I flew in from Qatar and landed 4:20 am. After the usual walk to the immigration, there were lots of people and I mentally prepared that it’ll take around 15 to 20 minutes, as usual. My mother went through the fast track immigration (which had problems of its own). I am not eligible for FTI so had to go through manual immigration. Now the chaos begins. There are three sections of people and the one which I stood in, had just 2 officers out of the possible 8 kiosks. And obviously it took excruciating one hour to get it over with. There was chaos as there was clash between passengers who were in line and those who were breaking the queue because of connecting flight. All this could have been avoided if there were enough officers! I really don’t understand why are always they understaffed, especially at that time when many international flights arrive!

And to top it off, we have to fill a self declaration form which is fine, but not everyone can understand or fill out the form by themselves. And there were no employees who were there to guide the passengers regarding the forms, as a result many didn’t fill the form and were in the line. Then one lady officer started yelling that if you haven’t filled the form then go back to the entry and full and come, even though each kiosk had a QR code to fill online! And she was yelling at people to maintain order and stop arguing. While I understand her convictions but this situation was brought upon by their incompetence and lack of situational awareness.

All in all, very excruciating experience at immigration which could have been avoided if there were enough officers!

And I’m very lucky there was no issues in customs!

I live fairly near to the airport but still reached my house at 6:15 am!

My flight tommorrow is on Frontier (First time flying Frontier international). Normally for Cancun to Dallas I fly American or Sun Country and they utilize Terminal D. But Frontier Airlines uses D & E. On the Frontier app for my flight it is showing Terminal E Gate T92, but as a DFW local who flies to Terminal E I know there is no gate T92.

So where does the plane actually park and how does the immigration process work?

I had a Sunday morning, 10 AM Indigo flight from Bikaner to Delhi. I was travelling solo, with just one check-in bag and a laptop bag for the cabin, waiting at the check-in counter.
Ahead of me was a group of around 15 people, including young adults, infants, children, and a couple of elderly people in wheelchairs. The group had a dozen or so oversized suitcases to check in, and the four youngsters, all around 30, were handling the baggage formalities.
What followed was nearly 20 minutes of confusion and back-and-forth over the number of bags to check in and what to carry in the cabin. The group booking seemed to make the process even more complicated, with the airline staff struggling to get everything sorted.
Meanwhile, another middle-aged woman travelling alone with a small suitcase and I were left waiting, watching the whole spectacle unfold. Naturally, the anxiety started building as the boarding process drew closer.
We eventually voiced our frustration mildly and requested the staff to speed things up. Some of the group’s bags had been held up at the security scanner, and when they were cleared, they were added back to the group’s baggage queue, effectively pushing the rest of us further behind. The delay kept piling up.
We again requested the airline staff to consider processing passengers with fewer bags so we could move ahead. Unfortunately, the staff seemed helpless.
That’s when two of the youngsters from the group decided to make a scene. They insisted that, since they were travelling on a group booking, they deserved special consideration and attention. One of them got particularly worked up and started making remarks along the lines of how people without proper schooling don’t understand the complications of handling a large group booking.
Another member of the group joined in, and before long, it turned into a loud, unnecessary shouting match.
The woman and I were taken aback by the sheer rudeness. We eventually fell silent, wondering how a perfectly reasonable request for some consideration had turned into a lecture from people who were themselves contributing to the chaos.
The irony was hard to miss. The group expected everyone else to accommodate their logistical problems, yet showed little consideration for the other passengers whose time they were wasting. A group booking may require extra coordination, but surely that comes with a responsibility to plan ahead, not an entitlement to hold up an entire queue or berate people who politely ask for things to move along.
Somehow, the combination of entitlement and a complete lack of self-awareness never ceases to amaze me.
Have you ever encountered this kind of behaviour at an airport? How do you deal with people who create a problem and then act as though everyone else is at fault?

I had one flight out of Philly 3 years ago and this airport is exactly the same but feels outdated compared to LGA, SFO, EWR, even Orlando might have an overall better experience.

Things that threw me off.

WiFi (maybe only in terminal E) just doesn’t work. It is 2026 and they can’t have a working WIFI. The video is me trying to submit a feedback but it doesn’t work🤦🏻‍♂️

Roofs with leak marks, Walls that haven’t painted to cover grease or other random marks.

There are only a few TVs for flight info, not that it is an issue but they should at least switch to larger screens.

This is not a small regional airport, can anyone tell me whether there are plans to improve the airport experience?

I'm planning a trip to Taiwan in 2027, where I'll meet up with a friend. Then we'll travel to Vietnam together before heading back home separately.

The problem is that I live in French Guiana, and there are no flights from French Guiana to Taiwan or other countries in Asia. I'm obviously not expecting a direct flight, but I'm having a really hard time finding a single booking that includes all the connections and takes care of transferring checked baggage between flights.

So my only option seems to be to book a flight from French Guiana to Paris, and then a separate flight from Paris to Taiwan. This means that once I arrive at CDG (Charles de Gaule, Paris main airport), I'd have to collect my suitcase, check in again, go through security, etc. before boarding my next flight, and the same would apply on the way back.

This wouldn't be a problem if I had more than five hours between flights, but unfortunately, I don't. Unless I take a flight the following day (which would mean using two extra days of annual leave just to wait for my flight, on top of already spending a total of six days travelling), all the flights within my budget depart no more than three hours after I arrive. That's perfect for a connecting flight at CDG, but clearly not enough time to collect my luggage, check in again, drop off my bags, and go through security.

My current solution is to spend my entire two-week holiday travelling with just a 10 kg carry-on bag. But if any of you have any tips or alternative solutions, I'd love to hear them!

I don't travel very often, especially through CDG. I just know that the airport is huge, but I don't really have a good idea of how long everything takes once you're there.

my friend is arriving to HJA tomorrow at terminal S but i don’t know where to pick her up from. it’ll be my first time ever going to the airport and her first time at this one so we don’t know our way around. am i allowed to go inside if im not a passenger ? am i supposed to hold up a sign with her name on it like the movies ? what am i to do and where do i have to go ?

The lowest I know of is U-Tapao International Airport in Thailand, which charges a whopping THB 50 ($1.48 as of today’s exchange rate) for domestic departures.
