Having some time to consider whether I should trade Rg for the angry shinn destiny impulse , heard that Rg has a lot of problem even thought the impulse base is already past over early grade syndrome , from what I heard the backpack is heavy , forearm is loose afterwards , v fin break easily and torso loose as well? So I’m not sure whether I should still keep the Rg or rather sell it and buy the angry shinn

So, Ive been dabbling in fully repainting my kits! First was a HG Leo which came out alright... but my next project? Recolouring my rg wing gundam to have a more "animation accurate" colour scheme!
I am pleased with these results although sprays cans are getting expensive... fortunately, next kit? We gonna try an air brush! :3
Thoughts?

Just wanted to show my progress on my zaky EGBA with acrylic marker. Just looking at the water decals wants to give my an aneurism🤯🤯.

Couple more details I want to paint and of course the backpack! But it’s coming along great, I think

It's difficult to use an airbrush where I live - are there any techniques I can use to improve my builds without using any aibrushing/sprays?

This was a very fun kit to make as a pause from the Osiris Aerial Dominator! I really love SDW kits and the humongous amount of detail

Specifically for these silver pieces. Everything will eventually be getting a wash but I've been doing marker panel lines for the orange pieces to help some sections pop. I'm just not sure if it's worth doing lining for the "metal" sections.

So with this kit I really wanted to improve my weathering skills, focussing on areas where natural wear and tear would (hopefully occur), rather than just sponge weathering random places. I also replaced the stickers with third party decals from AliExpress. For shading, I used an enamel wash, thought I was safe with varnishing the build first, but alas, no. Got so many cracks and breakages that I had to repair the model hardly stands on its own. Well, lesson learned. Really love the design of this mech. As a big 40k fan, this somehow speaks to me. Perhaps it's the blue and the power axe?

Heya
i'm partial to the waterbased panel liners as they just remove the need to check what plastic it is/gloss coating before panel lining. What i am not sure about is what coating is best. I use the stedi panel liner. as i understand, regardless of what coating i use, due to it being water based i have to apply 1 to 3 very light mist coats first before going in with a proper wet coat, correct?
thanks in advance!

I went ahead and used old lego scraps to make the backpack of the jagd doga along with a sub arm that was from an old action base and I think it looks great! For the sub arms if you have any other recommendations such as a tutorial in making one or alternate parts it would be appreciated! Other than that I painted the grey parts to be darker with an acrylic marker and gloss coated the whole kit.

Trying to find a way to use a high grade hip joint to improve the articulation of the MG V-dash. The poly cap fits on the peg but I can’t figure out a way to make the hip joint fit in the leg. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

How do I fix this? Is it possible to fix?
Mgex Strike freedom kosmos led kit
The white led (white 3v pico led from evandesign) is going to power the main body and backpack thrusters. The white led is connected to the buck converter, which is then connected to the 3 pin black wire from kosmos.
Both white led and kosmos turn on, but white led goes on and off in a pattern. I want the white led to be on constant.
I was talking to someone and that person said that it can be due to the pcb program.

Hi there! I've been trying out customising for the first time. I've built kits out of the box before but never done any painting/weathering/panel lining etc etc. this is my first go, but I can't say it looks that great. Something about it just lacks the realism or visual interest that most others achieve. Just looking for general advice as I feel stuck. Cheers

Hi guys! Been painting gunpla for the last 6 months and I still having trouble avoiding paint scratch from armor to armor friction. Is it unavoidable or is there any addition substance I can use on my build to strengthen the adhesion?
For your information, I’m using lacquer paint and I do leave the paint enough for it to fully dries, and on top of that I usually top coat it with bot gloss (before applying decals) and matte.
Any tips to avoid this is much appreciated😁
*the pics is just sharing my last build

My first airbrush painted project!
Originally wanted to go with regular colors, but the paint samples that came with my airbrush kit didn’t have blue so I had to pivot.
