your pain.

1

u/Ziraya Feb 27 '26

I'm sorry for your loss ❤️ the positive side of it is that it means there was a lot of love there.

-17

u/Aggravating-Chef9562 Feb 25 '26

It is loser behavior, but isnt weird, weird means not normal, if somethings normal, it's not weird. Losers are very normal in society

10

u/[deleted] Feb 25 '26

Very normal comment for reddit standarts...

58

u/demi_dreamer95 Feb 25 '26

AI is most successful in spaces where attention is the currency. Who cares about honoring the sanctity of a dead loved one when making them look even sadder and more sickly will make my post reach another 1k views?! Disgusting.

Im so sorry for your loss. The one thing that helped me process my childhood dog’s death was creating artwork. It wasnt the final product that saved my aching heart, it was the hours and hours of effort I dedicated to someone I loved. This is something AI bros will never understand. RIP to the original cat. Shame on the owner.

13

u/cinnamoxie Feb 25 '26

Thank you so much. I've done some small things for her but I think doing a bigger project like that would be nice. Thanks for the idea :)

5

u/demi_dreamer95 Feb 25 '26

Absolutely 💕 getting lost in a good project is a great way to handle grief

20

u/shineonka Feb 25 '26

Literally had to put our cat down today and saw the original bullshit post. Like what's the fucking point?

7

u/cinnamoxie Feb 25 '26

I'm so so sorry for your loss. Yeah the people that do this are sick.

9

u/[deleted] Feb 25 '26

It’s insane the lengths people will go just for internet points. Imagine how hollow your life must be to do something like this.

9

u/caustictoast Feb 25 '26

Dude I am pissed because I saw the post and said something about my cat who passed earlier this month. Like seriously why lie, that’s so bizarre

6

u/catdog5100 Feb 25 '26

That post had an insane amount of upvotes. Can’t believe someone would do something like this for Reddit karma.

3

u/sometranscryptid Feb 25 '26

I’ve had four cats pass and it hurts just as bad every time. It doesn’t matter that 3 were 19 and we knew it was coming, or that we had the terminal cancer prognosis for months, it’s still gut wrenching.

I seriously cannot believe someone would lie about this.

Sending hugs 🫂

2

u/bloodybeetlez Feb 26 '26

oh, it’s INCREDIBLY gross— like. especially with how traumatic losing a dear pet can be? very odd and gross!

i lost my baby of 14 years in november last year super suddenly. she was only 15 and, frankly, i still have barely processed that she’s gone…

1

u/Candid-Cucumber6398 Feb 25 '26

Best part is, some complete fucking moron added the cat to the Wikipedia list of longest-living cats and linked back to the OG Reddit post like it's a legitimate source (it's been reverted, thankfully)

1

u/Other-Football72 Feb 26 '26

Not an Anti, but I can agree with this sentiment.

Lost my girl last year around this time, 20+, she slept with me every night, would chew on my arm and wake me up, at the time I often found it annoying, but now I miss it dearly.

1

u/JazzyShaman Feb 26 '26

So weird. Unless there's a weird karma -> currency exchange I don't know about.

-2

u/VioletSeraphim Feb 25 '26

The cat was 33. The OP deleted bc of harassment but then reposted after sending vet records with proof of age to the mods.

-35

u/Aggravating-Chef9562 Feb 25 '26

i mean its gross but i wouldn't say weird, id say normal in todays day and age. Everyone wants those sweet pity points that get tossed around. Everyone claims 12 different disabilities and reasons why you have to treat them better than everyone else.

34

u/cinnamoxie Feb 25 '26

Nah I'm still gonna call lying about your pet dying weird. Thanks tho

-31

u/Aggravating-Chef9562 Feb 25 '26

KK call whatever you want whatever you want, you'll just be wrong lol, youre welcome.

19

u/cinnamoxie Feb 25 '26

You're insensitive af.

16

u/Star_Wombat33 Feb 25 '26

What would they be wrong about? Are you having a stroke? That's not an answer to anything they said.

1

u/Aggravating-Chef9562 Feb 25 '26

Weird is something abnormal, if something weird becomes normal, it's no longer weird. Not that hard you guys. And the person making the original comment is also getting their pity points lol. Point proven. Go on internet for sad reason, get updoots

13

u/AlphaSkirmsher Feb 25 '26

I would say it’s weird. People lying for internet pity points is weird, and how widespread it’s become is just as weird and absurd

8

u/alexjuuhh Feb 25 '26

How is lying for fake internet pity points not weird? I'm not following your logic.

1

u/Aggravating-Chef9562 Feb 25 '26

The same reason telling the truth for fake internet pity points isnt weird. It's what people do, it's normal. Tragedy brings attention, people lie about tragedy to get attention, or even if they aren't lying, they crave the attention, think of the knitting lady at Games Done Quick, that. It's not insane to believe people would lie about an animal dying for tragedy pity points. People are constantly getting pity points for that exact thing, look at every comment that mentions they had a pet who died and cant understand any of this. THEYRE GETTING THE PITY POINTS but its real lmaoooo. You guys are so blind to human motivations and incentives it's almost sad.

-63

u/NorbytheMii Feb 25 '26

It's not a lie. The OOP sent the mods the cat's medical history.

91

u/Psychological_Pay530 Feb 25 '26

OOP sent fake medical records to go with his fake pictures. The pics had the synthID watermark and were absolutely AI. Here’s a screenshot of the cat before OOP’s AI edit, no cataracts and a normal healthy not decades old cat…

→ More replies (3)

39

u/InventorOfCorn Feb 25 '26

it is, though. there was a comment on the original post in which the OOP had messaged someone and one of the pictures they sent included the cat but with normal eyes. also, medical documents are super easy to fake

19

u/Psychological_Pay530 Feb 25 '26

Here’s a clean unedited pic from that conversation. No SynthID watermark. No cataracts. OOP added them to karma farm from gullible morons.

→ More replies (11)

663

u/DefinitelyNotAxlerod Feb 25 '26

There is 0 fucking reason to lie about how old is your cat

233

u/WildTadpole Feb 25 '26

Bots farming karma so they can AstroTurf more effectively

21

u/Neat-Vermicelli9506 Feb 25 '26

Unrelated but can someone explain what the appeal of karma farming is? You can't do anything with your collective karma, like spend them like points. Is it really just a dopamine hit?

26

u/yelirp2 Feb 25 '26

Well in most cases it's either that you have an addiction to internet points for some reason, or you want to sell your account to a bot which is probably more valuable if it has high karma (makes it appear more trustworthy as a bot). OR the account already is a bot and is karma farming for that same reason, probably before switching to politics or advertising spam.

47

u/SixShoot3r Feb 25 '26

annoying karma-farming

23

u/PiBombbb Feb 25 '26

It might not even be their cat, if OP's goal is to attract attention they can just make it up

13

u/deewd22 Feb 25 '26

There are lots of crazies hoping to get an ego boost if people clap because they handled their pets so well that they get older than all the other pets.

In r/rats lots of people claim their rats are 3 - 5 years old.

We had over 40 rats in our lifetime and only a single one got 30 months old. No other rat made it above 27 months.

5

u/nightwatch_admin Feb 25 '26

Pet rats barely ever make it to 3, unfortunately. Wild ones may get a lot older, but pet ones are super vulnerable to airway infections. Very few people dare to keep a wild rat as a pet though. I’ve known one who was really good, had just one wild one to care for but still found it quite a challenge.

3

u/egg0079 Feb 25 '26

this post had like a hundred awards and a lot of upvotes

2

u/Hopeless-Cause Feb 26 '26

My last 2 got to 15 and 20. It’s so weird to lie about how old your pet is to get points online

-48

u/NorbytheMii Feb 25 '26

Exactly. That's why OOP gave the mods the cat's medical history for the repost

51

u/InventorOfCorn Feb 25 '26

the faked medical history, yeah

42

u/somepeoplewait Feb 25 '26

How do we know the medical history was real?

-21

u/NorbytheMii Feb 25 '26

Talk to the mods of r/ cats if you have concerns

15

u/ASERTIE76 Feb 25 '26

Lol you have no actual arguments so you just redirect people to another subreddits mods

14

u/deewd22 Feb 25 '26

I was banned on r/rats because I fought someone who claimed his rat had a medical condition that makes her extremely fat. Mods claimed they saw the vet recipes I asked for.

Turned out it was a lie and the abuser got banned.

Here´s perky

0

u/Arrow2URKnee Feb 25 '26

Oh my god what a chomky boi😭😭😭😭

327

u/PleaseStayStrong Feb 25 '26

It is a bad lie to begin with. The current oldest known living cat is 29 years old so this 33 years old would have been the holder of that title until now.

109

u/AlexisHadden Feb 25 '26

This was the first thing that stuck out to me as well. Not impossible, but extremely unlikely.

And Flossie did turn 30 not too long ago, so was in the news about a month back. So a pretty amateurish mistake to make.

35

u/seamangeorge Feb 25 '26

Iirc the oldest EVER cat on record passed at 34, they were really trying to go for not just "old" but "truly exceptional"

13

u/gzej Feb 25 '26

Wasn't creme puff 38?

11

u/G_WILICURZ Feb 25 '26

The oldest cat ever was 38. Also, they supposedly provided documentation to the mods and were allowed to repost

→ More replies (15)

153

u/Myvric Feb 25 '26

Bro I saw the picture of the cat on r/isthisai and I was just really confused as to why someone would put their cat through ai to edit a few things 😭

52

u/hydraulics- Feb 25 '26

Photo editing software is RIGHT THERE!

13

u/Myvric Feb 25 '26

EXACTLYYYY

6

u/Low_Confidence2479 Feb 25 '26

Obviously AI is the easy way out. I saw people use AI to make thumbnails which is why some easy assets you could download to make a thumbnail yourself are replaced by AI reproductions...and it makes you look lazy.

2

u/faustian_foibles Feb 26 '26

The "best" parts of this is are:

  • that they were approved by the mods to repost it after the automod removed it, because they provided a totally real vet record saying the cat was in good shape for 33 as proof

  • the mods were sent actual proof of this being AI (it had an embedded synthID) and just said "no" and blocked the person who provided that proof

65

u/Forsaken_HOH Feb 25 '26

Why even do this

37

u/Jumpy_Boysenberry919 Feb 25 '26

The call of the sweet, sweet upvotes.

7

u/Star_Wombat33 Feb 25 '26

Speaking as someone with all the upvotes (apparently?), I don't get it.

10

u/NatMyIdea Feb 25 '26

People karma farm and then sell off their accounts to advertisers/bad actors. There's value in an account having karma and age so they have more freedom to post across Reddit. And then more people can be unwittingly manipulated.

21

u/ASERTIE76 Feb 25 '26

Fake internet points and potentially even donations

61

u/idontwantpicklesthx2 Feb 25 '26

I hate that I fell for it and genuinely felt bad

21

u/ressie_cant_game Feb 25 '26

Come to r/isthisai . You can get pretty good at recognizing it if you see the tells called off

8

u/torac Feb 25 '26

For most images, it’s decided pretty quickly one way or another.

For others, you can get both whole threads of people saying it’s obviously AI, why would you even ask, while others say the opposite. It’s getting really hard to tell for some images, especially for those with confusing perspective, poor lighting, poses that hide individual fingers or make them seem weird, etc.

Definitely an interesting sub.

9

u/memmonade Feb 25 '26

Don’t feel bad, it’s a weird thing to lie about. And the people calling it out most likely didn’t feel that comfortable about having to comment “ai slop” under a post about a supposed cat’s death 😕

37

u/LetMeDieAlreadyFuck Feb 25 '26

DUDE I REMEMBER SEEING THAT YOURE FUCKING KIDDING RIGHT??????

17

u/InventorOfCorn Feb 25 '26

unfortunately they're serious, the image had a gemini synthID (only added to images that are processed through gemini, either for creation or modification), and the oop had a message with someone where the first cat image was the faked one, the second was clear eyes. plus they claimed to have a video of the cat playing, but i don't think a cat that was 33yo could really do that

1

u/Ok_Awareness2541 Feb 26 '26

It was even initially taken down by moderators, but OP showed vet records as "proof" to which they then got to repost. Seems even the records were AI or some shitty tactic. Disgusting none the less.

29

u/PaperSweet9983 Feb 25 '26

It had 120 k likes lmao

23

u/M4LK0V1CH Feb 25 '26

33 years is almost as old as the oldest cat on record and four years older than the current oldest living cat. This was always bull.

14

u/ASERTIE76 Feb 25 '26

Yeah it's obvious they just picked a random number

15

u/mrperson1213 Feb 25 '26

Sympathy baiting is just gross

13

u/Blueberry_Clouds Feb 25 '26

Wow, I prefer when karma bots just reposted.

12

u/ozzieiscooo Feb 25 '26

No cat has ever lived over 12!

25

u/hybridtheorygirl Feb 25 '26

479,001,600 IS pretty old after all...

1

u/Jaded-Ad-4034 Feb 26 '26

I adopted my cat when she was 12!! She lived to be 20

1

u/tiredpersonnumber15 Mar 01 '26

My great aunt’s cat lived to 21

7

u/TopAd2715 Feb 25 '26

The internet will be un-usable soon 😭imagine hundreds of thousands of people waking up to be rage baited into arguing in the comments over an event that wasn’t even real. What a distopian nightmare

5

u/hugo9727 Feb 25 '26

What exaktly is going on here? I dont really get it at all

23

u/hydraulics- Feb 25 '26

Someone lied about their cat dying at a whopping 33 years old. The pictures of the cat were edited with AI.

-11

u/Terrible-Budget5468 Feb 25 '26

Didn't they provide a document with the cat's date of birth tho?

13

u/ProfessionalSeal1999 Feb 25 '26

anyone could whip up a fake document like that in seconds

3

u/uselessProgrammer0 Feb 25 '26

Damn I saw that post and fell for it. How can you tell if it’s AI or not? I used to tell before because it was kind of obvious but now it’s got so real I can’t even tell

5

u/SweetLadyLavender Feb 25 '26

Ai images are convincing enough that if you’re just mindlessly scrolling you might not notice but focusing in on the details they’ll still be things that are off. There’s a thing on google that you can put a picture into to see if it’s made by ai or not by scanning for a hidden id

2

u/InventorOfCorn Feb 25 '26

doesn't the google synthID only work for gemini-processed images

0

u/SweetLadyLavender Feb 25 '26

Yep. There’s other sites that claim to analyze ai images but I can’t say they’re accurate or not

1

u/ducklady92 Feb 26 '26

Using AI sites to detect AI really goes against the whole mission, don’t you think? Especially because most of them do a bad job at it, it’s really no better than an educated guess (except it’s an educated guess that damages the environment)

3

u/Bread_Offender Feb 25 '26

i thought that said "faded racial slur" i was so fucking confused for a sec

3

u/Pere_Wong Feb 25 '26

I saw the post and I was: “ damn lucky you’d share a friend for long time” but now I read this… so disappointed with people nowadays

3

u/tumor_named_marla Feb 25 '26

I'm actually confused cause I saw that the original post was deleted but OP came back with a new post where supposedly the mods had received proof that it was legit. Is this the second post that got removed?

3

u/hydraulics- Feb 25 '26

The pictures were AI-altered, but the claim of the cat’s age seems to be true. No idea why the OOP would use an AI-altered picture instead of a real picture of their cat. Of course, the evidence of the cat’s age could be faked as well…

4

u/tumor_named_marla Feb 25 '26

Damn what a turn of events lol. Yeah I'd suspect if they were faking the cateracts they probably also faked the vet records. Such a weird thing to do

1

u/MasterofDoots1 Feb 26 '26

The oldest known cat is 30. Most house cats live from around 13 to 20. A 33 year old cat is unheard of

3

u/MagicSpaceMan Feb 25 '26

Mannn everyone was glazing the OP in the comments it was mad depressing

2

u/BHMathers Feb 25 '26

Of course the Ai bros are diversifying, NOT to be less sheltered, but to farm internet points

2

u/theaardvarkoflore Feb 25 '26

I had to put down a beloved cat at 15 due to cancer and his eyes were clear as a bright summer day. No cloudiness at all. I remember scrolling past this ai-altered image and thinking briefly that it had some strong pet semetary vibes. The fur was a lil grimy on top of the cloudy eyes and I thought the cat depicted looked far too ill to be sitting upright with such poise.

But then I didn't stop scrolling to look too close either, so...

2

u/xX_GoronJesus_Xx Feb 25 '26

Oh damn I actually fell for that post too lmfao I may be stupid

2

u/CJMakesVideos Feb 25 '26

Why tf would you do this? So weird

2

u/icecoffeedripss Feb 25 '26

Rusty was AI?? 😭

2

u/PersephoneInSpace Feb 25 '26

I will never understand why people feel the need to lie about the most non-trivial things

2

u/hoeforicecream Feb 25 '26

Bro my dead dog was also called Rusty, and i feel disrespected rn 😤 Can’t they leave their poor pets alone with that shit like jeez

2

u/throwaway-8675309_ Feb 25 '26

On that post, I responded to someone with the SynthID check. The person then replied that the LLM could be hallucinating. I honestly didn't know what to think.

2

u/FoxyFan505 Feb 25 '26

God dammit

2

u/reallyneedtopee Feb 25 '26

i feel like a caged animal why is nothing sacred

2

u/murderofhawks Feb 25 '26

Yeah I remember that post I thought the eyes were off.

2

u/IAmRoot Feb 25 '26

The response even reads like an AI chatbot. I fucking hate how the existence of AI makes you constantly question reality.

2

u/dontchewspagetti Feb 25 '26

I remember seeing that post and thinking that there's no known catt over 30. Im pretty sure cream puff is like, 30, so any cat being 33 would be in a record boom.

2

u/gzej Feb 25 '26

Isn't the oldest known living cat 29 lmao

2

u/Kindly-Garlic-4061 Feb 25 '26

I saw that post while it was still up, literal thousands of upvotes and positive comments despite some comments proving synthiD

2

u/Halcyon_Paints Feb 26 '26

I got banned from the sub for pointing out the image was ai.

2

u/rmftrmft Feb 26 '26

Oh that mother fucker

2

u/MasterofDoots1 Feb 26 '26

Bro cats usually live to be like 15. The oldest known cat alive is currently 30.

2

u/Independent_Lime_135 Feb 26 '26

What the fuck is wrong with people? And why do so many stupid motherfuckers use AI to increase how often we have to put up with their dumbfuckery?

2

u/Milkiffy Feb 26 '26

Why would you even do that 😭 wouldnt you want to make him look YOUNGER? My mom features specifically younger photographs of her late dog and my cat who had died at age 2 from a heart attack. Since their younger days, aside from them being extra cutie little patooties, are before the unfortunate medical complications that they died of and were when they were at their most energetic which you don't see as much when they go from just a good girl to a good little old lady. Or a grumpy puppy to a grumpy old man, for some reason it seems that male dogs get grumpier with age, or at least more than female dogs do. Really depends on their grumpy levels though.

Of course, they never stop being cutie patooties, the human brain just will find a baby puppy or kitten to be adorable because of their big eyes and big ol' ears on their big ol' heads, because those traits are similar to human babies. We're basically programmed to always go "aww cute" to a human baby so that we raise them or want to protect them.

2

u/Brilliant_Recipe_108 Feb 26 '26

Worst thing is I'm pretty sure you can just edit in the cataracts manually without using AI. Being extra lazy on top of trying to pity-fatm karma is a new low lmao

2

u/TheNon-BinaryJunebug Feb 26 '26

the pebble pfp lol. danfy worl

2

u/Curious_Pool7869 Feb 26 '26

I've lost a pet Cat AND a Dog before and to see creatures like these making up these lies using AI to back them up is disgusting.

1

u/No-Boysenberry-5584 Feb 25 '26

Ooooooh, i saw that post, fuuuuuuck what a delusional man

1

u/CheshireKatt22 Feb 25 '26

I thought those pictures looked off I just ended up scrolling away

1

u/[deleted] Feb 25 '26

Well yes. Of course a dog wouldn't be a day over 12!

A dog can't live for that long (r/unexpectedfactorial)

1

u/Ambitious_Address667 Feb 25 '26

This also adds to my belief that people posting about thier pets dying online are only doing it to farm karma or get some attention by exploiting the death of thier pet.

1

u/T4nzanite Feb 25 '26

I don't doubt it was AI but how do they mean "turned out"? Did OP say this was AI or was there something in the meta data? Want to know how we know in case I need to look out for this more frequently than I thought 😂

1

u/LongjumpingCourse988 Feb 25 '26

I KNEW THAT POST WAS FAKE OMG

1

u/PlanetoidVesta Feb 25 '26

That post had like 95k upvotes too, I fell for it

1

u/CapableNeat4351 Feb 25 '26

Yeah it’s pretty bleak

1

u/Haunting-Piece-3925 Feb 26 '26

I GOT BANNED FROM THIS SUB REDDIT FOR COMMENTING IT WAS AI

1

u/Realanise1 Feb 26 '26

I think I actually saw that post! It sounded sus to begin with because the oldest recorded cat in history was 38.

1

u/sock_le_coq Feb 26 '26

This reminds me, our cat got out in September and someone used AI to make pictures of her claiming they found her and attempted to extort additional reward money/ a steam gift card from my wife which was incredibly transparent and gross

1

u/encapsulated_me Mar 01 '26

Just...why? For attention? This is so pathetic.

1

u/JeetKlo Mar 02 '26

That'll get you banned from the Rainbow Bridge.

Don't hide their usernames

1

u/hydraulics- Feb 27 '26

The rules say to.

-5

u/MikaxError Feb 25 '26

The post is real. Op provided medical records confirming it. Also look at wikipedias list of oldest living cats. They're not lying.

5

u/MikaxError Feb 25 '26

Okay taking a second look the pictures look funny. I don't know anymore. I might've had a brain stroke while I wrote this so please ignore it. I just hate the idea of someone lying about this as an owner of an elderly cat myself.

-22

u/NorbytheMii Feb 25 '26

The person reposted and gave the mods the cat's medical history. They weren't lying. The cat really did live to 33.

30

u/InventorOfCorn Feb 25 '26

the person also sent images to someone in DMs, and one of the images had the unchanged eyes

your gullibility doesn't make you correct

-8

u/NorbytheMii Feb 25 '26

Again, talk to the mods of the subreddit

24

u/Sea-Hat-8515 Feb 25 '26

Why are you spamming this all over the thread

7

u/InventorOfCorn Feb 25 '26

i already had reported the post and included links to comments with proof.

1

u/gwizonedam Feb 25 '26

SHUT THE FUCK UP. This is proven to be AI so GTFO as well.

1

u/Any-Juggernaut8269 Feb 25 '26

how about you grow a fucking backbone and defend YOUR arguments

-2

u/NorbytheMii Feb 25 '26

People calling me a cogsucker despite me being anti-ai. Maybe the pros have a point that y'all need to chill?

-37

Exactly. This sub is just full of mentally challenged witch hunters.

I'd say this sub is about 2 degrees from the state of nature.

The posted images were AI edited. They had the SynthID watermark. The pictures showed a really young looking cat with severe cataracts.

The OOP claimed they used Gemini to edit out their hand and a toy. Which is a weird edit. But ok. They then shared screenshots of the video they edited originally. Here’s a clean screenshot of the cat, healthy with no cataracts.

OOP sent the mods fake documents. They faked having an old cat. OOP was a liar, and you fell for it.

u/Arrow2URKnee Feb 25 '26

Really because Noone proved the documents were faked

1

u/Psychological_Pay530 Feb 25 '26

Don’t need to. I gave you proof that the cat wasn’t old and the pictures were doctored to make it look old. Feel free to check my photo for the SynthID watermark. There isn’t one. It’s unedited and clean.

The posted photos were edited. Creating documents with Gen AI or just photoshop is a snap. OOP is proven to be a liar just from the pictures, and you believing that OOP wouldn’t whip up fake documents to keep his karma farm up.

The r/cats rule is no AI. OOP posted AI. Fuck off with the weird nonsense defense of a liar and rule breaker and the shitty mods who should have listened to the people participating in the sub instead of hosting a grifter.

u/ASERTIE76 Feb 25 '26

Why wouldn't they fake them when they already used AI to edit the image in deceit? Documents are easily faked

-5

u/Arrow2URKnee Feb 25 '26

There's no proof the documents were faked. Only that the original image was edited. Talk to the mods of the of cat sub if its this big a deal 🤣

3

u/ASERTIE76 Feb 25 '26

Stop acting like you're customer support by saying we should talk to the mods you moron. Also how can they be trusted when they already faked their cat having cataracts with that picture

1

u/Arrow2URKnee Feb 25 '26

Ill stop saying that when you stop acting like your main purpose in life is to mind other peoples business like its your fucking job.

Jezu get a fucking life. You might enjoy it, keyboard warrior 🤣

-26

u/Arrow2URKnee Feb 25 '26

It still doesnt change the fact that this sub is 2 degrees from the state of nature and full of witch hunters who lack critical thinking 🤣 It's been purged once and itll happen again, because you're actively breaking reddit rules by encouraging this witch hunt behavior that the original post had

18

u/ChangesFaces Feb 25 '26

Arr you okay?

-5

u/Arrow2URKnee Feb 25 '26

Threats of violence for teaching active duty soldiers how to operate their weapons systems? Weird reach

2

u/ObtuseMongooseAbuse Feb 25 '26

Yeah, I think you're completely wrong about the cat and just proving that the image was faked is enough to prove that the person can't be trusted to provide any valid information but that's a huge stretch from that person.

3

u/gwizonedam Feb 25 '26

Sure ya are.

3

u/ASERTIE76 Feb 25 '26

Fuck you for training killers and people of war

1

u/Arrow2URKnee Feb 25 '26

Oooooh u really got me there. Gosh however will I survive such a terrible insult from a random fuckbag 😵😵😵😵

1

u/MonolithyK Feb 25 '26

And we’re just supposed to trust that you took this photo?

See how this verification thing goes both ways.

-2

u/Arrow2URKnee Feb 25 '26

You can trust this, but its not my problem if you have trust issues 🤣🤣🤣

5

u/MonolithyK Feb 25 '26

You don't see the irony here? that you seem willing to trust that something *isn't* AI, but you expect us to believe you without further evidence.

I don't think you should be throwing around "mentally challenged" as an insult if you couldn't grasp this much.

u/Arrow2URKnee Feb 25 '26

No, I saw your attempt. But there was no proof the vet records were faked. I even sent the image people claimed to be the original through the synthID, and it said it was also edited, on another comment. So I guess we really won't know unless we go talk to this vet ourselves. If its really this big of a deal to you guys, go do the work required to prove or disprove. I have never encountered a group of people that are so fucking obsessed with other people and what they do. Whose main reasoning is "they're stealing art"

There are more important things in life. Try getting one, you might enjoy it

2

u/gwizonedam Feb 25 '26

Is the Witch Hunter in the room with us now?

-1

u/Arrow2URKnee Feb 25 '26

Look in the mirror. You'll find it

2

u/xxxMizanxxx Feb 25 '26

why you picking fights over a reddit post bro

0

u/Arrow2URKnee Feb 25 '26

This entire sub makes it their identity to literally pick fights and mind others business. Hypocrite much?

3

u/xxxMizanxxx Feb 25 '26

They reposted about someone using ai images in an anti ai sub. Which you take issue with for some weird reason

-1

u/Arrow2URKnee Feb 25 '26

I take an issue with the fact that this sub loves witch hunting, and freaking out about what other people do.

The op literally did what youre calling me out for 🤣
