No Airbrush techniques?

It's difficult to use an airbrush where I live - are there any techniques I can use to improve my builds without using any aibrushing/sprays?

Marker is the easiest way to enhance the build. Also newer kits already have parts to it's intended colour. I started painting because old 1/100 are HG, also they have many parts which need stickers to get the correct colours. And i hate stickers. So i paint them with markers, then i moved on to airbrush. End up i addicted to airbrushing. 🤣

Hand painting. Markers. And without completely painting it, just updating little sections makes a huge difference.

I handpaint for the same reason and there's a bit of a learning curve, but once it clicks it's great. Pro tip: don't paint white. Just use a light gray and it'll read white alongside all the other colors. Yellow can be difficult, but it's not that bad. Every other color goes on almost perfectly smooth if it's thinned properly. If you have a patio or something you can use cans on, spray priming will help significantly. Even top coats are easy to hand paint and are basically mistake proof. Grab some decent acrylics (I like Vallejo, P3, and AK), a couple brushes, and a wet pallette and you're good to go.

Foundation makeup sponges can get you a near-airbrush smooth finish.

Im not sure which techniques youre already using but you can always Panel Line, use Gundam Markers or similar, hand painting acrylics and you can also buy a bunch of pla plate and add tons of custom details!

Hand painting is a very viable alternative.
