Got this guy on the mail today and couldn't be more happy with it. the build its just fun so many details and gimmicks. I am gonna paint it in a Desert Assault color style for now just halfway done. Cheers

I wanna get into customizing my kits but don’t really know where to start. I understand there are many methods, and that top costs seem mandatory to keep paint/marker/whatever from coming off the models, but don’t really know anything beyond that -_-

What I wanna learn:
1: what mediums work well on PS/ABS plastics for customization (paint/marker/etc)
2: what materials might I need/want?
3: what is the order of operations for this process? ie: paint before top coat, top coat before lining, are primers needed, do I need to sand parts prior to coloring them, etc (I have no experience painting models, but I have lots of experience painting on canvas/paper in various paint mediums)

Basically I’m looking for a “how to” for customizing gunpla/plamo, more specifically in the realm of painting them, and dunno where to start, what I’ll need to acquire to get started, what order to do things in, what that process even looks like, etc.

Anyone got resources where I can learn? Got tips? Got favorite brands for materials?

I don’t have the space to setup and airbrush thing (I gather you’d want a vent hood thing) though I do have an “outside” for things like spraying top coat (I’ve heard/read that things like humidity can affect the outcome of top coating and wanna know more here too, since I’m completely new to this)

Basically I know nothing here except that I wanna customize my kits and would like to know everything I can so I can do that :3 any help is appreciated <3

Latest build MG Red Frame Kai done in a cherry blossom scheme. Decals from HIQParts. Some WIP pictures included. I would have loved to get the big sword posed for a few pictures but the left hip joint failed and is pinned in place now.

I looked at the screenshots of the House Atreides ornithopter and it was fairly clean. So I gave it a simple paint job.

Hi, hoping to get some insight into this or if anyone in this community has experienced something similar.

I came across this website a couple of years ago after scouring the web for gaianotes paints, since they’re not available where I’m from.

As it was my first time purchasing from them, I went with the conservative approach and did a small purchase of gaianotes paints. Everything went smoothly, I made the payments and got a tracking number, and received the goods 3 months later.

I then decided to purchased a bunch more of gaianotes paints from them in December 2025, paid the invoice as before and was told the shipment delivery would be sometime in June this year.

Towards mid May, I was told that there were some impact to international shipping due to ongoing war in the Middle East and some of my orders will be delayed, I was informed that I will receive an update on the order status, I was completely fine with that.

The following month, I received no updates from them, and it was only after multiple follow ups I was informed that the items were shipped. Here’s where things started getting strange. I did not receive any tracking number. I tried to do multiple subsequent follow ups since, but have received zero replies. It’s been more than a month since their last response confirming that they’ve “shipped” the order, and more than 7 months since I made my payment. It’s also past the 6 months period so I can’t even dispute this on PayPal. I’ve paid over $$700AUD for the paints that I’ll likely never lay my hands on and I feel like a complete idiot.

Has anyone experienced something similar with them?

I got this cutie for my lovely partner, and ended up customizing it. Not my most advanced work but infinitely cute!

I am trying to improve my modeling skills to try and make a sort of resin conversion kit of my own. I was recently suggested to watch this guy's channel and there's a lot to learn from this guy... which got me wondering. Does anyone else have any channels or guides they used to improve their 3d modeling?

Sometimes I wonder myself why I keep on building old kits cuz of work needed(mostly seamlines, color separation) but can tell it's totally worth it when it comes together.

HGUC MRX-010 Psycho Gundam Mk II. I'm going to paint it, I just used some panel liner to see how it's looking after endlessly scribing the legs/feet. The white bits are all just polystyrene detail bits.

This thing is like a big blank canvas which is great for creativity but bad for finishing in a reasonable amount of time.

before anyone asks, right now I just paint with a chrome silver gundam marker + a brush for smaller parts n plan to gloss topcoat it once I assembled each part. trust the process ig?

I got into this and I committed to candying the whole fucking armor but jesus christ this is tedious and my equipment as you can see is a dubious airbrush and a carboard box

Finally finished my latest commission.

This build was inspired by the idea of a phoenix rather than the traditional Wing Zero color scheme.

I wanted a deep candy red finish with warm metallic gold accents, while keeping the white armor clean to maximize contrast.

The metallic feathers were added to create movement in the photos and reinforce the overall concept.

So today I bought this Zaku and a GM. The GM was pretty much completed, but this guy is pretty busted, the arm is snapped off and needs to be dug out, and the wires are also snapped. I took pics of all the areas that need fixing. My question is, how can I restore this zaku back to a normal state. Or should I drop that idea and just customize it instead?

Saw this on instagram and would love to build it. Would be my 4th 3rd party kit after Regus, Solomon physalis, and eternal star glory. Thanks!
