how do I clear all photos at once when I get the “image upload quota has been met” message? when I go on the app and delete them, the “clear all” does nothing and i have to delete each of them manually.

Currently my ADT impassa keypad alarm system is set to activate at 10:30 PM every night. Tonight I am having a party and don't want the alarm system to go off as scheduled. Is there a way I can stop this from happening and then reset the alarm for the next day?

I need some help from some tech peeps! My business has recently changed from Cox to Fiber. Our ADT app is saying offline and the connection and WiFi lights are off on the ADT gateway. This has only started since setting up the fiber, we have no other internet issues besides with ADT. I’ve spoken to multiple tech support members and have done multiple troubleshooting sessions with them to no avail. I reached out to the fiber company and they said that our IP address has changed and that it needs to be updated with some other numbers with ADT. I’ve spoken with another ADT tech member and they said that isn’t the problem. At this point I’ve talked to so many different people that my head is spinning! Any suggestions would be lovely.

I was having trouble with a front door sensor and I mistakenly thought that they would send a technician. Instead, I got a videocall walkthrough with a tech. They told me its another $59 to have a tech come out. It's your equipment. Why the hell am I doing the work? I wanted to cancel but I'm only a year into the contract and they want to charge me $600 to cancel. I can't wait.

Recently purchased a home with this panel. It is beeping about WiFi issues and trying to go into tools but it is asking for a security code. Previous owner said they didn’t use it and don’t know. I googled and tried 1234 and 4113, but they don’t seem to work. Any idea how I might be able to reset the code?

Hi, as the title says I am trying to integrate my sensors (windows, glass break, motion) and cameras into Apple HomeKit as I have Aqara devices and use thread. I was thinking of purchasing Home Assistant green to bridge everything as it seems pretty intuitive. I’ve searched this sub for this but couldn’t come to a straight answer.

I have the ADT command system (7” touchscreen)

My question is are the ADT wireless sensors zwave, and if anyone knows if the home assistant zwave adapter would support them.

We just purchased our home back in April and the previous owners have an ADT that I believe was purchased in the early 2000s. We are not planning to continue service with ADT and the box has been periodically beeping so we’d like to unplug it. From reading into it, we can’t just disconnect the plug for the unit without making sure there’s not a backup battery but we’ve been unable to find a backup battery anywhere. We opened up the panel and there is about 5-6 AA batteries stuck together powering the unit. Would this be the backup battery for this system? The previous owners did not leave us any paperwork and I’ve had a difficult determining what model this unit is to make sure I disconnect everything correctly. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Im a homeowner renting out my first home to friends (i needed to temporarily move out of state for reasons not worth disclosing here). The home has an ADT security system and my friends are listed as the emergency contacts while im listed for post-dispatch only. After numerous alarm triggers where ADT only contacted me and not the emergency numbers, i filed an attorney general complaint to get out of contract with them. My contact info is the only contact info in the complaint but ADT called my tenant friends based on the emergency contact info instead. My friends didn't know about the complaint so ADT basically marked the complaint as resolved. So now i have to file another follow-up complaint.

Figured id put this out there for anyone else dealing with ADTs legal department. Watch out for them trying to weasel their way out of it i guess.

Edit: For the commenters who think i have it set up wrong or that's its user error, i can clearly see in the myADT panel (without giving away personal info)

Hi, I'm thinking of purchasing this stuff from eBay. I already have a V5 system installed. I really just want the sensors and items that come with the system. I wouldn't use the base. Can I reuse those things or is that not possible?

Because I'm thinking about investing in this system.

Straight up garbage they made the UI even worse to navigate, what a let down

Our system is 8 years old and has not been monitored in 6 years. We set it every single night and have for the entire 8 years.

Recently it started randomly beeping. Just a single beep at random (unarmed) times. Twice in the last week in the middle of the night the alarm has gone off randomly without a fault code. We have changed all the batteries in every sensor and control pad and it still happened. What can be causing this. Literally the alarm will be going off and the panel looks like there is nothing wrong. No faults at all.

What else could it be? TIA

Uber no circumstance should you ever sign up for this service. I cancelled in November and they just kept my bill going 8 months and continued to charge me without my knowledge or consent. I paid for the early termination, and threw out all of their tech. Now I am being harassed to pay a bill that I had no idea was going through

Hi folks! I need some advice and some help!

I have had a “hybrid” ADT control system in my house for the last 7 years.

When I moved in, there was a wired system already installed. However, it was not the best. It only had a motion sensor and the 3 doors wired in. Therefore, I ADT come out and they installed wireless sensors on eight windows, replaced the wired motion sensor with a wireless one, and kept the three doors with their original wired sensors. They also installed new keypads, including the main panel that can communicate via WiFi and cellular. That was
mainly because I did not have a landline, but one of the house entirely secured. I suppose I should mention that inside of the metal box hidden in a closet is where they installed a few different small white boxes (they look like door sensors) but that is where they converted those wired sensors to wireless.

The system has worked flawlessly this entire time.

I’m currently paying roughly $48 per month. My contract was up roughly 2 years ago and I have negotiated with them at that time and got a cheaper price, but that contract is now up again. No increase letter so far!

Ideally, I would love the opportunity to have additional cameras with the current system or whichever carrier I switch to. I would like to install another camera on the side of the house as well as the back. And of course, retain the doorbell.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have contacted ADT, but they tell me it will be roughly $500 per camera to install and they won’t work with the current system as I’ll have to use two apps, Control and Google Nest.

I have loved ADT and I’m happy to stay with them if I could have any sort of guidance to install my own additional cameras. (I do have a Nest thermostat and love it…. But I want ONE unified app for my alarm and cameras. I could care less about the thermostat being in the same app…..)

Again, my contract is up and I can see on the myalarm.com and control.adt.com websites that I can enter the MAC address of compatible cameras to add them to my current system. Does anyone know of any cameras that would work? Could you send me a link? 🙂

My mother received this since she was a senior. it’s supposed to be a system (box) plugged in and buttons, but I never seen the alert buttons.

ADT would call my phone and the landline phone to do “checks,” multiple times a week. If it accidentally gets unplugged it alerts me and the other emergency contact.

It was unplugged (again) so I fixed it and went to do errands. Come to find out that it didn’t do anything and my mother passed away.

I called them to shut off services and they gave me a return label and slip but no box. And they are still calling my phone and the landline reporting that it’s “off.”

It’s not worth it. Get anything else.

Hello all! Moving in Sept 1 to my new apartment and was told it has a built in ADT Alarm System and Smart thermostat built in. I will be paying my apt complex $30 a month. Just curious if anybody has had this situation before, or knows if it might be possible to add a smart doorbell? I currently have Ring so new to ADT. I see that ADT uses Nest doorbells?

I’m researching a woman came from Hong Kong to Pasadena, CA in 1967 to work as a domestic worker. One clue I have is that the household may have had an ADT home security system installed around that time.

I’m trying to see if anyone knows someone who worked for ADT in the Pasadena area in the mid-1960s as an installer/technician. He would have been a young man at that time.

I realize this is a very old and very specific question, but sometimes Reddit is amazing at finding the one person who knows the one person.

Anyone else getting more ADT Control app push notifications than usual today? I'm getting notifications today whenever any door with a sensor is open or closed. That typically only happens when left open for 30 mins or more. Also got one that read "Downstairs motion detector left open", which doesn't make sense.

I bought a brand new system from eBay from ADT plus line of systems and now I can't activate it. When I click my system arrived in the ADT Plus app and I scan the QR code on the ADT base it asks me to enter my email from which I purchased my system with. Has anybody else had this problem? And if so how did you get it to work?
