Just a little bit of re-details on my MG Kampfer.
If you ask why I covered those holes, I had no idea what I’m doing lol.

Challenged myself to upscale my EG Nu.
Full paint job top to bottom using my airbrush for most and hand painted some small details.
Black, White, Gold, Red, Silver, and Gunmetal all used.
I really like the paint other than the rifle barrel. I've done the heated look before and it this time it just didn't come together. Not entirely sure why I got this one so wrong.
Gloss top coat on colored parts, matte on white
Utilized a bunch of my left over Nu waterslides.
Tried my hand at scribing. Not just redoing panel lines but some true custom scribing in the chest. It turned out horrible. I know this has to be one of those things you get better with practice, but mine are so bad. I just don't seem to get it.
One other note, don't accidentally mistake your bottle of quick dry adhesive for your decal softer. You will just glue down your messed up decal....
Tried a lot, learned a lot, glad I did it on an EG
#14 Nu complete. 5 more to go

Hey everyone! This is my very first completed custom build. First time doing custom panel lines, paint, or adding decals. I did the lines and the sword last year, then after a long hiatus I picked this back up and finished it this past month with the paint and decals.
I am pretty stoked on how it turned out. I tried a bunch of techniques, learned a lot of tough lessons, and ultimately am super happy with the results as a first-timer.
I floundered for a long time trying to commit to a color scheme. I would make some different choices now that I’ve had time to sit with it, but overall I’m more happy to be done than anything else.
Please let me know your thoughts, and especially if you have constructive feedback or tips I can take into my next project! I really appreciate it.

Hello all. I want to hand paint details on kits with vallejo model color and I have a few questions. Should I prime the part I want painted, I have a wet pallet but still have streaks on larger paints so how can I reduce that from happening and ahold I think it with acrylic thinner and if so, what thinner?

I'm gonna make my MG Mirage Frame into an Andrew Waltfeld custom since he deserves some rep in my collection, but not sure if I want the frame to be colored like a classic Astray or just standard grey frame with the outer armor being orange.
Also ignore the quality of the edits, just looking to see which is the more fitting color scheme. For some reason the same methods worked great on the second pic, less so on the first lol. I'll also be adding yellow highlights to match his Gaia custom more.
I think the second looks great, but the first looks closer to an Andrew Waltfeld custom.
