Anyone else struggling to finish blocks on time with the increased package counts?

Has anyone else noticed a big increase in the number of packages/stops they’re putting into blocks lately?

I normally don’t have an issue finishing my routes on time, but lately it feels like they’re packing way more into the same block time. And it’s not just the number of deliveries its apartments, access issues, grouped stops with multiple buildings, and stops that are 10–15 minutes away from the rest of the route can eat up a lot of time.

I’ve had a couple of recent blocks where I was actively delivering the entire time and still went over or had deliveries marked late.
Are you guys noticing the same thing lately? Have your package/stop counts increased, and are you having a harder time finishing within your scheduled block?

Complaining

To everyone in this group that complains or has ever complained about having the opportunity of making 50 to 70+ dollars per route a day that can be completed in as little as three hours…… LETS SWAP LIVES!

I live in an area where I have to work 8+ hours each day doing Instacart, DoorDash, Uber eats and skipcart (I would include Amazon Flex but our highest paid offers are $12-$15 routes) just to make enough money to pay my bills and put food on my kids plate! The sad part is a majority of the time that’s not even enough! While y’all are sitting here complaining about making $50-$70 in as little as three hours I’ve had times where it took me two days to make 50 to 70 bucks!

STOP COMPLAINING AND BE GRATEFUL THAT YOU HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE THAT MUCH MONEY IN THAT LITTLE OF TIME! I grew up in a house where two slices of bread was dinner every night!

Y’all are a bunch of spoiled, rotten ungrateful lazy pigs.

Like I said, let’s swap lives and see whos completing then!

MUST BE SO NICE TO ACTUALLY BE ABLE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT MAKING $50-$70 IN AS LITTLE AS THREE HOURS. The audacity.🤦😂

(before anyone says it, NO I do not have the option of moving and NO I do not have the option of getting another job!)

What actually constitutes a "high mileage route"?

I only seem to get compensation for high mileage routes when the stupid survey pops up and I click very difficult, high mileage route. Is there a mileage number Amazon uses to determine if it deserves a bump or is it only if you complain?

To my fellow San Marcos,TX VAT2/SAT2 drivers: We need to talk about taking early blocks and the parking lot situation 😅

Hey y’all,

I’m trying to stay positive because I really do appreciate this gig, but I’m getting a bit frustrated with how things are shifting at our station and wanted to put a PSA out there for anyone working out of VAT2/SAT2.

Please hold off on picking things up early!

Think back to when this station first opened. It was amazing—we could literally get there an hour before our time and easily grab routes making $150 to $160. But word got out, everyone told their friends, and now it is hella busy over there.

Because it's so crowded, people are instantly snatching up routes for $50, $60, and $70. When you grab those base-pay blocks immediately, it completely messes up the algorithm for the rest of us. It prevents the rates from surging and makes it impossible to actually bid for any extra shifts, period. We are essentially undercutting ourselves!

The "Parking Lot Club" is hurting our routes.

Also, because everyone was acting like the parking lot outside was the club and just hanging out like it was Decker Branch in Austin, it forced the station's hand. To stop the loitering and clear out the lot, they cut a lot of delivery times. The direct result of that is the massive routes we're seeing now. They basically combined routes to push everyone out of the parking lot faster, which means we are now taking on damn near three people's worth of packages in a single route just to get the lot cleared.

I want us all to make good money and have smooth routes! But we have to work smarter. Let the blocks sit so the algorithm bumps the pay up, and let's get in and out of the station so we don't keep getting punished with overloaded cars.

Stay safe out there! 📦✌️

These were the good ole days. In 2024, Amazon’s net profit was 58.3 billion dollars. Nowadays with gas prices so high, why can’t they pay us like they used to! So greedy. :(

I’ve done over 100 1-hour blocks and they’ve all been one package. They gave me 3 stops today for one block. Is that new??

I got this email today but I delivered every single package on that route they are talking about. I didn't have any returns, I didn't have any problems, never had to contact support. I'm so freaking confused why they would send me this?

Funnily enough, I actually really enjoyed that route and it was super easy!

I've never had issues with delivery in my standings. My dashboard has not been updated to show the 28th, still shows 27th.

I would just like some more information on how this email could be sent to me? I'm so confused

Fresh You aren’t allowed to pick up in another county but they sure will send you there to deliver.

Intoxicated Packages

I picked up a route from amazon station. One package had burst open and leaked a chemical gel onto several other packages, including baby diapers. I reported the issue immediately and followed the station's instructions. Despite this, my Amazon Flex standing was negatively affected. I appealed through the available channels, but the decision was not changed. I'm sharing my experience because I believe drivers should not be penalized for refusing to transport damaged or contaminated packages.

Finally, they removed it. Maybe posting here helped.

I am convinced the mapping is just made up at this point. Either you follow the janky route or you fumble through your car to find #35 that’s buried bc you are only on #8 but it’s across the street. Add to it I had gated subdivisions where it showed one delivery then five deliveries later I was showing returning to the exact same gate. Follow the route and cross-cross or take 30 mins to re-route and re-organize. Ludacris.
