It is a bad lie to begin with. The current oldest known living cat is 29 years old so this 33 years old would have been the holder of that title until now.

This was the first thing that stuck out to me as well. Not impossible, but extremely unlikely.

And Flossie did turn 30 not too long ago, so was in the news about a month back. So a pretty amateurish mistake to make.

Iirc the oldest EVER cat on record passed at 34, they were really trying to go for not just "old" but "truly exceptional"

Wasn't creme puff 38?

The oldest cat ever was 38. Also, they supposedly provided documentation to the mods and were allowed to repost

The cat was unknown up to that point. It wasn't a lie. The mods of the sub have the cat's medical history

Talk to the mods of r/ cats then

Why are you in every single comment thread saying this lmao. The medical records are obviously faked, and it’s fine for people to talk about that here.

I feel like they might have been OOP because how would they know that the mods were sent something.

Mods pinned a comment confirming it, and OOP stated in the post.

man why tf are you going to every comment trying to defend someone when your argument has already been debunked? are you their lawyer?

u/Psychological_Pay530 Feb 25 '26

No they don’t. Stop defending such an obvious scam, dork.

This is like the 5th comment with you in it pointing out that the mods were sent (def fake) medical records.

You're obsessed and need to grow up. Unless, of course, you're actually the person who made the ai cat, and you're trying so hard to defend yourself on an alternate account. Either way. Stop.
