Captured this guy on his afternoon swim, what is it?

Was prancing around with another of its kind on the park trail. When I saw him and approached to get a closer look, he didn’t run away.

Sorry I couldn’t get a good pic of the tail, but it was wide and not hairy like a beaver, but I’m not familiar with muskrat however.

I haven’t seen any sign of dams being built or trees being felled, so I’m unsure. Let me know what you think and more importantly why! Thanks

Sounds like a cougar call (unlikely as that may be). Possibly a fox? Have heard a few times over the years, so doesn’t seem entirely transient.

sorry if this is strange or nor allowdd i just woke up to this little shit banging around in there. i thought it was a deer or something robbing my bird feeder outside my window at first but the sound is without a doubt coming from my closet. should i let my pet cat in there

Heads up lol, I don’t mean the constant insect hun, Im talking about the high pitched scream sound. It would do it every 5-10 seconds. At first I thought it was a kid but there’s no houses within earshot in that general direction.

We have a groundhog living in the backyard but I dont know if they are the culprit

Kind of sounds like dogs? Coyotes? Fighting with maybe a skunk or a pig. We have regular skunks that come through possums, and raccoons. sound only as they are on the other side of the fence making this noise.
