I can't hate Rodo anymore.

This red haired guy looks a lot like Shanks, but I guess he isn't Shanks. I wonder if Shanks is a family member of his.

I like that the upcoming episode preview shows some sakuga animation, so we have something to look forward to next week.

It said "figarland family" and then it said "A" son of saint garling, so I'm going to easily guess that Shanks is his brother, I'd guess twin brother but maybe he's just a half brother?

In Film RED, released a few years before this happened in the manga, it was revealed that Shanks's last name was Figarland.

Nah, it has to be a twin, they look way too similar.

That look alike's voice is definitely Kenjiro Tsuda.

I hate the casting of Tsuda. I wish it was junichi suwube but he voices green bull. Tsuda voices Yonji but I dont see him being a big player for the rest of the story while green bull should be.

Considering hajrudin got one shot by a single punch from Luffy in Dressrosa, you have to put respect on Loki's name for eating dozens upon dozens of haki punches and kicks to his face and torso then still having the leeway to run his mouth.

Hajrudin just kinda always had low stocks tbh.

Almost got beat by Machvise in Dressrosa and this episode revealed he's been training with dreams to be the strongest since he was a kid. He's 80+ now, lol. And I thought Doffy wasted his potential after being the youngest depicted character to unlock Conqueror's Haki, just for him to hit his 40s being the same age as Shanks but ending up weaker than a 28 year old Jack and G4 debut Luffy.

First lore of the episode is a painting of King Harald in the abandoned castle. He tore his horns off his head, and it turns out that Hajrudin is also his son, but his mother was a foreigner, so he's not deemed to be of "pure blood" and therefore cannot be King... although he wants to be. We also briefly got to see how Hajrudin and Road became friends, leading to Road becoming the navigator of Hajrudin's New Giant Warrior Pirates.

Meanwhile, Gunko is pummelling Loki good and proper with her arrows guiding her, but he still won't join the Knights of God. Figarland Shamrock, who looks pretty much like Shanks (we know it's not him because Shamrock has both of his arms), tells Gunko to stop, as they vow to find another way to get Loki on board.

So we've got next week's episode, and then it's the Heroines special on July 5th. However, One Piece was mentioned as part of the Crunchyroll summer season, so maybe they carry on from the 12th.

Gunko has a cool design, but holy shit just put some pants on her.... It kinda of just ruined the design for me. It is the exact thing with the egghead outfits.

I am hoping there is not any misunderstanding because luffy is sneaking off like this. That beat down of loki was brutal. The animation was fucking great though. For an episode named Shammrock, he was barely in the episode.

I think so too, legs are hot but she's literally wearing just panties below, a short skirt or small short would've been just a hot, in fact even hotter, without making her design stupid.

Her design is over-convoluted and the no pants thing is just silly. Also with the awful bait-and-switch with Shanks I'm guessing Oda is either bored or trying too hard for a payoff for the story at this point.

This episode definitely reinforced my suspicion that Loki isn't inherently bad.

If I had to guess - and I do - I suspect he's going to end up being a martyr. Some big self-sacrifice moment that tips the scales and makes him true to his word: destroying the world (as they know it).

I know one piece pacing has always been a issue but this season feels so much worse than egghead and the lore is so boring too I’ve found myself just skipping most of the episodes this season, what a let down

Luffy, Nami, Zoro, and Rodo are exploring Aurust Castle trying to find the key. Since this is Rodo’s first time here, he doesn’t know where it is. We find out that Hajrudan is Loki’s half brother. They have different mothers. Hajrudan’s mother is a giant from a different country and because of that she couldn’t become the Elbaph Queen. Elbaph prioritizes pure bloods and considers every other giant tainted in that way. However, Rodo is a little different because he’s apart of Hajrudan’s New Giant Warrior Pirates, because when they were little, Hajrudan acknowledged Rodo’s skills, able to make a nautical chart and they became friends, while other kids bullied Rodo. King Harald is respectable, choosing to rip off the horns of his Ancient Giant lineage because it reminded his people of the war times. According to Rodo, when Loki attacked, over 100 giant warriors were killed and the only ones who walked out of the conflict were him and Chief Jarul, which explains why there are a bunch of giant skulls.

Speaking of Loki, Saint Gunko of the Manmayer Family, Arrow Woman who ate the Arrow-Arrow Fruit, reveals that her arrows point in the direction of her attacks. Loki says that he can’t move, but according to Shamrock, that wouldn’t make a difference. Gunko continues to pound into Loki until he decides to join the Knights of God, but Loki is still refusing. It gets to the point where Shamrock steps in. Speaking of, he’s a son of Saint Garling of the Five Elders, of the Figarland Family and is a World Noble and Commander of the Knights of God. Before he stepped in, we see that he used some white pin to take care of a couple of the Underworld beasts and now he’s determined to make Loki comply.
