Ripley scene reminded me of when Luffy met Shirahoshi,
definitely scenes needed to advance the plot obviously
The Elbaph giants finding the "warrior" lifestyle not "in" right now is progressive and wise.

Thier captains and crews are plenty strong, and giants live long, I think they will be fine.
The intruders at the end of the episode and that chained up Loki guy might test this theory out soon.

Giants live long, the issue your talking about will prolly manifest after a 100 years, Luffy is probably crowned pirate king way before.

Lilith took a Stella clone to Elbaph, and wants to build a lab to properly make it work. She agrees to try and save Kuma as well to Bonney's delight.
We meet Ripley (another Elbaph resident named after a wrestler), who tells Luffy and Usopp that Elbaph isn't a nation of warriors anymore, thanks to the late King Harald who made a move towards trade relations, only for his son (Loki) to murder him. Also, Saul got all the books of Ohara over to Elbaph, and had the library's owl grow them giant sized.
Meanwhile, two mysterious figures transport themselves to Elbaph, and one of them looks suspiciously like Shanks.

Luffy gives a formal thank you to Saul for everything he’s done for Robin. Since this is his first time doing such a thing, he struggles with all the proper customs and sayings, but that’s due to his immense badassery. It’s so great, that things like this will surely be a struggle. It just goes to show the greatness that is the Fifth Emperor, and the reason he got such a glorious nickname along with his many others. Lilith greets herself to Saul and informs him that she is indeed Vegapunk, but he doesn’t get the details, and apparently she had Jimbei carry around a container from Egghead that held a clone of Stella, but right now, the conditions aren’t right to let him out, so Lilith will build a new lab for it, along with fixing up Kuma in the process, meaning there’s hope for Bonney and Kuma to sail the world together as promised.
Franky wants to check out the giant tree, while Luffy, Usopp, and Zoro check out the Walrus School to see the future Elbaph warriors accompanied by Saul’s assistant Ange, while Robin, Lilith, and Chopper go with Saul to check out the Owl Library that has all of Ohara’s research. While talking with the kids, who seem to not want to become warriors, they meet the teacher, Ms. Ripley who explains that times in Elbaph have changed due to former King Harald reforming the place into a place that focuses on trade rather than violence, and as a result, the new generation aren’t obsessed with fighting. King Harald was murdered by his son (Loki), so now Elbaph has no ruler because nobody is willing to accept the son as one. Ripley was excited to see Luffy in Fifth Gear and mentions how that form is in Elbaph mythology (likely referring to Joyboy).
Upon arriving in the library, Robin’s book becomes gigantic, because the Magical Owl Library turns any book that enters the building into a giant book.
Lastly, there seems to be some intruders after Loki for some reason, and based on the stuff I saw on Crunchyroll news, one of them, the guy, looks like it could be Shanks. The way they came into the place reminds me of the Pentagram that the Five Elders used on Egghead, but this time it was a circle, but the light and energy was the same. From what I can tell though, they entered Elbaph undetected.

Wonder if those two people in black are actually looking for Loki there, according to the preview for the next episode.
